And remember, socialism is not about free stuff. And government cannot give to someone what they have not first taken from somebody else. And our bill of the day is a perfect example. And this is House Bill 1418, online add-on transaction fee for a youth service enterprise. So there is a fee, which is also a tax, but they call it a fee because if they called it a tax, they would have to ask us if that was okay. And then they stick it in an enterprise area because then that way they don’t have to include that revenue when calculating the TABR, the Colorado Taxpayers Bill of Rights calculation to refund money when they overtax us. above a very generous formula of population plus inflation. And so this is going to make it more expensive for young people or people that play online. And it says that, and it’s all Democrats on this, the prime sponsors are Representative Yara Zokai, Representative Sean Camacho, Senator Judy Inville, and Senator Dylan Roberts. And this is the summary. It says concerning the provision of services to young people and in connection therewith requiring certain social media platforms that provide online gaming services, products, and features to young people to impose a fee on each add-on transaction and remit the fee to the Youth Mental Health Services Access Enterprise, which that enterprise is created in the bill. and directing the enterprise to use the fee revenue to operate and fund certain programs that provide mental health services to young people. So I’m going to go over to young Joe, because so many young people do access online gaming products and features. Joe, how do you feel about you being charged an additional fee if you’re playing a video game that is supposedly going to be used for mental health services for young people. But as we just saw, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, that this legislature, in order to try to, and as an air quotes, balance the budget, they’re rating these cash accounts of so many different entities. And so this is just another way to make life more expensive for our young people. So when they talk about affordability, this is going to be another fee that’s going to be What do you think about that, Producer Joe?
SPEAKER 07 :
Honestly, I don’t think it’s right because there are people across the world using the same services that get charged less because of where they live. And we can’t travel already because of the difficulty with oil and stuff, too. Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
So you’re not up for an additional fee for online gaming, Matt? Definitely not. And this, when we talk about affordability, I talk with so many young people that are getting squeezed. These are just these little, little things that make life more expensive or less affordable, if you will, for our young people. So again, this, and be sure when you vote, Vote. Do not vote for these people that are making your life more and more expensive. And that’s Representative Yara Zokai, Representative Sean Camacho, Senator Judy Immobile, and Senator Dylan Roberts. Let’s get over here. Our word of the day is lexicon. And it is spelled L-E-X-I-C-O-N. Number one, it could be a workbook or dictionary, especially Greek, Latin, or Hebrew. Number two, the vocabulary of a particular language, field, or social class, or person. Number three, inventory or record. As example, the lexicon of human relations. Number four, the total inventory of words or morphemes in a given language. And I mentioned these higher, the C, and I want to mention the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. This is my fellow board members who we are watching legislation. We’ve got basically three more weeks of this legislative session. Yeah, Kim, we finally have seen some relief in the auto side of things as opposed to homeowners. So focusing on auto, State Farm in May is going to issue a large dividend nationwide, like $5 billion in return premium to the insurers. And it’s interesting, we’re a You know, we’re a mutual company. We’re not a stock company. Most companies out there selling insurance are stock companies, and they have stockholders who we have to be responsible to for profit. State Farm, being a mutual company, is owned by the policyholders, in theory. You know, they don’t actually sit on the board, but we have… We don’t sell stock. So basically, we’ve made some… profit and we’re returning it to the policyholders beginning in May. And the magnitude of that’s going to vary. So it could be anywhere from $80 per car in the household to $100 per car in the household. So if you’re fortunate enough to have State Farm, you have three cars, you’re looking at somewhere between $240 and $300 in return premium because we’re a mutual company. That said, we still have a lot of pressure that as you pushing auto rates higher and higher. And we want to talk a little bit about that today. So what we’ve seen is nearly a 50% rise in auto costs over recent years. And auto body prices, for example, in just repair cars, they’ve gone up 4.5%. So vehicles are more complex than ever, as we know. So when they’re in an accident, It isn’t a simple repair anymore. I had one car in a shop for almost three months because it was sideswiped and they couldn’t get the computers in the car. And I’m going to pick on Infinity, not because I think they’re a bad product, because I have one and they’re a great product. But essentially what happens is they can’t calibrate all the computers in the car to work. So when that happens, what do they do? The car gets tied up forever in the body shop. It can’t be released to the streets because of the complexity of cars. So longer repair times due to a backup in orders and parts, longer delivery times, skill shortages in repair facilities, all these things are increasing the rate of auto insurance. So when we say a $5 billion dividend… a return of premium, essentially, we’re doing that for a six-month period. So we go back and look at the previous six months and say, you know, we guessed wrong. We thought we’d have more claims, more accidents than we had. And as a result of guessing too high, we return premium. Correspondingly, next six months, we may guess too low. So rates could go up. We have to have enough money to cover the costs that are being passed through to us with auto accidents.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. Well, I would say that’s very refreshing to actually get some money back. And that’s going to be real money. in the pockets of State Farm auto insurance holders. That’s a great deal. Well, it’s good to have you, Scott. And so you’re running for the Colorado State Legislature. Tell us what district… And what that, what that district encompasses.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. So I am running for Colorado state house, uh, in house district 61. And so that’s in south Aurora and, uh, East centennial. It’s kind of a weird jaggedy looking district, but, uh, it’s entirely below Quincy avenue and east of Parker road or 83. And then it goes down into Douglas County just a tiny bit, and it goes over towards the Aurora Reservoir. So it’s right in that area.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. Well, and Scott, tell us a bit about you. What’s your background?