Fear spreads fast—especially online. In this episode of Ready Radio, John Rush and Bill Anderson take a sober look at the rising chatter about sleeper cells, geopolitical tension, and the flood of alarmist content circulating across social media.
Instead of feeding the panic, John and Bill focus on something more practical: how to stay prepared without becoming paranoid. They break down the difference between healthy vigilance and fear-driven reactions, explaining why preparedness should be a steady lifestyle—not a knee-jerk response to headlines.
The conversation also dives into the psychology behind online fear campaigns, why sensational content spreads so quickly, and how
SPEAKER 09 :
This is Ready Radio, preparing you to be ready for anything, now.
SPEAKER 10 :
Here’s your survival guide for Ready Radio, John Rush. And it is Ready Radio, KLZ 560. Thanks for joining us. We appreciate it very much. Snowy day today. Live program on March the 6th. And yes, we’ve been waiting for snow all winter, and we finally have some today, although I think it’ll be short-lived and looks like a halfway decent weekend. Bill Anderson with me today. Bill, how are you?
SPEAKER 07 :
I’m doing well, John. Thanks for asking. Yeah, winter, maybe we got a little taste of winter here, but, you know, thank goodness because the trees and stuff sure need it.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s for sure. Yeah, no, we do. So, yeah, no complaints, a little chilly out, but not that hard to get around, slushy mainly. So those of you that maybe haven’t been out and about yet, maybe you’re just getting to that point where you are or you’re not going out, whatever the case, it’s not that bad. And, you know, we talk about the preparedness end of things all the time on this program. We’ll get into that. Several things today, including sleeper cells and some things like that. But on the preparedness side of driving, I will say this. Those of you that maybe never put on winter tires, you’re at a point where, frankly, I don’t think you need to. If you look even at the weather we’re having today, it’s mostly slush and had a lot of really wet weather, if you would, underneath that snow. Not cold enough to really be icy out right now. Mainly what you’re going to struggle with is snow. is the slush. I didn’t look, Bill, I should really quick to see what our low is going to be, but frankly, not going to be that cold. I don’t believe to where it’s that big of a deal. So I hate to say this, but if you haven’t put your snow tires on, I honestly think you’re in pretty decent shape because I don’t think it’s going to be that big of a deal. And the lows aren’t going to be that cold tonight. About 30 is about as all the, well, hang on. At 3 a.m. it’ll be 25, 23 degrees early, early morning. Yeah, I got 16 in my neck of the woods, but yeah. Yeah. And again, for some for those of you, if you’re up early in the morning, it could be a little bit dicey first thing in the morning, although the sun’s going to be up early. And as soon as the sun comes up, I think we’re going to be almost to the 50s tomorrow. So this will not stay around very long. But again, be prepared, as we always say, you know, make sure you’ve got, you know, your snow brush or anything else that you need if you’re out and about today. Again, this is by no means, even though it might look a little bit. a blizzardy out, it’s not that bad. The driving is not that bad either. So really, uh, don’t want to, don’t want to focus too much on that because frankly, Bill, I’m not sure how many more of these we’re going to have this year.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. You’re just took my snowplow off the truck too, but oh, well, it’ll be fine.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah. Again, it’s going to be 70 by Monday, I believe. So he’s not, not that big of a deal at this point in time.
SPEAKER 07 :
So it’d be nice.
SPEAKER 10 :
All right. A lot of conversation. And I had several people ask me, are we going to talk about this on today’s program? I had several people on the text line asking me that, and I said, yes, we will definitely cover this particular topic today for sure. Bill and I will cover this, absolutely. And that is lots of talk out there. And I always say be careful of the talk because there are a lot of folk out there that are on either – you know social media they’ve got some sort of a platform they could even be radio hosts and so on and what i will say is i’m not buying into a lot of the rhetoric right now about you know sleeper cells i’m not changing the way that i do my life any way shape or form i keep my head on a swivel at all times anyways So at the end of the day, Bill, I’m, I’m personally not concerned about it, but yes, I do think it’s something we should talk about and mainly talk about it because I think there’s a lot of hype going on around it right now that I know you and I have opinions on this and our opinions are different from a lot of the hype and I’m just not buying into the hype right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. I, you know, it’s, it’s the way of the world and the way of the media right now and social media and things like that, that they, they really want to work on fear tactics and I guess there’s, Yeah, you get more clicks and you get more people to tune in. I don’t know why. we are so drawn to that, John. You know, somebody says, so is the Antichrist, or this red moon is the end of the times, and we’re just so drawn to it. Instead of being drawn, and we just talked about this in our church podcast with Dennis, you know Dennis, and another sister pastor of mine, Dave, it’s like, you know, whenever we start to focus on the negative, we overemphasize the negative, and we can become myoptic, on that negative, if you will. And instead of doing that, why don’t you focus on the things you should be doing? And I think that’s really an important lesson here that if we just stick to what we should be doing, no matter what happens, because you can’t control that at the end of the day, John. You can’t control the weather. You can’t control political, economical. You really