SPEAKER 09 :
Hello, hello, hello. Happy Monday today, everyone. Oh my gosh. Okay, so I’m right out of the gate here. I’m just going to tell you that I had a morning. My morning consisted of, well, from 10 o’clock on anyway, has consisted of listening to the house Third and final reading on SB003. And I have a lot to say about all of it. And I’m just ticked off right now. So I’m going to rant. I’m not going to rant yet. I’m going to talk about Franktown Firearms first. And you guys just have to go check it out. That’s all there is to it. And get your guns, get your training, get your ammo, get everything ready. Right now. Like right now. Get on the computer, go to Franktownfirearms.com, click on the calendar, find a class, and sign up. April 1st is when the excise tax goes into effect. You’re going to be paying 6.5% more in addition to the other sales tax that your retailer of choice is going to charge you anyway. So knowing that Franktown Firearms only has a 4% or 4.1% tax, just county tax, you don’t have to pay the state sales tax. so get in get what you can get and get it now if you live anywhere with a higher sales tax rating like state and sales like denver or lone tree or aurora or springs or wherever buy it now get all your stuff before april 1st um if you’re going to wait then you’re going to have to come to franktown firearms to buy all of it or some other retailer in some other unincorporated county um So Franktown Firearms has changed a great deal. And if you haven’t seen it in the last several months, three or four months or something, then you haven’t seen it. Okay. You’ve got to go check it out. Ask for a tour. I’m sorry. I have a frog in my throat. All right. Ask for a tour of the shoot house. Somebody will probably give you one. You can call the store at 720-770-7777. You can ask about classes. You can ask about inventory. Or you can just stop by and visit. We are located conveniently just east of the intersection of Highway 83 and Highway 86 in Franktown. Now, July 1st, let’s talk about this new law that’s going into effect. And we have gotten a lot of questions about a lot of different things regarding the new requirements for obtaining your first concealed carry permit or getting a refresher course. In case you have a permit that’s about to expire or maybe expires, you know, sometime after July 1 or whatever. So I’m going to try to clear up those those questions for you. I’m going to read you some of the of the law, the new requirements that I pulled off of the Colorado General Assembly website. And you can you can call and ask if you have a particular question or a specific one you can call 303-477-5600. I’m sure that Luke would be more than happy to patch you through to me so you can ask your question. But this is a big deal and it’s because of SB003 it’s going to be an even bigger deal. Hoops of fire galore of what we’ve got going on here. So In case you’ve been living under a rock, I will tell you about the changes that are about to hit you with regard to acquiring a new concealed carry permit. So this is the text taken directly from the law that went into effect already. Governor Polis signed, and this is the one that’s going to take effect and really affect instructors and so people like myself personally. And, of course, you in the additional training and the additional money that you’re going to have to dole out. So it says, under existing law, an applicant for a permit to carry a concealed handgun must demonstrate competence with a handgun. Now, I kind of disagree with that because I just spoke to a lady over the weekend whose daughter took a class at Holiday Inn. And the last I checked, I mean, maybe they handled it. firearms, but they certainly did not shoot firearms at Holiday Inn. An applicant may demonstrate competence with a handgun in a number of ways, including by completing a training class offered by a certified instructor within 10 years before submitting an application for a permit. Okay, that’s the way it is now. So if you took a class three years ago, you can still apply for your permit if you do it before July 1st, okay? Pursuant to the Act, beginning July 1, 2025, an applicant may demonstrate competence with a handgun by completing a training class only if the class satisfies the minimum standards for a training class described below and the applicant completes the class within one year before submitting an online application for a permit. The act also allows a person to demonstrate competence with a handgun for the purpose of obtaining a permit by holding a current certification as a peace officer. So police officers don’t have to go through all the hoops, which is great. Nothing in here about military, but whatever. I guess we’ll see how that whole thing goes. An initial concealed handgun training class is a law enforcement training firearm safety course or training A firearm safety course taught by an instructor verified by a county sheriff or a verified instructor is what it says in parentheses. And that would be me. I’ve already got my verification. Sean, the owner of Franktown, has his verification. A couple other people are coming up and getting their verifications as well. So verified instructors can be found at Franktown Firearms, several of us, okay? The class has to be held in person and include instruction regarding safety. knowledge and safe handling of firearms and ammunition, safe storage of firearms and child safety, safe shooting fundamentals, federal and state laws pertaining to the lawful purchase, ownership, transportation, use, and possession of firearms. This is where it’s going to get complicated as a result of this new bill that they’re reading right now, and probably the vote will come down before I get off the air. best practices for safely interacting with law enforcement personnel who are responding to an emergency, and techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to manage violent confrontation, including conflict resolution and judgmental use of lethal force. A student must achieve a passing score on a written concealed handgun competency exam. and in a live fire exercise to complete an initial concealed handgun training class. An initial concealed handgun training class must be provided at least eight hours or must provide at least eight hours of instruction, including the live fire exercise and written exam. So right now my class that I don’t require a written exam right now, I don’t have a test. I have a test on the range. That’s your test. I am your qualifier. That’s kind of how I roll right now. So beginning July 1, 2025, the act requires