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, my background, I’m Colorado native, second-generation Colorado native. I was born in Aurora. And this is where I grew up. This is my home. Uh, prior to all this, uh, I ran a wealth management firm. Uh, I was down in Lone Tree and I was there for almost five years. And, you know, I’ve, I’ve learned how to read a budget and I can tell you a $1.5 billion budget deficit isn’t very good. Uh, but, uh, from there I ended up working with a nonprofit and, Uh, Christian ministry. And then, uh, now I’m, I’m here, uh, I’m looking at being the next representative or house district 61.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, this is really important. Scott Shamblin, because the Democrats, um, are very close to having super majorities that, that in essence could over ride a governor’s veto. And that really shifts any balance of power away from the people of Colorado. So these races are very important for both these House districts and Senate districts, Scott Shamblin.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I absolutely agree. We’ve effectively had one party rule here in Colorado for almost, I believe, about two decades. And that hasn’t gotten us. to a very good place. We’re Colorado’s number one in bank robberies. We’re number two in car thefts. We’re the number two most dangerous state in the country. It’s pretty clear that something is not working.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and Scott, I think it’s important that people that just vote party, that they understand that this Democrat party is not the Democrat party of JFK or their grandparents. The Democrat Party that is in control in Colorado consists of radical activists that want to control every aspect of our lives. In fact, I had just mentioned this. You know, so many young people feel so squeezed. And there is this bill. It’s House Bill 1418. It’s an online add-on transaction fee. And then they’re going to take that money and supposedly put it into mental health. for young people. But as the president cut Colorado unions of taxpayers just a few weeks ago, we went through and they are rating so many different cash funds because you alluded to this, the $1.5 billion shortfall. And instead of reducing spending, they are, I feel Scott, like they are turning the people of Colorado upside down and shaking every dime out of our pockets.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, absolutely. They’ve been raiding the unclaimed property trust fund for years now. If anybody listening, if all you get out of this today is that You may want to check the unclaimed property trust fund. You could have thousands of dollars in there and not even know it. And the Democrats are taking from it to pay for their spending for all their little pet projects. That’s not protecting you as the individual. That’s not securing your rights. That’s actually taking your property.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and Scott, I’ve looked at that bill. And as much as I want to blame Democrats on it, and I do, there are Republicans that have their name on that bill. And that is super frustrating for me, Scott.
SPEAKER 12 :
No, I absolutely agree. The Republicans need to get it together as well.
SPEAKER 10 :
True that. Okay, so Scott Shamblin, what is the first thing that you would go to work on
SPEAKER 12 :
when elected to house district 61. well my priority is affordability uh there’s a little bit of a correlation here we’re the sixth most regulated state and we’re the sixth most expensive state to live in the sixth worst state to retire so we got to talk about affordability a little bit when you are regulating everything to the degree that we are, it makes it a little bit more expensive for businesses to exist. And when it’s more expensive for businesses to exist, it’s more expensive for all of us. The other thing is our crime. It goes hand in hand. We have some really bad retail thefts. All the retail thefts in Colorado… you’re paying for because the business has to raise their prices so that they can stay in business. That’s lost tax revenue. You know, that’s revenue they could be using for all these different programs, but instead they’re stealing more from you. So cracking down on crime and making things a tiny bit more affordable would be my first intention in office.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. Well, those two things, as you say, they really go hand in hand. And I remember when Colorado was the place that people wanted to move to, and now we have businesses that are moving out. And when that happens, you mentioned tax revenue, but when those businesses move out that have been providing tax revenue and the spending does not go down by government, Everyday people have to make that up, which makes their lives less affordable. It’s just, it all connects Scott Shamblin. So you and I have run into each other for a number of years because you are doing such important work. And it’s important that you’ve stepped forward to run for this particular seat. How can people get more information about you? And how can people… help you.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, absolutely. The way people can help me is, first off, I just need people. I need people like you to show up and help us flip the district. This is a very winnable seat, and so we need people that are able to help financially because, let’s be honest, we cannot do this without some sort of financial contribution. Everything costs money, especially in Colorado. And then also volunteers showing up. You know, we had almost 120 people at my kickoff. It was one of the best that has happened in 10 years for the, whether governor, Congress or Senate, that shows people are going to show up, but we need more. The way people.

Well, it’s good to have you as well. And Molly, you have Colorado roots, correct?
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, I’m a native of Colorado. I haven’t been able to live there for a few decades, but always want to get back. And my family lives in the Denver area. Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
And Molly, first, before we get into the book, Saturday night at the White House correspondence dinner, there was a possible attempt upon Trump or members of his administration. And so were you there or what? What’s the latest? Because you’re in the Washington, D.C. area. What’s what’s everybody talking about regarding that?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, it wasn’t. you know, just a possible attempt. We have the writings from the man who stormed security with, with his guns. And he said he was seeking to assassinate Trump and some Trump administration officials. He furthermore seemed to say he was doing this because he believed a lot of left-wing narratives that you hear in corporate media about the Russia collusion hopes and other conspiracies that are put forth by the media. So it’s an evil individual, but it also speaks to problems we have with our media environment and what happens when they lie about people they politically oppose.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and this radicalization is really fomenting this hatred in our country. And I hear so many people say that, oh, our country is so divided that Trump is so divisive. And my response has been is that it’s difficult to unite with people that basically hate our country. And that this narrative is being… very repetitive, as you mentioned, in mainstream media. How do we address this, Molly Hemingway?