can’t. I mean, we’re not really pulling the strings here. And we have to react to whatever happens. But if we just focus on things that we can control, that really, I think, is what we should be doing. And, yeah, these are important conversations. And, again, people will hear me say this, and they go, oh, so you just want us to stick our head in the sand and just be a limbic and going on with it? And I’m saying no, but James talks – Yeah. James talks about don’t be carried away with every wind of doctrine. Right. Right. That’s, you know, on the spiritual side, the same thing that every way of teaching, you know, I hear this and all of a sudden now I’m this way and then I hear something else. And people just bounce from from story to story, from hook to hook. And really, that’s all it is. Right. It’s a hook. And especially, unfortunately, in the. In the church community, man, people get so caught up in these types of things instead of just being, hey, solid in just the basic stuff. And, you know, whatever comes, comes, you know. So I kind of struggle with that a little bit, John.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and the reason I want to talk about it today is, again, I’ve had several people reach out. And, guys, I love all of you. I want to make sure they say that up front. And I’m not trying to dismiss anybody or any of you that may have a fear along the lines of sleeper cells and so on. And to make sure that we’re clear on this, there might be some people listening wondering, Bill, what am I even talking about? So there’s a lot of talk around the fact that, of course, we’ve got – We’ve got, you know, a battle of war, if you would, going on with Iran right now. And the fear is because Iran has been the number one funder of terrorist groups throughout the world here in the U.S. as well. And the fact that we had open borders for so long under the last administration and even to a degree under Obama, reality is there’s been a lot of folks that have slipped in. And the question is, how many people slipped in that are associated with these types of groups that really want to do harm to America? They always shout, death to America, on a routine basis. And now that this battle is going on, will there be some of these, quote-unquote, sleeper cells arise and then do damage inside of the United States? And it could be at large gatherings, sporting events, churches, things like that. And personally speaking… Is that risk there? Yeah. In fact, Bill, was that risk there a week ago prior to what happened on Sunday? Yes. I mean, the reality, Bill, that risk is there, I think, at all times. Is it more heightened now than it’s been? I think you could debate that probably, Bill, on both sides of the aisle. It might have even been stronger prior to Sunday because they were more organized. Now what’s happened is there’s enough stuff going on in Iran and the leadership there has been taken out. And I think there’s a vacuum at this point in time, Bill. And my point there is, is I’m not sure if there’s anybody right now really giving any direct order. So if you do, in fact, see some rogue folk like we did yesterday. see this last weekend, and or you see some sleeper cells, quote unquote, rise up. I’m not sure they’re being directed by anybody at this point in time, Bill. In fact, I would tell you that they’re probably not being directed by anybody, given the vacuum that we in Israel created last Sunday.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, probably not. If you’ve got anything that’s going to happen, it’s going to be that rogue person, like you said, that lone person that thinks he’s got to take it into his own hands and continue the cause, if you will. But that’s the whole point of the sleeper cell. They’re there at all times awaiting the opportunity. So it’s always been there, like you said. I kind of have a little bit different thought about that, you know, if you do have a sleeper cell, would you activate it now? Even if, you know, there was some kind of behind the scene organization or whatever, even if there was, would you activate that now? And now, John, I’m not a political leader by any means. Right. And I’m not pretending to be one. But in my mind, I would think. you know, why would you do that? First of all, you have a divided America and you have people, as we speak, protesting the very thing that we’re doing, right? You see the protests, you see the online conversations, you see people saying we shouldn’t be doing what we’re doing. You know, you turn on MSN and you get all the why we shouldn’t be bombing Iraq and you turn on Fox and they tell you all the reasons why we should, and then CNN kind of bounces between the two, if you will. But, you know, why, if I’m an outside leader, why would I say, hey, they’re already divided and warring among themselves. Let’s not go and give them a reason for patriotism. Let’s not go and give them another, if you will, 9-11, because what happens then is Then they’re going to all come together, and now it’s going to get worse. So if I were in their shoes, I would say, hey, just add to the division. Let’s not do something to unite them. Let’s continue to add to the division. And this, by the way, I think the sleeper cells, if you will, are already very much at work. very much at work they’re already in play by you know doing things online causing the online division adding the comments doing the social media stuff participating in the protests, helping to agitate those who are participating in it. You know, they’re stirring the pot, if you will. And I think, you know, they’re already at work doing that. And I think they have more fight in, you know, more fight in them, if you will, by doing that than they would by going and, let’s say, adding a…
SPEAKER 10 :