an applicant to renew a permit to demonstrate competence with a handgun. A renewal applicant may demonstrate competence with a handgun through participation in organized shooting competitions, military service, or current certification as a peace officer. And that’s for renewals. By being a verified instructor for firearm safety courses, and so I would be able to go renew my permit without having to jump through a million hoops or taking a class. By showing honorable discharge from a branch of the United States Armed Forces or retirement from a Colorado law enforcement agency with pistol qualifications within 10 years prior to submitting a renewal form or completing an initial concealed handgun training class or a concealed handgun refresher class within six months prior to submitting a renewal form. A refresher class must be held in person, be taught by a verified instructor, include instruction on changes to laws related to firearms. Again, I’m going to bring up SB3 because it’s a big deal. And require a passing score on a live fire exercise and written exam. A refresher class must provide at least two hours of instruction, including the live fire exercise and written exam. The act requires a county sheriff to verify as training instructors any person whose principal place to conduct firearms training is in the sheriff’s county. So, in other words, if there’s instructors out there like me, how I started, I wasn’t always with Franktown Firearms. I worked for about six years independently, and I would teach out of my lab. Dining room, basically. And then we would just go find a range to do live fire and I was teaching the NRA basic pistol class. So no more of that. You have to have a home range in order to become a verified instructor. So that changes things a little bit for instructors out there. To be a verified instructor person must hold a valid concealed carry permit and be a certified be certified as a firearms instructor by a law enforcement agency, college, or university, nationally recognized organization that customarily offers firearms training or firearms training school. So the NRA, of course, fits that bill. Denial, suspension, or revocation of an instructor verification is subject to judicial review. It is a deceptive trade practice for a person to claim to be a verified instructor for a as a firearms instructor by a county sheriff, which, like I said, I am a verified instructor. I don’t know how people are going to lie. I don’t know what the verification process is going to look like when certificates start coming in from Joe Schmoe’s, you know, firearms training school. I don’t know what the process or the means are going to be for your county sheriff to verify that the instructor is verified. I don’t know how that’s going to look or how that’s going to work. That would be a question for your local sheriff. It says the act prohibits a person from being issued a permit if that person was convicted of certain misdemeanor offenses within five years before submitting a permit application. Incidentally, certain misdemeanor means that if that misdemeanor that you’re convicted of holds a possible sentence of over a year, even if you weren’t you know, you weren’t sentenced that way, that’s what that means. That’s a certain misdemeanor. So if you did something, I don’t know, DUI or something where your possible fine or your possible imprisonment could have been a year or more, then that qualifies as a certain misdemeanor. So now, all that said, you guys, there’s still time. There’s still time. We’re not even to April yet. We’ve got April, May, and June, three months to get your training. Get it now. I still provide a very comprehensive concealed carry class that will get you going, get you started, get you on the right path. Yes, I’m always going to suggest further training. Yes, I’m going to recommend that you practice at home and give you the information on the tools to do so, but you have to do it. Now, After July 1st, I’ll just tell you, and you heard all of what I just read in regard to the bill. Before July 1st, the class is $150. It’s four hours. You get an original certificate that you can take into your local sheriff’s office, and you can apply. OK, if you wait now, renewals are a different thing. And I apologize. I keep clearing my throat because I have this frog in my throat. As you know, I was sick a while ago and I have that lingering thing going on in my throat. The 150 bucks versus 250 bucks is what the class is going to be after July 1st. So right there, you’re out an additional hundred dollars. The class is going to be eight hours after July 1st instead of four hours now. And yes, sometimes it’s four and a half hours, depending on how many people I have to get through live fire. But that’s about what it is, because I’m very responsible when I take my students to the firing line. I make sure that there’s a set of eyeballs for every two people. So if I have a small class, I’ll do it by myself and I’ll just take two people up at a time. If I’ve got a large class, I’ll get four lanes, and then the range safety officer slash instructor, Dave, at the range, he will also help, and he will keep his eye on two people as well. So you’re never kind of on your own. You’ve always got somebody there to help you, which is super important, if you ask me. Now, if you have a permit that expires before July 22nd, if you have a concealed handgun permit right now, pull it out and look at it, okay? If it expires before July 22nd, you’re inside that 120-day window to start the renewal process now. So you’re not allowed to renew. Like if you have a permit that doesn’t expire until August or something, then you’re kind of screwed when it comes to this whole renewal thing and after July 1st because you have to be inside 120 days to restart the renewal process. Some counties are even less. Douglas County, you have to be inside 90 days. So in that regard, it would be basically the end of June or, you know, third week of June or whatever that you would have to get this process started. But you could still do it. So check your county’s rules for renewing, but keep in mind all the changes surrounding the new requirements when you think about how you’re going to go about this. If you’ve never had a permit before and you want your concealed carry permit, that you’re going to have to start that process before July 1st. Well, you don’t have to, but, you know, if you’re smart with your money and your time, you would want to. If you have questions about any of this, please give me a call, 477-5600, 303-477-5600. If you want to send me