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I would say, actually, I would not have recommended that President Trump even attend that dinner. These people have lied about him and every single conservative and Republican in America for decades. Why treat them like they are worthy of attention? And then for him to go on 60 Minutes following this, He handles himself fine, of course, in these interviews. But again, why give propagandists the benefit of your presence when they are doing so much to damage the country? I think we just kind of move on past these conspiracies all the time. What they did with the Russia collusion hoax was absolutely horrific. It threatened the survival of the republic. And either they were so unable to understand logic and basic reason that they believed it or they were lying about it and did it just for political gain. And there are a thousand other hoaxes they do, whether it’s the Kavanaugh smear about a very well-respected federal judge or lies they told about how to manage COVID. They lie so frequently that they should not be treated with any respect. We used to treat them with respect because they used to at least pretend to not be solely on one side, but they shouldn’t moderate debates. They shouldn’t get to talk to you just because they want to talk to you. And also, those media outlets that aren’t corrupt should be spoken to by people who know better.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and so with that, you are senior editor at The Federalist, which is a very important publication.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, thanks. Yeah, editor-in-chief for a few years now. But at The Federalist, we work very hard to report the news each day without the propaganda that you see from other sides to say accurately what’s going on and to expose some of what the media are doing with their lies.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. And on a regular basis, one of your writers, Helen Raleigh, is on the show regularly. She’s here in Colorado as well. But let’s get over here to your book, Alito, The Justice Who Reshaped the Supreme Court and Restored the Constitution. Molly, there has been, I know at least since the early 90s, this movement to put in place different judges and justices that look at the Constitution as a, I have this in air quotes, living Constitution instead of what the founders meant with the original Constitution. So Alito has kind of been under the radar, but this is a really important book. And you started off with talking about activists that were in front of the Supreme Court. A woman climbed up on the statue out in front of the Supreme Court. And so walk us through why Alito is so important.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, that left wing activist who climbed the statue of the Supreme Court on the day that they were literally trying to bang the doors. And that woman’s actually from Colorado, too. I don’t know what got a lot of Colorado connections here. But when Kerry Severino and I co-authored our previous book on the Kavanaugh confirmation, I was struck by how many high level people had said, you know, nobody talks about Justice Samuel Alito and he’s the giant on the court. And it’s true. Nobody talks about him. And then when you have these major rulings, like the Hobby Lobby decision, which protected the religious freedom of privately held corporations, or the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, which had been a goal of the conservative legal movement for 50 minutes, for 50 years, who was the guy doing it? It was Samuel Alito. His colleagues respect him. They think he’s brilliant. They think he’s the best at oral argument. But he’s very, very reserved. and very humble. And so nobody ever talks about him. And I decided pretty much then I wanted to write his story. And I’m so glad I did, because nobody has done it before, even though he’s been on the Supreme Court for 20 years. And I’m just thrilled with how many people are interested in it and how well the book is doing, and that other people shared my curiosity about this guy who we know so little about.
SPEAKER 10 :
So tell us about Alito. What’s his story? Where did he grow up? How did he become who he is?
SPEAKER 08 :
So a lot of people who become Supreme Court justices are, they’re all usually quite smart, brilliant even. They strive to be a federal judge. And that was true of Samuel Alito. He did want to be a federal judge. But unlike many of his colleagues, he didn’t campaign to be on the Supreme Court. He grew up outside of Newark to the grandson of four immigrants and the son of an immigrant from Italy. His father was a lifelong public servant. He was deeply influenced by his father. He was very smart and devoted from a young age, also very into baseball, and went to elite institutions like Princeton for college and Yale University for law. But unlike so many people who have this elite schooling background, He’d never changed from who he was, which was a conservative, deeply respectful, quiet, scholarly man. And he just has been consistent throughout his whole life. He’s very good at debate, which is why he’s the best at oral argument, along with Elena Kagan, the top liberal on the court. The two of them are widely considered the best at oral argument. So just kind of fun to get into stuff like that. And also by interviewing, I interviewed nearly 100 people for the book, got a lot of backstories, funny stories about him and his treatment of his clerks, but also interesting stories about the other justices, including some never before, like really widely known, but never before published information about how Justice Elena Kagan does not treat her clerks very well, according to all the other clerks who serve in the Supreme Court. Just got some good behind the scenes information, too.
SPEAKER 10 :
So, Molly, how do you go about writing this book? Because you mentioned you had interviewed over 100 people. How much time goes into the research to actually write a book like this?
SPEAKER 08 :
Kim, that is such a painful question because this took a long time for me. I usually like to write books fairly quickly. And so it took several years. I put in the acknowledgments that when I told my children that I was writing another book, one of them cried. But it’s so worth it. I mean, I feel very vindicated that I thought this was a good idea for a book and with sales going so well and getting such great feedback from other people. Not just like I’m getting, you know, if I can just say it, I’m getting very nice feedback from high profile people, but also very great feedback from people who like to read about the Supreme Court who maybe aren’t, you know, they aren’t themselves federal judges or anything. And that’s what I was trying to do, right, for people. I think it’s important that we all know about the court and the justices. Every single other justice has had a book, has had many books written about them or at least a book where they’ve written books themselves. But Alito, who’s been on the court since 2006, this is the first one. And I’m just glad to have done it and glad that, that people can know more about him. There’s one thing I want to say about him too. The reason why I thought it was important to talk about him is that a lot of people in conservatism in America, they’re either super principled and they don’t care about the pragmatic effects of what they’re doing, or they don’t care at all about principle. They just care about winning. And Alito is this guy who he is very principled, but he is, he just delivers win after win after win. The left seemed to pay more attention to him because they saw how pragmatic and successful he was at moving the law in the direction that he wanted, but moving the understanding of the law in the direction he wanted. But it’s time for conservatives also to understand his significance.