an attack where now those divided would come together to fight the common enemy you know I’m saying that’s that’s my opinion of it you know Bill and I by the way everything you just said I don’t know that I can I really can’t disagree with any of that and I think anybody listening I think that’s really solid advice and the fact that we as a nation even with the war going on it Probably even did more division, Bill, in the last week than what it was already done prior to that. And not going to go down that path on this particular program. I’ve done that during the day on The Daily Show already. So at the end of the day, I can’t disagree with you on that one. And now, for all of you listening. That doesn’t mean that Bill and I are saying, Bill said it a moment ago, don’t just go out and bury your head in the sand. Folks, we would never say that. In fact, given the world that we live in right now, you have to be diligent on all fronts at all times to make sure that you are dialed in no matter what. We’ll go through some of those things even. We’ll take a break in a few minutes and we’ll go through a lot of those things in today’s program. But I think my point and Bill’s point is, Don’t believe all of these alarmists that are all over the Internet, and there’s some of them even local where I’ve seen them on social media and other places talking about how you need to really be prepared. These sleeper cells have now been awakened. It’s just a matter of it’s not if, it’s when, and you’re going to see those folks doing the things that they’ve been planning to do. And I’m just not sold on that, Bill. I’m more along the lines of you. It’s like, okay, if you’re going to have all the resources and energy and then go ahead and activate all of that, I wouldn’t do it right now. There’s better times to do it, and now’s not that time.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, it’s not a smart move, actually, because all you’re going to do is bring the divided country together a little bit. And again, people need to awake and act sober-mindedly. See, what they’re trying to do is they’re trying to cause knee-jerk reactions. And there’s a time to have that knee-jerk reaction, but… in the context of what we talk about in the radio show here, is we are not paranoid, John. They’re trying to put paranoia into the public. We’re not paranoid. Why aren’t we paranoid? Because we’re prepared. People go, oh, you must be paranoid because you’re prepared. No, the opposite is actually true. I’m not paranoid because I’m ready for whatever. And so they’re actually speaking the opposite of what we’re doing. All we’re doing is asking people to be of sound mind and to think soberly, you know, and just stay the course, which if you go through history, that’s usually the winning ticket, you know, just stay the course, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And again, folks, what we’re saying is, yes, we need to be diligent. Again, we’ll talk through some of that here in just a few minutes and give you guys some ideas on different things and what to be looking for, listening for, and so on. But I think, Bill, to start this particular program off, my main advice to folks is, and yours is the same, don’t get carried away with all of the stuff you see out on the Internet. There is a ton of people, and I’ve watched them. You guys have sent me some video, which I appreciate. I want to know what’s going on, and I want to know what some of these other folks are saying. And it’s not that I’m just completely, you know, naysaying all of these individuals, but in a way I am because I don’t think they’re really looking at things through the correct set of lenses like, you know, Bill, you and I are talking about right now. I don’t think they’re factoring everything in. And again, folks, let me tell you what. the old don’t let a crisis go to waste and that’s typically what the left does um you know what there’s a lot of folks on the right that do the exact same thing so don’t kid yourself when they know that they’ve got an opportunity to gain views clicks and all of that and i said this is many many many times on all of my programs every one of these individuals whether they be on tick tock instagram youtube you name it wherever they’re at on any kind of a media platform The more people that they get looking, sharing, forwarding, you know, that’s a share, of course, liking, and then, of course, downloading, all of that generates them revenue, and that’s how they all make money. So don’t kid yourself. They love these types of opportunities because the more, you know, footage, quote, unquote, they can put out there, the more clips they can put out there, Bill, the more chance they have of people watching it, and the more people that watch it, the more money they make. It’s that simple.
SPEAKER 07 :
Absolutely. And I’ll throw one more thing in there. Don’t forget the AI generated stuff. You really got to be careful as to what you’re listening to, what you’re reading, what you’re even watching video wise as to is this really real or not?
SPEAKER 10 :
Good point. Good point. Yeah, and folks, really, on that one, let me give you a little tip on that. It’s really, really, really hard to tell anymore as good as AI has gotten. And in fact, what I would tell you all is if it looks too perfect, it’s most likely AI. In other words, the conversation, the video, how it’s put together, how the people look, the footages and so on. And honestly, Bill, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. Yeah. You can ask a musician and they can tell you whether it was a true live, uh, live playing or not. Right. Or if they’re lip syncing, if you will, because they’ll like in live music, I don’t care who you are. There will be mistakes. You can’t be that perfect. That’s right. Most of us don’t tell, but the trained ear could tell, you know, but, uh, it’s like, yeah, that was a little out of tune. That was that, but you know, it’s, and, and, John, don’t forget, AI is getting better by the day. It learns off of itself by the day.
SPEAKER 10 :
By the second it’s getting better. That’s exactly right. So, yeah, everybody, don’t forget that. And, again, real quick before we go to break, Bill’s website, Prep2Protect. That’s the number two, Prep2ProtectCO.com. We’ll talk about some classes and things that Bill have coming up as well. That ties into what we’re going to talk about today as well. And then, of course, Ready-Radio.com is our website. We’ll be right back, folks, so don’t go anywhere. Ready Radio, KLZ 560.