an email about any of this or if you want to schedule some private training with me, you can send that email to Karen.Murray at FranktownFirearms.com. I really should change that to Mama Glock. at franktownfirearms.com, don’t you think? But for right now, karen.murray at franktownfirearms.com. Now, speaking of training and self-defense and all this stuff, I’m going to start being, I’m going to be convoluted and I’m going to seem like I’m all over the board today because I kind of am, okay? The Colorado, this is what set me off. So yesterday, I was just browsing through, where was I browsing? Facebook, I think. And I read a story from actual national Fox news channel about a Colorado legislator that was forced to cover a sticker on his laptop that supported the second amendment because some of his colleagues find it offensive. Okay. I don’t get super triggered, like super triggered very easily when I, when I get really triggered and really angry, usually I cry. That’s kind of my MO. That’s how I roll. I may rant about things from time to time. You guys have heard my rants. However, I don’t get genuinely angry to the point where I want to scream. When I read this story, this triggered me, and now I want to scream. You know, I’m going to be honest with you guys. Okay. Well, I’ll just read. You’ll know what my thinking is here when I read this post that I put up on Facebook. And I’ll tell you why I’m so mad. So, as you know by now, the insane politicians in the Colorado State Senate, they introduced SB3, which is the bill that would ban semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and so-called gas-operated handguns that accept detachable magazines. Okay, so… I was listening to the live feed from the House floor today, and I was listening to a bunch of different people talking about, you know, why they support the bill, why they don’t support the bill, the whole nine yards. And when I read the bill at first, post all the addition of the amendments, they said they put in their gas-operated handguns. And I thought to myself, well, any – Any gun truly can be put into the category of gas-operated. Yes, maybe it has a technical term, but just gas-operated in lowercase letters is part of this text in this bill is very ambiguous, and I don’t like it. So State Representative Meg Froehlich – I don’t give a crap how to say her name – A Democratic sponsor of the bill told KKTV in the spring, she said, preventing gun violence is one of the – I’m going to read this in my liberal voice, okay? Preventing gun violence is one of the most effective ways that we can make our communities safer and save lives. Semi-automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines are uniquely lethal and dangerous. This bill is a common sense solution to ensure that people receive effective training and meet the requirements under state and federal firearms laws before purchasing the most lethal weapons on the market. From background checks and waiting periods to limits on high-capacity magazines, Colorado Democrats have enacted multiple laws to protect Coloradans from future gun violence. Really? Okay. Let’s move on. So this bill has made its way through a couple committees. made its way through the Colorado Senate, passed the final vote there, and now it’s on the House floor. It’s gone through a reading, one reading, two readings, and now it’s the third and final reading going on right now. So I don’t know. Before I get off the air, it may be passed already. I don’t know. But as you know, we don’t really have – we needed 11 Democrats to vote against this bill, and we just don’t have that. So go read SB3.org. But basically, they’re going to allow outlaws, semi-automatic rifles and shotguns that accept detachable magazines, like I said. And after the amendments were added, some of us will have the opportunity to buy back our rights by way of taking part in more training. This is in addition to even if you’ve taken a concealed carry class and you have that baseline training, you have to go through more training. So that’s not quite enough. for you to own and operate one of these firearms, according to the Colorado legislature, okay? So more training, which is more money, obviously, and acquiring your firearm owner identification card is going to have to come first, and then jumping through the hoops of fire and navigating through red tape and wait times, because wait times are going to begin soon. to grow and grow and grow. There is not even processes in place right now at local municipalities and sheriff’s office and all that stuff to handle all of this. So you’re going to be waiting a while, number one, to take that additional class because no instructors that I know of have even thought about this yet. And, yes, I know that if this gun bill does pass, it isn’t going to go into effect until August of 26th. So that’s a good thing, but still. So they give you a year to prepare yourself to spend more money, go through more training classes, and all that good stuff. So once you’ve done all that, then you can go buy your AR rifle or possibly a Glock 17. Like I said, the language in the bill is very ambiguous, so I don’t even know. If a Glock 17 or a Glock 19 or a Sig Sauer P365 or a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 or any of these guns are going to be considered as gas-operated. Because if you know guns and you know what ammunition does, what is produced by the primer igniting the powder? What’s produced? Gas, right? Right. Okay, so that’s why it’s ambiguous, and that’s why I don’t like it, and that’s why I just have a feeling that this bill is going to struggle, and I hope it does. So as I was typing my show notes, I’m listening to this House Chamber audio, and one thing that’s interesting to me, the bill started out as nine pages, and those nine pages were – egregious at best okay terrible now it’s 24 pages with 35 amendments and our powerless conservatives are in the house and they’ve tried to sort of filibuster it for lack of a better term they’ve they’ve kind of went off the reservation and they’re trying to take send it back to committee tried to send it back to second reading trying to do all kinds of stuff to slow this thing down or make some people think about it a little more. But as you know, we’re all so divided. And these, I’m just going to call them lunatics because I think that’s what they are. They’re power hungry, money hungry lunatics in the legislature. Don’t care what we think. All of it just failed outright. Votes were like, you know, 21 to 50 something. I mean, it was insane. Johnny, what do you got for me?