Do I remember right? I think it was during one of the State of the Union addresses by Obama that was, did Alito shake his head and say that’s not true? Do I remember that correctly?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I believe it was the 2010 State of the Union. President Obama had, everyone admits that what he said was not true, but he was referring to a Supreme Court ruling, Citizens United, I believe. And he had said something that just wasn’t true about the decision. And Alito was at, you know, this is one of the first State of the Unions he’s attended. So he doesn’t realize there are cameras on him at all times. And he mouths the words, simply not true. And it became this huge deal. And of course, the media acted like he had done something wrong by politely mouthing that this was not true when President Obama lied. And he just hasn’t really gone to State of the Union since then. He used to get in trouble when he was a debate student that he was a very good debater, like a state champion debater, but he would sometimes get marked off for showing his own feelings. And you’ll still see clerks talk about this, or he’ll even get in trouble on the bench. The reporters will say, he rolled his eyes when so-and-so had a stupid question. And so there’s a thing the clerks do at the end of it. The clerks are the one-year elite law school graduates who help the justices. Each justice has four of these per year. And at the end of the year, they put on a variety show. And one year, they put on a world series of poker featuring Sam Alito. And It was just making fun of how at the moment he got his hand, if it was a good hand, he beamed widely. And if it was a bad hand, he would look smug. And so it’s an issue he’s had to deal with. But it’s funny because he’s so controlled in his personality normally that it’s kind of nice to see that he does have this human side as well.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, my gosh. I bet that is funny. How do the justices get along? Do they get along pretty well? Or what does that look like?
SPEAKER 08 :
So historically, they’ve really worked to get along because you have nine smart and usually they disagree pretty strongly justices who have to work together for the rest of their lives. And they usually contain their insults to their written work. You know, if they have an opinion and they don’t like what the dissent said, or if they have a dissent, they don’t like what the opinion said. You’ll get some pretty mean stuff in the written word, but then they all go out for drinks or they have lunch together and it’s no big deal. But recently you’ve seen people get much more hostile. Democrat-appointed Sonia Sotomayor recently had to apologize for going, viciously going after her colleague Brett Kavanaugh and deriding him as some rich kid, which is very personal and weird. And then you’ve also had the justices publicly undermining the integrity of the court, the left-wing justices. So I think that one of the most explosive parts of my book is the story I tell about how after the Dobbs decision was leaked, The liberal justices conspired to delay the release of the opinion, even though they knew that their colleagues were literally under death threat. Including, you might remember that Justice Kavanaugh had an assassin on his street who was arrested and who claimed he wanted to kill Kavanaugh, as well as two other, at least two other justices. So these were real live threats. The justices had to wear body armor or like a bulletproof vest. They had to be moved to secure locations. And their colleagues, and I have all the details of how this happened, but they were asked by the Dobbs riders, please get this out. And instead, they slow walked it quite dramatically, so for seven weeks. And so, you know, even that they get along so well as they do now is kind of remarkable, given that two to three of their colleagues didn’t really care if, didn’t seem to care about the death threats they were under.
SPEAKER 10 :
And what was the strategy? Why did they slow walk that decision?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, a lot of people think, oh, my gosh, they wanted these people dead. I don’t think they wanted their colleagues dead, per se. But I do think they were looking for more time to somehow figure out a way to preserve that Roe v. Wade decision, which was widely considered one of the top five worst decisions ever to come out of the court. Even liberals agree it’s not constitutional. Whatever it is, it’s not constitutional law. But they liked it because they so loved claiming that there was a right to abortion hidden in the Constitution. And they were hoping to persuade one of the weaker conservative justices to go with them in not overturning Roe. It had previously been reported, not by me, that there had been an effort by Justice Breyer, who recently retired and was replaced by Katonji Brown-Jackson, and Chief Justice John Roberts to try to pull Kavanaugh away from the Dobbs decision. But he withstood the pressure and he went ahead and voted to overturn Roe. So I think they were looking for more time. And I think they also wanted these people who were doing this difficult thing of overturning Roe, I think they wanted them to know the left will resort to violence, like it’s going to be very bad. And it was. I mean, they firebombed like 100 churches and pro-life pregnancy centers or otherwise attacked them. They went after the lives of the justices. And you’ll remember, nobody did anything about it. Merrick Garland didn’t do anything about it. President Biden’s spokesperson said she hopes that protests would continue. And it was a difficult and lonely time. And I think there’s a lot of pressure to not do what you should do, according to the law, because of tantrums from the left, which gets back to the very first thing you were saying, which is about the third major assassination attempt on Trump. President Trump. And really, there have been even more than those three. But this is this is another scary moment this weekend.
SPEAKER 10 :
So remember when Schumer was on the steps of the Supreme Court, I think a lot of people don’t realize that when they say, oh, Trump is so divisive. I think that what you’ve just described here with the radical activists left resorting to violence, there’s no way you can unite with people that are resorting to violence. But I think a lot of people don’t remember Schumer on the steps of the Supreme Court.
SPEAKER 08 :
He was this was a couple of years ago. It was after Justice Kavanaugh had been confirmed. Chuck Schumer, then I think the minority leader of the court. Yes. He goes on the steps of the Supreme Court and he says, you know, I tell you, Justice Kavanaugh, I tell you, Justice Gorsuch, you have like reaped the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You’ve sown the whirlwind and you will pay the price. And he it was a direct threat on two justices. He wanted them to rule in the way he wanted on an abortion related decision. And he was willing to threaten violence. Now, thankfully, when that happened, pretty much everybody, left and right, condemned Schumer. But he has still not apologized. He has been, you know, everyone has told him, you should really not be doing this. It’s very norm-breaking, threatening to the court. And he has defended his actions. He’s like, I’m from New York. I get to talk this way. Well, then a couple of years after that, you had a group of Democrat senators write a letter to the court and say, if you do not do something the way we want you to do it, we’re going to pack the court. And packing the court refers to changing the number of justices on the court to achieve a desired political outcome. And that threat was completely inappropriate across the branches of government. I actually do think President Trump has spoken inappropriately about the court as well, about the Supreme Court, or maybe it’s also just not in his best interest to speak that way. We do have a problem with our federal judiciary, these rogue Lower federal judges are a serious problem. But we shouldn’t break these norms. If you don’t have rule of law, you don’t really have much of a republic to be left standing. And so a lot of people could be doing a lot better on this.