SPEAKER 10 :
And we are back, Ready Radio, KLZ 560, Bill Anderson with me. Bill, before we get going on what we should be looking out for and paying attention to and so on, what classes and things do you have coming up that folks can get involved in?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, since we’re, well, sorry to say this, but since we’re out of the snow on a day like today, but yeah, we’re kicking back up our concealed carry classes, which you need to take to get your permit, and then also the renewal classes. So if you are up for renewal, don’t forget that. you have to take the refresher class prior to your expiration. If you let your concealed carry expire, then you will be responsible to take the full eight-hour class. So you want to make sure to get that done there, and you have to do it by a state-certified instructor. It does not have to be in your county. The way it works is the instructors are certified in the county they train in. So like for us, we train in Elbert County. So I am certified through the Elbert County Sheriff. And I put my number. And let’s say you’re in Douglas County. The Douglas County Sheriff will look up my number and verify that I’m an instructor and then go ahead and issue you your permit after you get the certificate, which states my number. So that’s how that works. And as I talked about last week when you were out, I said, you know, hey, the number one skill I think you need to have is medical. Stop the bleeding. Trauma, first aid, those kind of classes. And so we’ll be kicking those guys off as well. So the DLS classes, the basic life support classes, and also the stop to bleed, which I think are a must for everybody. Okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
Good to know. And, again, website to find that at Prep2, the number two, Prep2ProtectCO.com. You can find everything there. Bill, thanks for doing that. Okay, let’s talk about sleeper cells. When we started off, we’re really trying to get some of the alarmist views that are out there, sort of. deescalate those I guess is what we did during that first segment and again I stand by the things that I said during that first segment again I’m not changing anything I do on a daily basis but in a daily basis I pay pretty close attention to what’s going on around me I sit you know with my back not at the door but I want to face the door things along those lines there’s all sorts of things that we talk about on this program on a routine basis now Given all of that, Bill, and this is something where I do think we need to be paying a little bit more attention to, you know, what’s going on right now, given the heightened alert that the country’s on with, you know, we’re at war at the moment. And, you know, Russia, China, both, they’re not happy with what’s going on either. We’re putting a big dent into both of those countries, economically speaking, and other things as well. But at the end of the day, I think, you know, yes, we have to be vigilant with what’s going on. How do we do that, Bill? What do we watch for?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I think you just keep your eyes up. You definitely want to, you know, stay, you know, stay observant is the number one thing, right? I think I tell people all the time that your number one self-defense tool is the situational awareness. You know, if you can see something that looks… looks suspicious you know it doesn’t seem right you know get out of there go somewhere else you know it doesn’t matter your safety is the most important thing even if you you know appear to be the awkward one or whatever you know uh you know just maybe consider you know getting into those public venues you know if if it was if something were going to happen you know would it be here and If you are going to go to those public venues, go, okay, well, I’m here. What would that look like? And in your mind, run that scenario and then give yourself the way of escape, right? I’m going to get out of here. I’m going to go this way. I’m going to go that way. Plan routes. If you’re driving somewhere, make sure that you have, you know, an alternative way out. By the way, when you are looking at your driving, you know, paths, things like that, note on there, hey, where’s the closest urgent care? Where’s the closest emergency? You know, where’s the closest police station? And, you know, that might be a little bit over the top, but these are things you should be doing. And the more you do them, the less… I guess the less burdensome it becomes, right? It may be a little awkward at first, but you can pick it up pretty quickly after, after doing it a few times. And just, even if it’s just in the back of your mind, Hey, we’re going into, let’s say Parker, I’m going into Parker and we’re going to go, you know, this week was our 32nd wedding anniversary, uh, on Thursday there. So we were going to go out to dinner for our anniversary and, Do I know where the hospital is? Do I know where the urgent care is? Yeah, in the back of my mind, it didn’t take me any effort, maybe a little 30-second mental exercise of going, okay, I know where it’s at. Obviously, in places you’re familiar with, John, you kind of know where it is. Just keep that in the back of your mind. How many ways are there to get there? Because in a lot of towns, there’s only one major hospital. you know, street? Do you know the back roads? If that gets bogged down, do you know how to get there? You know, just having these mental awarenesses about you, which, by the way, whether you got a higher risk threat or not, you should always be thinking this because you never know when that emergency is going to happen, no matter what it is, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, and I think for all of you listening, that really, Bill, everything we’re talking about applies to us all of the time. Whether there’s a heightened alert because of what’s going on over in Iran right now or not, yes, we are heightened a little bit because of what’s going on. But at the end of the day, to your point, these are things that we should be looking at and checking in on on an ongoing basis no matter what we’re doing. And I’ll be the first to tell all of you. Would I avoid going to a sporting event or a ball game or church or would I not fly someplace? No. For all of you listening, I will not. Again, I refuse because I don’t want the other side winning. I refuse to change. My habits and what I’m going to be doing now, I’m not going to be stupid about things, of course, Bill, but I’m not going to change anything at all, whether that be, you know, sporting events, vacations, you name it. Am I going to change anything along those lines? No, Bill, I refuse to.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean, I don’t think we’re at that level. John, maybe a day will come where you’re like, okay, yeah, I’m going to probably pull back a little bit. But I don’t think we’re there yet. I just don’t think we’re there.