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m not the brightest bulb in the world of Lance, but how many school shooters or those teenagers that were shooting at each other in that park that killed three other teenagers went through any classes whatsoever, and they’re having these law-abiding people go through all these classes. who probably will never be shooting randomly in a crowd. There’s no stats that show that. And I’m kind of thinking, why are they, I mean, I know it’s good, you know, it’s good because you’re going to be making some money, but I’m thinking, like, can’t they come up with a way to get the real criminals rather than the law-abiding Second Amendment people?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah. Well, if you listen to the proponents of this bill, they’ll tell you that this is not going to impede our ability to obtain one of these firearms. In the least. Like everybody has an additional, you know, $150, $200 to throw around for a class and then another $50, $65, $70 to obtain a firearms owner’s identification card and all this stuff. Like everybody has all this money to throw around, which they’re going to waste anyway, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
There must be a way we can get… some Republicans in there to turn all this craziness around, because it just sounds like it’s an overreach. And last time I was listening to Snoop Dogg, and he said when he got into a gang, all they did was hand him a gun and said, you know what to do.
SPEAKER 09 :
And I’m thinking like… Yeah, exactly. And that’s the whole problem, Johnny, is that these people don’t under… I mean, well, I don’t know if they don’t understand, they don’t care that murder’s already illegal, right? And having possession of a firearm when you have a criminal record or convicted of felonies or if you’re not lawfully able to possess a firearm, that’s already a crime. So they’re not following laws on the books or just everything that they do, including up to and including the ban on the high capacity magazines. And I put that in heavy air quotes. up to and including that, has nothing to do – the criminals don’t care. They’re always going to have their guns, as is evidenced by Trend de Aragua and them running around in apartment complexes with ARs, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And as far as that person getting triggered by somebody displaying a sticker of the Second Amendment – Would they get offended of the sticker of the First Amendment, the Fourth Amendment?
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean, it sounds like there’s a lot of just crazy – The Second Amendment, where it says a well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. So the well-regulated militia part, that’s what they’re citing. Well-regulated means well-trained, and so what they’re saying is that You know, we can put this bill in. We’re not going to impede your ability to buy something, but we just want you to get trained. So that’s their argument. And, you know, if we’re being completely honest, I’m okay with that. I’m okay with training because I think training is important. However, if you’ve got a concealed carry permit and you’ve already gone through that class, why do you have to take additional classes? If you’ve already taken a hunter safety course, why do you have to take an additional safety classes? for this particular style of firearm. It’s just ridiculous.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s just more regulations on top of regulations, red tape.
SPEAKER 05 :
It is.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, this is very frustrating. I’m hearing your frustration, and I’m getting frustrated.