SPEAKER 10 :
And when we say rule of law, that is constitutional law, which Alito is restoring that here in America. We’ve got about 10 seconds left. Molly Hemingway, how would you like to button this up?
SPEAKER 08 :

And just how bad that has been for our farmers and our ranchers, which ultimately that means it’s bad for our food sources. So make sure that you do those things. And Jenny, thank you for making sure to remind me about that. Let’s see. Let’s get over here to our word of the day. which is lexicon, spelled L-E-X-I-C-O-N. Number one, it could be a workbook or dictionary, especially like Greek, Latin, or Hebrew. Number two, the vocabulary of a particular language, field, or social class or person. Number three, an inventory or record, for example, the lexicon of human relations. And number four, the total inventory of words or morphemes in a given language. So your challenge is to use the word lexicon in a sentence today. I could maybe try to use this as the lexicon word. of the constitutional principles that America was founded upon in referring to Molly Hemingway’s book, Alito, the Justice Who Reshaped the Supreme Court and Restored the Constitution. Be still and be. I just love that. And again, that’s Psalm 4610. Our bill of the day is House Bill 261418. And it is a new enterprise, which these enterprise zones are a way to get around TABOR, Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights. And it’s a new online add-on transaction fee, which it says, this is the summary, concerning the provision of services to young people, and in connection therewith requiring certain social media platforms that provide online gaming services, products, and features to young people to impose a fee. And supposedly this is for youth mental health. But we have seen, as Scott Shamblin had mentioned in the first hour, he’s running for House District 61, that they are rating many of, well, he didn’t mention this, but regarding the cash in many of these different accounts, government accounts, So that’s one thing, but also they are raiding the unclaimed property fund, and that is being done by both Republicans and Democrats, which is wrong. All those things, it’s like theft. It’s stealing. But anyway, creating this new enterprise zone and then creating this new fee makes life less affordable for everyday people. And again, that’s House Bill 26-14-18. And all these discussions happen because of our great sponsors. The big news really over the weekend was the attempt upon Trump’s life at the White House Correspondents Conference. dinner and a young guy 31 years old from torrance california um i actually shot a federal agent i think it was secret service shot him in the chest but he had on a bulletproof vest but uh this guy this uh Young man had had a manifesto that he had sent to his family shortly before this attack, saying that he was going after those in the Trump administration and ultimately Trump. And it looks like, at least from the stories that I’ve read, that he’s been radicalized. And as Molly Hemingway mentioned, the left, this mainstream media, she said it, that they are putting out lies, but they are fomenting this hatred in our country. And I’ve talked to many people that have people in their lives who they love very much that have this tremendous hatred for for Donald Trump and those in his administration and anyone that would even allude to supporting Donald Trump, these are well-meaning people that hatred is consuming their lives. And this is really heartbreaking. So we’ve got to continue to speak truth into all of these issues. Hey, good morning, Kim. How are you?
SPEAKER 10 :
I am well. It’s good to have you. And you’ve written a really important piece regarding, you said, demography is destiny and the left isn’t reproducing. And you said in the battle for the future, the side having children may have already won, which I agree with. However, they do try to get their hands on these children through the public education system. So walk us through this piece that you recently published.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, sure. It’s based on fertility rates among basically those aligned conservatively, politically versus on the left. And conservatives are reproducing at practically twice the rate of the liberals. The liberal women are not having kids. A lot of them are not marrying. They’re prioritizing career or they’re prioritizing being single and treating men as evil and patriarchal and handmaid’s tale and all that. And a lot of them are staying single and by virtue of that, not having families. And others are worried about climate change and believe that the world is going to end imminently, as we’ve been told for decades, that the world’s going to be uninhabitable in 10 years. None of those predictions have come true. But from Al Gore to AOC to Greta Van Thunberg to all sorts of people that make that claim, and people are afraid to have kids because they’re, you know, if that’s true, why would you want to bring children into a world that’s going to be an apocalyptic nightmare of burning up? But none of those things are happening. So for a variety of reasons, conservatives are having kids. uh, the left, uh, views abortion as a Holy sacrament and they’re far more likely to have abortions than conservatives. Um, religious attendance also plays a role, uh, families that are nuclear families with a mom and dad and, uh, have a religious basis and conservative values are reproducing and the, um, The awfuls, as the acronym describes, the affluent white urban liberal women, are not reproducing. And since kids tend to, not always, as I’m sure we all know plenty of examples, kids tend to follow the politics of their parents, not exclusively. I have three that have followed their parents’ politics, but I hear horror stories from others where conservative parents and they’ve got a, flaming liberal kid. And that’s, you’re, you’re alluding to the education system and going away to a four year liberal arts college. And you never know what you’re going to get, uh, in, in return for that. Uh, but for a variety of reasons, it’s, uh, conservatives are reproducing and the liberals are not. So that’s, that’s what it comes down to. And, and the mob demographics is destiny. If you’re producing more right-leaning conservative thinking, uh, future voters that bodes well for the conservative movement, whereas the left is not reproducing and is not going to fill the ranks, which is why they may be pushing open borders and other ways to fill the ranks of people that vote like they do, although for different reasons, not ideologically, but more for survival and benefits and things like that. But that’s It’s an interesting demographic trend, and in the long run it plays out. It’s not going to be immediately, but over a few generations there will be that shift.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and… We have to address this education system. And Colorado is, Dr. Jundep, I think is at the tip of the spear of so many things that are happening in our education system, tip of the spear regarding abortion. I think a lot of people don’t realize that here in Colorado, you can have an abortion up until the time of birth. And I think a lot of people don’t realize that in doing so, that those late-term abortions means that they have to, is the word dismember the baby? I think a lot of people don’t understand that. Because I think if they did, I think they might have a different view about abortion. And you’re a doctor, so that’s true, right?