SPEAKER 10 :
Really quick along those lines, I want to slip something in really quick because I did talk about this. on air yesterday, and I wanted your opinion on this today, because it does fit in. And for a lot of folks that listen to our programs, they are of faith and different types of faith, of course. I get that. And all of us have different backgrounds and beliefs and so on. And what’s really been interesting about all of what’s happening in the Middle East right now, Bill, and this is what I really do, I find it fascinating. And maybe I’m just not seeing it. Maybe it’s out there and I haven’t seen it. But, man, I read and look at a lot of things for all of the programs that I have, especially the daily program. And one thing I will say, Bill, is all of this prophetic nonsense, and that’s what I’m going to call it, where people talk about, you know, well, Christ is coming now or be looking for this and it’s the end times and this, that, and the other. And I did see a little bit when it came to the blood moon. But outside of that, Bill, I haven’t hardly heard a peep from these so-called prophets given what’s happening in the Middle East right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, yeah, that’s exactly right. I actually just taught about this on Wednesday, John. And, you know, through the Prep to Protect website, you can attach a link to our church there, and you can find our church teaching on Facebook, YouTube, Rumble, and even we have a section there free for school, S-K-O-O-L, which is an online learning thing. And I just talked about this. Even though we’re in Genesis chapter 10 talking about, you know, the first lineage there of J-Peth, I want people to understand that this is not the Ezekiel 38 war, because that’s what people start talking about. Every little skirmish that happens in the Middle East, it’s like, oh, my gosh, it’s Ezekiel 38. It’s Magog. And since Russia’s already in it, you know, we got and it’s like, no, you first of all. People are just listening to other people, and they’re not really doing their due diligence to find out for themselves. It’s, again, what the Bible says is Acts 17, 11. It’s like, “…hear with all readiness, receive with all readiness.” but search the scriptures yourself to find out if things are so. So, you know, whether you’re a religious person or not, there’s truth in that, right? You can hear things, but then you need to do your due diligence to find out if these things are so or not. No, Trump is not the Antichrist. No, because first of all, First of all, you don’t understand what the word anti means. John, sorry, I better get off on a tangent. No, you’re fine. Talk about it. Anti is not opposite. The definition of the Antichrist in the Bible is the pseudo-Christ, right? He’s a fake Christ. Yeah, he claims to be the Christ. That’s right.
SPEAKER 10 :
And so Trump is not claiming… And on that day, and you correct me if I’m wrong, too, Bill, again, not to get off on a side note, but I think it’s good to talk about this with people, because a lot of people don’t think through these things, in my opinion, in a proper manner. If he’s going to be that, and it’s the pseudo-Christ, which, yes, Christ was polarizing in some ways, although… This particular time around in Scripture is very clear. This will be a person that brings everybody together. In other words, everybody will think that he is the Christ and he’ll bring people together. It will be a one world government. And I’ll tell you right now, folks, there is enough hatred for Donald Trump around the world that he’s about as far from the Christ or from an antichrist as you’ll ever get. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER 07 :
And not only that, but let me just throw one little kicker in there on you, right? So you kind of said it, he will be the Christ for all people. Does that include the Jews, John? Yes. Yes. So would the Jews accept a non-Jewish Messiah?
SPEAKER 10 :
No, I’m one, Bill, that believes the Antichrist will have to be fully Jewish, just like Christ was, otherwise he won’t fulfill what you just said. That’s my feeling on things.
SPEAKER 07 :
I’ve been that way ever since I was a kid.
SPEAKER 10 :
Exactly. Yeah, so that’s where we’re… Is there anybody that comes around and tells you that so-and-so is going to be the Antichrist, but if he’s not fully Jewish, and yes, it will be a he, and yes, he will be fully Jewish, and yes, I believe he’ll also be in that same age group that Christ was when he walked the earth. That’s another caveat I’ll throw in, Bill, because I don’t think he… He won’t have credibility otherwise.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, he won’t check the boxes. That’s right. So he’s got to check the boxes in order for people to accept him as that.
SPEAKER 10 :
To fool, quote-unquote, which is what he’ll do. He’ll deceive and fool. That’s what Satan does, by the way, and that’s who he really will be when it’s all said and done. Let’s make sure we’re clear on all of that. But yeah, he will not be able to fool those, even the smartest ones of, into believing in him if he’s not just like Christ. Correct.