SPEAKER 09 :
Are you picking up what I’m putting down? I appreciate your call, Johnny. Thank you. All right. God bless. God bless. So, yeah, once you’ve done all that and you’ve jumped through all the hoops and you’ve got all this stuff going on, you can go buy your AR, okay? And then once you go to the retailer and you fill out your 4473 and your background check comes back clear, then you have to wait three days to pick up your firearm. So listening to the show notes or listening to the House chamber audio as I was doing my show, I was thinking about the guy that had to cover his sticker. His name’s Kevin DeGraff. And this is what I put on Facebook because I was so angry. I was so angry. I said on Facebook, these Colorado Democrats are completely out of their minds, off the rails, a couple of tacos shy of a combo plate. This is Colorado. It’s supposed to be the land of hunting, fishing, and all about the great outdoors. Instead, it’s about woke, soy boy, wussified beta men and the women who control them who wouldn’t know a backstrap from a front sight, calling all the shots, making all the rules. The big issue I have with all of this is that Tren de Aragua ran amok for months, and we were told it was all in our imaginations. We all saw the videos of them harassing people with all the guns that SB3 seeks to ban, yet Trende Aragua was protected. Meanwhile, these lunatics in the Colorado legislature are offended by anything pertaining to the Second Amendment, the amendment that’s supposed to protect our ability to defend ourselves from violent gangs that polis welcomed into our state. It’s all so sick and twisted that I could literally scream. I hate these people with every fiber of my being, and I don’t like to use the word hate. But in this regard, it’s – I don’t even have – I don’t even have the words. I don’t. Hate’s not a strong enough word. Loathe or despise, disrespect, reprehensible, I don’t even know. Ann, what do you got for me?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, first I want to appreciate you for covering Senate Bill 3, okay? And I’d ask people to get paper and pencil right now because it’s important for us to communicate to our, quote, fellow Democrats, meaning fellow neighbors or fellow neighbors or family members and friends. If you go to Colorado and you spell it out, Colorado, Dems, D-E-M-S dot org forward slash platform, you will see that it’s the same platform essentially that at the Communist Party USA website, which is cpusa.org. So they’re only doing what they’ve been trained to do by the training that they go through to be able to get to be on the Democrat ticket and then get elected. And we have to make sure that people understand that that our election system, the Dominion voting system, and all of them are controlled by algorithms. So if you go to LetMyTinaGo.us, you’ll get more information, including the links to TinaPeters.us, okay? We are in a civil war, and I appreciate your clarity and your strength and your courage, okay?
SPEAKER 09 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 08 :
This one hits close to home, as you know, right? Right, because without our Second Amendment – and there were 600,000 weapons that were left in Afghanistan in August of 2021 by Biden’s cartel. So those weapons that we haven’t even paid for are coming back into our country and can be used against us, plus the over 150,000 illegal weapons. Chinese Communist Party, military-age men who are all over our country. Just think, 50 divided by 150,000. How many there are in each state? And then some of those states don’t really count, like Delaware and some of the small, you know, Rhode Island, they’re so small. So I’m just saying, we’ve got, and oh, hey, on Friday, Steve Bannon is going to be in Colorado Springs. So folks want to go
SPEAKER 09 :
see him in person go to colorado gop i mean colo gop.org is the state website and you can get your tickets there okay awesome awesome thanks ann so much we’re going to take a short break and thank you when we come back i’m going to talk a little bit more about this whole unfair bill that’s being rammed through the legislature as we speak we’ll be right back
SPEAKER 06 :

SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, it is fun. It is fun. We’re going to have to fight a little bit for this, though, as I said. So to Anne’s point, and she was talking before about the illegals and the militant Chinese military age men and stuff coming into our country, and this illegal alien conversation has many facets, all of which are terrible for us, of course. From the expense that we’ve incurred for housing them, which obviously we pay for that, you know that, the federal government doesn’t make money. They use our money. They keep our money. So to the crime that many of them commit, to the fact that they were allowed into our country unvetted, unvaccinated, while many people were forced to take the jab or lose their job, to educating kids that don’t speak a word of English and the negative impact that has on our kids, our English-speaking kids, and Colorado being a sanctuary for all of it, including the Tren de Aragua gang that I was mentioning before. So not only are Colorado leftist politicians passing a bill that will only affect law-abiding gun owners, it’s not going to affect criminals, they’re going to get their guns on the black market like they always have, but they’re offended by a sticker. And that’s what – like I said, that’s what triggered this whole entire thought process and caused an explosion of negative BS in my head because they’re offended by a sticker on a computer. I don’t even know how to express my frustration with these people right now. They want to – they’re legislating from emotions, from past tragedies. They’re talking about Columbine. They’re talking about STEM. They’re talking about – you know, Parkland and Sandy Hook and all that stuff, and they’re bringing their kids into it. And one legislator said that her kid was being threatened if mom passed this bill. And what, I mean, oh, my gosh. But, you know, you take all that, and then you think, but it’s okay in the minds of these people that are making these laws to for a biological boy to get undressed and, you know, flap around in front of a teenage girl in a school locker room, but