SPEAKER 15 :
Absolutely. It’s ironic that… I think it was the Dobbs decision that basically overturned Roe versus Wade. Much hand-wringing and everyone on the left was all outraged and it’s the end of women. Well, in Colorado, if you’re pro-abortion, that’s a bonus because all the Dobbs decision said is, and correct me if I’m wrong on the name of the decision, it said the states do what they want. And Colorado said, no limits on abortion, uh, up until, uh, uh, delivery. So a woman that’s, uh, 40 weeks pregnant can be walking down the street. And on one side of the street is a hospital. And the other side is Planned Parenthood. And they could just as easily and quite legally, uh, turn one direction to the hospital to have a healthy baby or turn the other direction to, uh, kill a healthy baby. And it’s, it’s, it’s really, you know, very dark that that choice exists. It’s, it’s not a clump of cells. It’s a human being. Um, it’s not abortion at 12 weeks. I mean, all abortions wrong from, from my perspective, but, uh, you know, a full-term baby, this is a baby that’s born and, and develops normally. Even eight weeks, 10 weeks earlier, premature babies are delivered and spend some time in the ICU, but they, they grow, they develop medical technology is, uh, has saved so many of these kids. It’s not a clump of cells. It’s not a choice. It’s not a lifestyle factor. It’s a human being. And, uh, back to the demographics, it’s, it’s, More likely, the child being aborted is going to grow up to be a potential left-leaning voter politically. So that’s where the demographics factor. That’s hard to quantify because the studies don’t really delve into political affiliation of those having abortions or not. But I think you can tell by those in favor of it, those that want unlimited abortion or logically, those more likely to have one themselves versus the opposite. If you’re pro-drug, pro-marijuana, pro-psychedelics, et cetera, common sense says you’re more likely to use them yourselves than somebody that’s against it, if that makes sense. So I think that’s how you can extrapolate, although loosely, what the political affiliations are going to be.
SPEAKER 10 :
And that is why, though, conservative parents, and when I use the word conservative, because the word conservative has been demonized, but what it means to me, Dr. June Depth, is that we conserve and preserve these foundational principles of of our American founding. And what is that? That all men are created equal with these rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. And so from that, you can get to a point where life then… I know that there are many that… I have to tell you, years and years and years ago, I was pro-choice because I really didn’t understand. It was before I had children. I was buying into this stupid narrative that it’s just a clump of cells. And once I had my first child, I’m like, wait a minute, this isn’t the case. And when we say life, liberty, pursuit of happiness… A woman says, my body, my choice, but there’s also another body. And to take away their choice to live is antithetical to the American idea. So when I hear the word conservative, that means that we are preserving and conserving these foundational principles of our country, which makes America unique in the history of mankind. Dr. June.
SPEAKER 15 :
Absolutely. Absolutely. It’s natural law. It’s, the sanctity of life, the preservation of life. Liberty is the ability to be free, to live our lives as we choose without the heavy yoke of government, of regulations. And Colorado fails dismally with that. It’s constant taxes and fees and you can’t do this and you can’t do that. And it’s living in a nanny state. And the pursuit of happiness is to to do your thing, to be able to live your life. And it doesn’t mean you can hurt others. It means you’re free to live. You’re not free to live in Denver if the average home price is $650,000. That’s kind of hard to pursue happiness.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, most definitely. And so that’s why these foundational principles, they’re important. And it’s important to teach our children this. We’ve got to be very careful about this education system. There’s such a big battle regarding that right now. And Colorado, I think, is at the tip of the spear of so many of these ideological battles. OK, Dr. June Depp, this is a pretty important piece. People get to a point where they really love political candidates and that starts to move them away from really looking at the issues. So where should we start regarding this piece that you just published today at American Thinker?
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, number one, the, the, uh, getting a Republican elected governor in Colorado is a big uphill battle. And my personal feeling is regardless of who the candidate is, uh, the only decision will be by whether they lose by 10 or 20 points, just on the track record since, uh, bill Owens, but it’s important to run a good candidate and you never know. Um, I think. With revelations happening at a national level, the Republicans may have some coattails that translate to Colorado. I know Trump’s not particularly popular in Colorado, but if good things happen, there’s a possibility. So it’s important that we field good candidates. And Victor Marx is one of the leading candidates. I don’t know him personally. I’ve never met him. Um, but what I do know is he, he tends to be a bit evasive on, uh, answering questions and specific policies and, and how are you going to, what are you going to do for Colorado? Uh, he’s got an interesting life story and there’s rumors that some of it may or may not be true. These things all have to be addressed. My concern is that if there are, if there’s opposition research or, or stuff out there. And I’ve heard lots of people talk about these things that could be damaging to him. I’m sure the, uh, left-wing media in Denver is well aware. And if he secures the nomination the next day, all this stuff’s going to come out and that could potentially torpedo his candidacy. Now’s the time to be, to be very transparent. And I love the idea of an outsider running. He’s a political outsider. And in my article, I compared him to Donald Trump who’d never held political office, but Trump was very specific. He came down the escalator in June, 2015 and said, I’m going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. And that immediately there there’s policy. You have to take Trump, uh, seriously, not necessarily literally. It’s not like Mexico is going to write a check, but through tariffs and other things and, and drug monies, whatnot, uh, Mexico, in essence, did pay a lot of that, and we did build a wall. And finally, in his second term, that’s happening. But he was specific. He was specific about endless wars, about funding NATO, about waste and fraud in government and lawfare and things like that and corruption. And he’s been going after those things. You have to be specific and give reason that Give people a reason to vote for you. Not that you have a compelling story or what you did in your past. That’s not what you’re being elected governor for. And whether you have military experience or pastoral experience or rescued people, whatever, that’s not your job as a governor. Your job as a governor is to help fix Colorado. We’ve got crumbling roads. We lead the country in crime and auto theft and in larceny. The Denver’s unaffordable. The education system has problems. Um, insurance rates are sky high. It’s Denver’s not what it was 20 years ago. And what are specific policies to, to get us back there? Got to talk about that. And he’s got to be upfront with, with these allegations and, and, uh, put them to rest. Trump, Trump came in with all sorts of allegations. He colluded with the Russians. He hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed in Moscow.