SPEAKER 07 :
And the Bible says that. He says he’s so crafty that even the elect may be deceived. That’s right. And plus Daniel says that he’s going to be Jewish. Anyway, that’s a whole other conversation.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I don’t want to get off on a tangent, but you and I are very much in agreement and always struggle with even some clergy, quote-unquote, that will tell you that, oh, so-and-so may very well be the Antichrist. It’s like, yeah, no, not according to my Bible, it’s not. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So anyways, not to get off on a tangent, but there will be those out there, though. This is for everybody listening. There will be those out there that will tell you that, yeah, Donald Trump’s the Antichrist. No, he’s not.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, and the point of all this is, you know, people are going to say all kinds of various things. Antichrist, Mark of the Beast, Ezekiel 38 war, and all these things. And the point of what we’re saying, John, is you’ve got to be sober-minded and don’t get caught up in the hype, in the trend of what people are saying. That’s right. you are falling victim to what they want you to fall victim of, and you need to look at that and go, no, that’s not correct. That’s not correct. This is not the Ezekiel 38 War. In fact, two of the cohorts of the Ezekiel 38 War are Turkey and Iran. Well, what did Iran just do? They just attacked Turkey. So they’re not an alliance. No, they’re not.
SPEAKER 10 :
Not even close.
SPEAKER 07 :
Just a couple boxes. Now, I will say this.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’ll go this far as to say a lot of the things that are happening right now with Iran and what Trump is doing to the Middle East, and when it’s all said and done, it will be a different Middle East than it’s been. Now, I will say this. Will that potentially change things down the road to make things easier for a quote-unquote antichrist to show up and do some things? Bill? No. Maybe. That one, I don’t know. We’ll see how things shake out here in the next six to 12 months. And could that be something that aids in that on down the road? Yeah, you know what? Could very well be. I don’t know.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, you’ve got to remember, it’s setting the stage. All of this is setting the stage. for that to happen. And how that plays out? Well, that’s what we’re living in right now, and that’s what we’re seeing, is the stage being set. Because, again, prophetically speaking, if you understand eschatology, which is the study of end times, and you read the condition of Israel in Ezekiel 38, They’re at peace, John. They don’t have walls up. They don’t have bars on their windows. They’re at peace. So that doesn’t fit. So there’s something else that has to happen. There’s two more prophecies that have to be fulfilled. And one of them being Isaiah 17, where it says Damascus will cease to be a city. And that means not just figuratively, that means literally wiped out, right? So which would then set the stage for that condition. The Ezekiel 38 war, the attackers of Israel form a ring around it, right? When you get into the Psalms 83, and especially with Isaiah 17, those are neighboring, those are touching Israel. Something’s going to happen to all those nations that are touching Israel that happen to set the stage before all that happens. Again, folks, don’t get caught up in the hype. You’ve got to understand. That’s right. And why we’re talking about this, don’t get caught up in the hype of the sleeper cells. Understand. And at the end of the day, if you just focus on what we talk about, do your due diligence, come what may, you are better off than you were before because you set some foundational things in place.
SPEAKER 10 :
That’s right. Guys, I cannot stress that enough. And I think for me, Bill, it’s where after watching a lot of the – you know videos and clips and things that were sent my way and so on again i’m not criticizing any of you that sent those things i get it there’s a lot of and bill this is what these other folks also work off of there’s a lot of fear out there right now because of what’s happening with iran one of the things i want to talk about too is you know fuel prices the They’re going to go up, folks. We’ll talk about some of the preparedness things you can do along those lines as well. And yes, they’re going to go up. Oil went up to 90 bucks a barrel today. There’s some predictions that it could go as high as 120 to 150 a barrel, and it will come back down. Mark my words on that. It will come back down. But it might take a little bit for that to actually happen. The dust will have to settle, per se, before those things happen. We’ll talk about some of those things in all of this as well. But I think for me, what I want all of you to realize is, number one, don’t be afraid. Number two, just analyze all the things that are going on. And there are some things you can do to be a little bit more prepared, even when it comes to fuel and things like that. We’ll get into that also. But again, at the end of the day, the biggest thing that I want people to do, Bill, and we’re talking about it, is number one, Be alert. Be prepared. Don’t follow the hype. And I think even for some of you, yes, there are some trusted sources where, Bill, I think you can get some information gleaned from some. And even a blind squirrel finds a nut periodically. So the reality is, yes, you can gather some information. But my point with this conversation today is just be careful. Not only, Bill, be careful as we’re out and about and doing things in our daily lives, but be careful what information you’re pulling in and then receiving and acting on.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, exactly right. And there’s a little bit of caution we have to walk here, too, John, because at the end of the day, there are those stories in the past where, hey, these, quote, conspiracy theorists kind of kind of called it before it happened. So, you know, is there some credibility to some, what some people might be saying? Sure. Sure. You know, because if, I mean, you go back to world war two, you go back to the attacks, you go and, and Hey, there were people screaming that it was going to happen and nobody listened, you know, so we, There’s some credibility to some of this stuff, but if you’re walking in wisdom and if you’re walking in understanding, you can sort through a lot of that yourself. Don’t you agree, John?