they’re offended by a sticker on a man’s computer. Those do not compute with me. I’m sorry. You can go to your corner pot dispensary and pick up some Cheech and Chong space cruise chews that’ll have you seeing fairies and unicorns and having conversations with Elvis freaking Presley and You can sue someone if they misgender you. You can come into this state illegally and squat in someone else’s home and be protected. You can vandalize Teslas and firebombs charging stations, and you can take over entire apartment complexes with long guns and pistols that SB3, of course, will ban for us. You can threaten everyone around you with violence, and polis is going to protect you, but don’t you dare come in to work on the House floor with a Second Amendment sticker on your computer. How dare you support the Constitution of the United States? Where the hell am I living? I sometimes feel like it’s the Twilight Zone. Everything is so, as my parents used to say, bass-ackwards-ish. They don’t want us using common firearms that people across the country use for protecting their families and their property, but they’re allowing illegals to take over, and liberals just gush over this stuff. Listening to some of the reasons, like I was talking about before, the reasons why these lawmakers are supporting this bill. They don’t have a clue. These are the urban people that live in their urban bubble. And of course, they’re the ones that are worried. I would be worried about crime if I lived in Denver. I would be worried. I know a guy who lives in Denver proper and in not a great area of Denver proper, might I add. And his like sixth grade daughter walks back and forth from school by herself. I would never allow that. And they don’t care that Colorado was one of the safest places to live. And after all the gun laws went into effect, the new ones, including the high capacity magazine ban that went into effect and all these illegals took over the state, we’re now one of the most dangerous places in the country. And of course, we’re one of the most expensive to live. Why do they not see this? How can they sit up there and talk about just, you know, if it saves one child or wanting people to feel safe walking down the streets, well, then maybe kick out the violent gangs you have roaming around with illegal guns. They sit up there and they talk about weapons of war. I heard that term probably five times while I was listening. And they talk about teachers and students being worried about escape plans instead of lesson plans because they’re fearful that someone with a weapon of war is going to come in and shoot up their school. Instead of having an armed security guard or other administrators or teachers who are armed and ready to protect, they just want to take away the rights of law-abiding citizens, and they can say all they want about that’s not the reason for the bill. They should know by now that this stuff does not work. That doesn’t work. And they’re going to make it harder and harder for us and more expensive for us to obtain one of the guns. And when they sit there and they say, you know, we’re not right. This is not going to impact you. If you already own these firearms, this doesn’t impact you. Well, what if I want a new one? Okay. Okay. What if I want to go down and there’s a cool one that I want to buy? It’s got some cool etching on it or it’s got Trump on it or something. What if I want to go buy a new one? Then I have to embark on all that new red tape and rigmarole that we have to go through to get our first one. Murder is already illegal. Maybe they should start addressing the other problems like mental illness and homelessness and you know, clean up the needles. That’s right. Hickenlooper put the needle depositories all around. That was freaking important, right? But they’re all silent when it comes to chucking a Molotov cocktail into a Tesla dealership. They’re cool with that. But these liberal legislators who are speaking are saying that their kids are being threatened. Like I said, this one lady said that she had an orange flyer that her daughter came home with that had a picture of her mom on it and said, you know, basically threatened her mom, I know where you live, threatening her if her mom voted no or voted yes on this bill. And I call BS. They’re going to lie. They’re going to lie like rugs because that’s what they do. It’s just infuriating. And another lie, there was a rally, I guess, held on Friday where AOC and Bernie Sanders spoke. You guys may have heard about it. The crowd they said was about 34,000 people. 34,000 people is what they said. Well, it turns out that that number may have been a little off. Okay. Deliberately so, of course. So from Tyler Burden on Zero Hedge, he says the Democrat Party launched a full-scale propaganda blitz and a desperate attempt to sway public opinion as its favorability ratings plunged to record lows. True to form, the party of leftist radicals prefers to bend reality, relying on rent-a-protester, or in this case, inorganic crowds to create a false perception of popularity. And that’s exactly what unfolded in Denver on Friday. Drone footage shows a large crowd as U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders… from Vermont, spoke at Denver Civic Center. The outspoken socialist wrote, 34,000 people out in Denver, largest political rally since 2008, and they’re comparing that to Obama speaking at the DNC in 2008. However, leftist media failed to fact-check this, and they found that a lot of Antifa, BLM, a lot of pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas media Democrats known for, you know, being at these rallies because, of course, they use that geofencing thing with the with the cell phones. And a lot of them have have have been to more than one of these rallies. 31 percent had attended over 20, 20 of these rallies. So they get bussed around. So it’s again, it’s the liberals desperate attempt to try to make themselves relevant and rational, which we all know they’re not. So, Jim, what do you got for me?
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m fired up today, buddy. You know, hey, have you ever read very many books on communism, like on Joseph Stalin and what was taking place over there and stuff like that? Have you ever read very many books on those, Karen?