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I forgot about that.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, it’s, it’s, it’s on and on. There’s, you know, even, even today, you know, Trump, Trump’s a rapist. He’s a pedophile. He’s the Nazi. He’s this, he’s that. And, and he bats off these questions and he, Trump will face the media daily. Everyone at the White House press court dinner the other night has Trump’s cell phone number, and they call him. And they can call him anytime, and he talks to them. That’s transparency. If Trump just ran as telling stories about his days as hosting The Apprentice and The Art of the Deal and how he did this deal in New York and this deal in Atlantic City and blah, blah, that’s not why you’re voting for him for president. And I think Victor needs to be to get out there and take any and all questions and be very transparent so that there’s nothing lurking out there that’s going to come out if he gets the nomination. I don’t know if he’s going to get it, but if he does, then you better believe those things are, you know, the Kyle Clark’s of the world or have a whole dossier ready to, you know, pounce on them. And if you don’t do interviews, you’re evasive. You’ve got to do the interviews. Trump does. He’s, Talks to the press every day before he gets on a plane, he gets off the plane on the airplane is, I mean, in one week he has more press exposure than Biden had in four years. And these are spontaneous questions. They can ask whatever, if it’s a stupid question, Trump will say so, but, uh, he answers. And, uh, I think the Republican candidates for Colorado have to do the same because the media is. out there waiting and they’re doing their opposition research. And if you’re not ahead of these things and being very transparent, uh, that could come back and bite you, even if it’s just rumor and innuendo. And I’m not saying any of these things are true that the accusations and rumors floating out there, but they need to be addressed head on. Otherwise it’s going to be a very unpleasant October surprise for the Republican candidate and they will lose badly. And then it’s another four or eight years of a Democrat governor and Republicans pointing the finger and who’s to blame and the rhinos versus the grassroots and on and on and on. And meanwhile, we’re a state with single party rule. So that’s kind of my point is let’s grow up and let’s field a good candidate and have them be very transparent about their past and explain their issues and why they want to run.
SPEAKER 10 :
So, Dr. June Depp, I really work to stay focused on the issues, and I will mention people regarding the issues. For example, I had mentioned, as the president of Colorado’s Union of Taxpayers, it’s an all-volunteer organization, we are watching all of the legislation and I don’t have the bill number in front of me. I can get it pretty quickly, but there is basically a raid on, on the unclaimed property fund here in Colorado. And it has bipartisan support. And Senator Barbara Kirkmeyer, who is also, as you mentioned, a candidate for governor, has her name on that bill, which I find extremely frustrating. And then regarding Victor Marks, I have a number of really valued people in my life who are just so supportive of Victor Marks. And I care about them deeply and they are just really convinced that he is the candidate. And so many of them have asked for me to get him on the show. And Any candidate that reaches out to me, I don’t go out and chase candidates, but any candidate that reaches out to me, I will put them on the show. So I’ve had, I bet, five or six valued listeners, valued people in my lives reaching out, say, hey, get Victor Marks on the show. So much so that I ended up in probably close to a 30-minute conversation with his campaign manager, which it ended up like he was interviewing me instead of trying to set up an interview. And I ended the conversation with, anytime you want to get Victor on the show, text me and I will do so. That text has never come in. I also was the moderator for Candidate Forum out in Phillips County in Holyoke. And Victor Marks had agreed that he was going to be at that candidate forum. And then two weeks before, he let them know that he was not going to show up, which I really feel if unless there is some significant family emergency, if you say you’re going to be there, you be there. And so I did finally, I’d not heard him speak. So he was speaking at a luncheon, which I did go to. And it was interesting, as you mentioned, he talked about his history. But I, like you, find it very frustrating that he will not answer questions. And like I say, he’s got a… an invitation to come onto the show. And like I say, people that I care about deeply have said, get him on, but he will not come on my show.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, that’s troubling as a candidate. And again, comparing to Trump, Trump did an interview, I guess, last night with 60 Minutes. 60 Minutes is hostile. I think Trump successfully sued the network for $16 million over Stephanopoulos or whatever. I may have the networks wrong, but you know, these are very hostile networks, but he’s, he’s on there. I mean, he’ll be interviewed by people from CNN or MSNBC. And he did that as a candidate in 2016. He, he took all hard interviews and answered questions. You can’t run and hide. You can’t run on a narrative. And I have people on both sides. Like you said, I have, friends and trusted people that, you know, think he walks on water and others that are, uh, think quite the opposite, that there’s a lot of, uh, exaggeration or claims that are not true. I don’t know. It’s it’s, but it’s, as a candidate, it’s incumbent upon him to address these things. Uh, because if he doesn’t, the media will. the media in Denver is predominantly left-leaning and they will have a heyday. They will go after these things and there will be exposés and witnesses and people that say this and that, and that’s going to lead the evening news. But that’s not going to happen until once he secures the nomination, if he does. They’d love a candidate like that to secure the nomination and they have a wheelbarrow full of opposition research that they’re going to drop on his lap, and there goes his candidacy, and it’s too late. He’s the nominee. So my friendly advice, because I’d love to see a Republican governor, is to get out in front of these things, address all these things, so once you get the nomination, nothing’s going to come out. Trump was well vetted by the time he got the nomination, and it’s like, All these other accusations were, yeah, we’ve heard that before and he’s addressed it. And it’s a non-issue. And then you can talk about the issues that are important, not what you did in the war and who you rescued and ministries and things like that. That’s all great. And that’s part of one’s life story. But that’s fine if you’re writing a book or you’re going to be a motivational speaker. But if you’re running a state, you need to demonstrate executive power. experience and knowledge and what you’re going to do. Right. And you have to appeal to the farmer in Weld County and the soccer mom in Parker and and, you know, the ne’er do well in Boulder and all these different factions. You have you have to appeal to them and give them reason, especially the unaffiliated. That’s the majority party in Colorado.