SPEAKER 10 :
I fully agree with that. So let’s do this. We’ll take a quick break. We’ll come back. There’s some things I want to throw in, even in regarding to economically speaking, Bill, what might happen with some of what we’re going through right now. So I want to cover some of that as well. Guys, we’ll be right back. Don’t forget Bill’s website, prep the number to protect co.com. So protect or sorry. Prep2ProtectCO.com. Ready-radio.com is our website. We’ll come right back. SPEAKER 10 :
All right, we are back. Ready Radio, KLZ 560. Don’t forget, website ready-radio.com. And you’re moving along. You’re talking about what’s going on with Iran and what really got this all going was a lot of you even messaging me asking about, you know, am I going to talk about sleeper cells and all the different things and so on. And I said, yes, absolutely, we would cover that given the situation of what’s happening around the other side of the world. Now, all that being said, there’s going to be some ramifications of what happens, period, whether it’s sleeper cells or not. What I mean by that, Bill, is we’re already seeing gas prices go up. You’re going to see that affect other things. And it’s going to be short term. Don’t let the news media fool you into thinking this is going to be something that lasts forever. And there are going to be a lot of criticism against Trump for some of these spikes in prices, which it is what it is. You’re going to have some of this, which… The end result’s going to be you’re going to see a lot more stabilization of oil and prices once this is all said and done. But yes, there’s going to be a little bit of a time here, Bill, that we go through whereby things are going to get a little dicey. And all I can say is, you know, be prepared. And what I mean by that is right now, for example. if you’ve got the ability to go fill up your vehicles and do some things, and most people use fuel on a daily basis, I understand that, and you’re at the mercy, I should say, of what’s at the pump at that moment in time, Bill. So in that case, you can only do what you can only do. But if you can stay ahead of it in any way, shape, or form, using fuel points, using anything you can do at all, coupon-wise, whatever, to try to reduce those prices, absolutely do that, Bill.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, and people also need to understand that you know, the oil price doesn’t just affect you at the gas pump. It does have an impact on shipping. It has an impact on, you know, jet fuel and air travel and even, you know, a lot of the plastics that come from crude oil. If you look at it, there’s a lot of things that are in your life that are because of crude oil. Um, and you know, if you start to mess with that, you know, you’re going to see that all over the place. I mean, even in a lot of pharmaceuticals, believe it or not, there’s, there’s impact there with the crude oil. Um, but you get, you gotta, and so again, again, This is no different than an economical punch to the gut. And so if you were prepared and if you had stocked up, if you had a little bit of extra food in your now to offset some of those costs instead of buying it at the expensive rate you know start doing your shopping out of your freezer and yeah there’s going to be replacement with that eventually but then you replace it when it you know comes back down and just be a little bit more you know wise with your with your spending that’s really the best way to hedge that off john yes and
SPEAKER 10 :
Again, folks, there isn’t any very few people, you know, myself included, have the ability to stock fuel and have a lot more in stock than what you would have otherwise. I mean, you just most people don’t have that ability, even, you know, large fleets like myself where I have on site fueling. I mean, at the end of the day, that fuel is getting used on a daily basis. It’s going to get refilled. It gets refilled at whatever the rack rate is. And it is what it is. There’s nothing you can’t I can’t go out and buy fuel. You know, 50,000 gallons of fuel on the front side, Bill, trying to save money over the course of time. Now, you can buy, you can lock in prices and do a lot of things, which, by the way, a lot of airlines and such do. And, you know, you can buy futures and different things along those lines. But most people, Bill, have no ability to do the things that I just said. It’s just not in their wheelhouse. So now here’s some tips. And I’ll talk about some of this on Drive Radio tomorrow in the car show end of things. Those of you that maybe have put off some maintenance and you’ve done some things that aren’t helping your fuel economy. In fact, maybe you can even sit down and say, OK, how can we as a family reduce trips? And that’s some of the preparedness stuff, Bill, that I’m talking about, whereby everybody can get involved and say, OK, instead of just running out on a whim, maybe we ought to do a little bit better job of figuring out, you know, how can we consolidate some of these things and not spend as much money on fuel that way?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, exactly right. You know, I have a 25-gallon gas can, if you will, in the rafters of my shop, which I just realized is empty because I just used the last of it. But, you know, now’s not the time to fill that out, probably. Should have done it a week or so ago, but that’s beside the point. But, you know, not everybody can do that, John, but you can maybe minimize your trips. Or if you’re going out… Maybe, you know, get the biggest bang for your buck, if you will, make as many stops as possible on that one trip. You know, until that price of fuel hits, you know, the shipping side of things, Maybe you can minimize some of your gas by ordering, having your groceries brought to you. I know some people do that now. I don’t quite get that, but I don’t want somebody to pick up my lettuce. I want to go pick my own lettuce. But at any rate, you get the idea there, right? You can hedge that by going, okay, well, instead of me spending my gas dollar, if they haven’t raised the cost of the delivery fee, well, I’m going to. Good point. Let them send it to you. That’s a great point. Buy your stuff on Amazon where you’ve still got free shipping right now.