SPEAKER 09 :
No.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Well, I’m going to tell you something. I know you’re talking about it. You’re having a hard time believing that these people, you know, I don’t know, believe whatever they… Let me tell you something, Karen. These people, just like the Nazis, the communists, they’re testing the same cloth. These people truly, they truly, they truly believe in what they talk about. They really do.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, they do. And that just tells me that they are, you know, I use the term brainwashed, but in their case, it’s like brain programmed. Like they’re the ones that are doing the programming, they’re attempting to program everyone else into believing like they believe.
SPEAKER 12 :
And to your point, it’s all… Well, you know, you tell a lie enough long enough, Karen, you start to believe your own lies. Yeah, that’s very true. I’ve read these books on Joseph Stalin, and Joseph Stalin was literally killing millions of his own people through starvation. And he even had other people within the Politburo in Russia and in Ukraine and these other countries saying, hey, you are starving people to death by the millions. And Joseph Stalin and those guys… they absolutely refused to believe that their policies were killing. They blamed everything else, but their policies.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah. Yeah. And you know, the Brown shirts and, and all that we, you know, and I, I haven’t read any, but I’m not a big reader. I’d like to listen to things and, you know, watch documentaries and that kind of stuff. That’s kind of how I get educated on stuff. But yeah, Yeah, you’re absolutely correct. But the bottom line is, and the basis of all this is a different worldview. You know, we’re all about conservatism, capitalism, freedom, liberty, you know, all those kinds of things. And these people are not. They want power over us.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, they absolutely do. But, you know, the thing is, I don’t really differentiate. And I know you’re not going to agree with this. But really, I don’t find most – I don’t care what kind of government you have. Corporations are the same way, especially right now. These people running these corporations, they’ve become these multinationals, and they want control over our lives.
SPEAKER 09 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely, they do. You know, I’ve watched some pretty good things on – I think it’s A&E Channel, where they talk about where Hershey’s did it, Kellogg’s did it. And I know these people that own these coal mines and stuff, you know, they had, because Colorado’s had them too. Where these wealthy people, these extremely wealthy people that own these big industries, you know, they build these communities, these little cities, these little towns for their workers, for them all to live. And they got this idea of how a society should live within their communities. And when people don’t conform to their way of thinking when they’re living in these communities… These people go nuts on their own workers. It’s like, no, you people have to live this way. Well, I’m sorry, but human beings cannot be controlled. You know, the thing is, Karen, to me, these are nothing but feel-good laws. I mean, there’s already tons of gun laws already. It’s almost like they’re redoing gun laws. And I’m going to tell you quite truthfully, I don’t really, I don’t give a flying rat’s tooth because, you know, the only people that are going to obey these laws, you’re still going to have honest people. I pay most all your gun laws. But for the most part, there’s some of these laws that are so stupid. I’m sorry. I’m not obeying them. I don’t really care what the government says. I’m going to do what I’m going to do. And the government can, you know, they can go fly a kite as far as I’m concerned.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s a nice way of putting it.
SPEAKER 12 :
I mean, I can go out of state just like they do back on the East Coast. People in New York, the criminals and stuff and the people that want guns, they go down to Florida, they go get their guns, and they bring them back up to New York.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yep, absolutely. We always have said if they outlaw guns, only the outlaws will have guns, and that’s the way it is. That’s the way it is, but they don’t want to even acknowledge that whole process. I’m going to go forward here, and I’m going to speak a little bit to what you said about the towns. Ironically, you brought that up, and I’m going to play that here in just a second. Thanks for the call. I appreciate it. So I don’t know if I have time to get through all this, but I want to talk about briefly, I want to talk about just something that’s kind of disturbing to me because it kind of hits close to home to me again because my daughter is a nurse at a local hospital, and the thought of something like this happening is incredibly scary. This audio is about four minutes, so I don’t know if I want to play this or not. I’m not going to have Luke play it. Essentially what this is is a woman talking about possible terror attacks on hospitals. And when she’s talking like secondary cities, not like big ones like Philly or New York or L.A. or whatever, talking about cities like Wichita, Colorado Springs, Lincoln, Nebraska, hospitals that are big enough to cause an impact but small enough that they they’re not going to have, you know, over the top security and things like that. So it’s just, um, it’s one of those things where it just bothers me a lot. And she, she kind of goes into some detail, but you can look that up. Um, you probably find it on Tik TOK or whatever, but I’m not going to play the audio right now. I’m going to take this call. Dan, what do you got?