I am well. And so tell us a little bit about you for people that may not know you, Joe Oltman.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, Kim, that’s a little bit of a difficult task. I mean, how much time do you have? Three hours?
SPEAKER 10 :
Give us the cliff notes.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m a tech CEO. I’ve run multiple companies. I’ve spent the last six years working on election fraud, not just in our state, but around the country, over 900 flights over those six years. Um, I’ve been sued, attacked, you name it. It’s probably happened to me. And, um, yeah, I run a successful set of companies. Uh, I have a gun stores and ranges and tech companies and a bunch of other, uh, various ventures. I’m married 24 years.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 14 :
Two beautiful kids.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. Well, you have thrown your hat in the ring to become the next state chair of the GOP here in Colorado. The question is why?
SPEAKER 14 :
Because I think I’m the only one that can fix it. Right now, the state GOP is all but non-existent. What it really needs is an enema. But beyond having an enema, it needs structure and People put back in a place where it has the ability to help candidates win and do the other functions of the party that, frankly, it was supposed to be doing for the last 20 years and hasn’t. So I’ll just tell you a little bit about background. I was a negotiator in the Middle East and Africa for six and a half years. I speak Arabic. I did that, came home because my daughter went to high school and was having trouble. I quit doing that to make sure I could be a dad until both my kids got out of school. In that time, I started my company. My company had its peak at $163 million in revenue. I’ve twice had to walk in after leaving the company for three years and raise revenue by 300-400%. Fixing things is something that I’m really good at. I buy distressed businesses, fix them, and that sell them and so I look at the state office as two things one we have to earn donors trust and two we have to start handing the ball off to young people and if we don’t start handing the ball off to young people then the party doesn’t stand a chance of surviving itself anyway so I plan on coming in and I have a 90 day plan I’m going to first of all make sure it has an office make sure we eliminate the debt that it has I’ve already been having conversations with donors, and then we have to get to the business of winning in November, and I think we can win from the bottom of the ticket to the top of the ticket in all 64 counties, and that’s what I intend on pushing on until November.
SPEAKER 10 :
So when is this election, Joe Altman?
SPEAKER 14 :
May 30th. I think he set the date at May 30th. Eric Grossman is the vice chair and He’s kind of handling a bunch of stuff right now and trying to put things together so that we have at least stuff to walk into. And so I think he said it for May 30th. I think it’s in Buena Vista, but I don’t think all the ink’s dry on the details yet.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. So, Joel Oltman, there are those that say that you have very fiery speech. You just mentioned that the Republican Party needs an enema. There was a quote a number of years ago about hanging people, and that continues to be brought up. So, please address that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, I didn’t say we just want to hang people. I said people should be tried for treason. And when found guilty, they should hang. Look, it’s not been a victimless crime. Stealing elections and doing the things that have happened to the people of Colorado has not been a victimless crime. People have died. Women have been raped. Children have been abducted. Criminals have been let out on the streets. We went from the third best state in the country to the third most dangerous state in the country. I’m a system architect. Right. So I predicted the outcome of the Georgia election. And on Jan 5 of 2021, I should have been able to do that. Nobody should be able to predict the outcome of an election before it even happens. If the elections are real. So, you know, we faced four years of turmoil under a illegitimate regime. And the people in Colorado, Weiser, Polis and Griswold have proven themselves to be nothing but evil criminals. There’s a Christopher Gregory case out there right now, which is probably one of the biggest bribery cases, corruption cases in the history of the state. And yet no one will write about it except for a few journalists. And yet it’s $15 million in bribes and involves the governor, the attorney general, and the secretary of state. So, look, I’m not going to apologize for calling for the consequences of committing treason. And if you don’t like the consequences, well, then you’ve got to change the law. Because the law states that if you commit treason, you should be hung. Or that is a consequence to committing treason. And for those that say they didn’t commit treason, well, the betrayal of the people of Colorado has been on full display. And the fact that we can’t seem to have any transparency, and it’s a bipartisan covering up of… election records. It should tell you everything you need to know about where the American people and where the people of Colorado stand.
SPEAKER 10 :
OK, so Joe Altman, Colorado, I think, is at the tip of the spear of so many things happening in our country. And so these races are really important. If this election is May 30th, the time frame to get things turned around is very, very compressed. We’ve got about a minute left. Address that. What’s your final thought that you’d like to leave with our listeners?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, look, it’s not going to be easy. It’s going to be traveling all around the country to all 64 counties. We’re going to have to make sure, again, that we’re able to raise money. So the plan has to be one that donors actually see as viable. And the thing that we have to deal with is that we don’t have a structure. We’ve been dealing with archaic bylaws that have governed the organization for the last 30 years. And we’re getting beat out of the punch, and nobody seems to get along. Everyone uses these words, these you know, Rhino and things like that. If you disagree with someone, it all automatically becomes that, you know, the character of that individual comes to the question. So the first thing we have to do is create some ROEs and some SOPs as rules of engagement and standard operating procedure that allows for us to make sure we can govern the organization and allow, again, young people to come to the table. So I’m in the best, I’m in full position for understanding both organizational processes and how to fix it. Taking a company from a cocktail napkin to $160 million in revenue, I would say takes quite a bit. And frankly, I’m willing to work for free and put myself in a position where I just do right by the people. And so I’ll give two years and nine months. And then after that, I’ll hand it over to hopefully a young man or woman that can run the party with strength.