SPEAKER 11 :
Hi, it’s, uh, it’s Ben actually. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, I just had a couple of comments. Yeah. Hello. Um, My comment was, it’s a little not directly on your topic, but I remember when I was in college, we had this book that I read called Up the Organization by Robert Townsend, who ran Avis Rent-A-Car. And when he took over Avis, they were losing a little money or whatever. They weren’t doing that well. And his idea was to fire Avis. the bottom 10% of non-productive people and promote the top 10% and cut the cost down and increase the efficiency. And within a reasonable amount of time, Avis was making money. And I’m thinking Trump, you know, it’s not rocket science to do like a turnover and and trim the fat. And of course, the liberal progressive Democrats and Congress are complicit in trying to maintain the status quo. You know, they talk about, oh, so-and-so can’t afford medical care. And I’m thinking, well, part of the reason for that is you’ve let medical care be paid for largely by the government. About half of our… Medicine is paid for. So I’m all on with the Trump agenda, way more on than off. But I just want to throw that in for your listeners. If they didn’t know that’s what he’s doing, that’s what he’s doing.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, it’s all about efficiency. And we know that I remember the joke a long time ago, and I’ve talked about this before, where It took like – somebody did the calculation and the process that it takes to get a light bulb changed in the United States Capitol or something. And even back then, this was like in the 80s, it was about $3,000 or something in total to have a light bulb changed because government is so bloated and so inefficient.
SPEAKER 11 :
I used to work for a lighting company, and it didn’t – we made light fixtures. It didn’t take no $3,000. Hell, that was the overhead probably – for like a day or two, and we cranked out a truckload of fixtures. So yeah, that inefficiency. And by the way, along those lines, metaphorically, how many people does it take to change a light bulb? None. It has to want to change itself. And really, in a way, people being sold this liberal, stupid, progressive agenda You know, these are core values that have been sunk into them over time. And unless and until they decide they want to kind of, like, take a little bit more initiative, get government smaller, and get behind not necessarily Trump, but the ideas that he’s got, we’re going to continue to languish.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, and, you know, and it just – Yeah, it created more divide than ever just because of the bombastic way that he’s going about it, which, you know, all of us think it’s great. But that divide is deepening and widening. And, you know, I don’t think there’s any coming back from it unless these and I just I’m going to go ahead and say it unless this mentality is crushed. Their mentality has to be crushed because it’s wrong. I’m sorry. Men in women’s sports is wrong. Thinking that men can have babies is wrong. Men changing in front of little girls is wrong. It’s all wrong. It’s just wrong. Taking guns away and destroying the Constitution and the Bill of Rights is wrong. And they’re wrong, we’re right, and they have to be crushed.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, and when you’ve kind of fomented that sort of thinking – for probably since the 60s, and some might argue even before then, I don’t know the exact dates and times, but these trends, when they grow, at a certain point, the negative, dumb ideas that are probably, I would say, engineered by think tanks, Department of Education, teachers, teachers’ unions, you know, when you pump people full of enough crap pretty soon they start believing it. And then they start living it. And that’s sort of what we’ve got now. And I know a lot of people, they say, well, I’m not into politics. And I’m thinking, yeah, you are. You just don’t know it. It’s already in your head.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, exactly. And I always say that the people say that I’m not into politics. And I say, well, politics is into you. Ben, I really appreciate the call. I got one more call to take before I sign off today. I appreciate it. Have a great day.
SPEAKER 13 :
Go get them.
SPEAKER 09 :
Thanks. Eric, what do you got for me?
SPEAKER 13 :
Hey, Mama Gloss.
SPEAKER 09 :
Hey there.
SPEAKER 13 :
Promise is made, promise is kept. That’s only by President Trump, okay? Because Anna Paulina Luna from Florida, the congresswoman, makes all these idle threats to Mayor Johnston. And don’t deliver. Karen, us true blue Republicans, black, white, or brown, we’re taking notice. We hear everything you say. But when you don’t deliver like President Trump does, we tend to get very, very upset.
SPEAKER 09 :
It’s our turn to kick butt.
SPEAKER 13 :
All right.
SPEAKER 09 :
Much love. Talk to you soon. Much love to you. Bye now. All right. Thanks. Bye. So and to Eric’s point in Promises Made, Promises Kept, have you guys heard about Liberation Day? Again, I don’t have time to play the audio, but President Trump continues to use this term, Liberation Day, to describe April 2nd. And I saw a video of him saying that he wanted to make April 1st, but because April 1st is April Fool’s Day, then that’s not good. But he is he’s talking about Liberation Day. And, you know, to me, We’re going to wait and see what happens on April 2nd. Who knows? Whatever. All the stuff, what would be a good liberation day for me would be for all the kids who’ve been trafficked to be freed, the cabal to be arrested, and every globalist sent to Gitmo. That’s my liberation day, but we’ll see what happens. That’s going to do it for me today. Sorry I ranted so much, but it seems like you guys like my rants. Check out Franktown Firearms.