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. No, great point. And, again, I believe that a lot of these companies, given because it’s going to be short-term, you might see a few spikes here and there. But, honestly, I don’t think you’re going to see this last very long. And I’ve predicted this whole thing will be over in about 30 days or so. I would be shocked if it goes any longer than that. This is not going to be some, quote-unquote, endless war like – You know, you’re hearing the left talk about Trump’s got us into. No, no, no. It’s going to be a completely different Middle East within the next 30 to 60 days max. And I mean, the second the second 30 days is going to be really more along the lines of cleanup and just making sure things are dialed in and so on. I don’t see this lasting for a super long time. And oil prices, as soon as they know that those tankers can go through the straits without any issues. you’re going to see oil prices come down rather quickly. Now, some of what’s affecting oil prices as well is you’ve got countries like Qatar who have basically halted all production because they’re fearful of what might happen if they continue to have production with bombings and things like that, which, by the way, Bill, I can’t blame them. They’re looking at this kind of on an insurance side, if you would, and I can’t blame them for doing that. But the minute they see things are going to be okay again and they fire things back up, you’ll see prices drop overnight.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, and I got a question for you, John, and it truly is a question because I don’t know. But why are we so dependent upon foreign oil right now? We’re not. This should, if anything, ramp up ours. We’re not. And keep the cost low because… hey, we’ll just use our own stuff.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s a great question. I talked about this yesterday, and the reality is we are, I mean, we already do produce, we only import from the Middle East in this country about 10%. But, and I said this yesterday, traders do what traders do, Bill. And if they’ve got the ability to jack the price up and if there’s an over buying, which is what’s happening right now, if there’s an overabundance of buying for fear, there won’t be enough down the road that automatically pushes the price up, whether you’re here in America or whether you’re in Saudi Arabia. The reality is the the you know, the the. Crude prices, if you would, still work on a worldwide basis. And WTI, which is West Texas crude, is $90 a barrel right now. Brent, which comes out of the European end of things, is $92 a barrel. Louisiana Light is $84 a barrel. Bonnie Light is $70. You can go through the whole list of things. And a lot of what we do oil-wise in this country has to do with where it’s coming in, what port, what refinery is there. Is it sour crude? Is it sweet crude? And it really does depend upon how that refinery was set up originally. And no, we haven’t gotten to the point where we’ve changed all those refineries over to sweet crude, which is what we as a country produce the most of. In fact, that’s all we produce is sweet crude. Sour crude comes from the Middle East and out of Canada right now. And the reality is, yes, could we get by not importing any oil? Sure, we could do that easily, Bill. It would probably raise our prices up some. And I had the same question in the back of my mind. Okay, given the fact that we produce 90% between us, Canada, Mexico, 90% of what we use, we’re already producing, why is this really having an impact? Well, it’s because of what I said a moment ago. Traders do what traders do.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, supply and demand, I get that. And here’s another thing, too. I know a lot of the listeners out there aren’t really fond of this statement, but if you have that electric car, now’s the time to be driving that, right? I mean, yes, the crude oil also has an impact on the electricity bill, but, you know, hey, that’s where the whole thing comes together.
SPEAKER 10 :
Not as much of a direct impact as going to the pump and pumping up. So, yeah, for those of you that do have an electric vehicle, yes, I would highly encourage you to use that right now as much as you – possibly can because it’s going to have less of an impact, you know, there’ll be less of an impact on that particular vehicle than there is on driving, let’s say, your diesel truck, whereby you could see diesel prices spike up to probably, and I don’t want to say this because I’m a big buyer of it, Bill, I don’t want to see this, but it could easily go $4, $4.50 a gallon pretty easily.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, yeah, it can. And it’s just so… I hate to say it ironic, but right after the State of the Union where he was bragging about dollars, some gas in Iowa, now all of a sudden this happened. It’s like, ooh, that’s not a good look.
SPEAKER 10 :
But again, keep in mind, and I want to make sure I remind everybody of this, that this is going to be short-lived. This is not going to last forever. Again, I think within a month you’re going to see this drop. So, yes, you’re going to see some price increases even with what you’re paying at the pump in a matter of a month. Now, I’m going to say this as well. You’re going to see a spike right now and spend more money on fuel that you will then save on down there. And I know for everybody that doesn’t always mean anything, but you’re going to spend more now knowing that down the road it’s going to be a lot less. In fact, Bill, I think when this is all said and done, you could see oil back down around that high 50s, low 60s, which, by the way, they don’t want because they have a hard time making money at that rate. But I think you could very easily see where this is all said and done back down in the low 60s again.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, and I don’t think the other side really wants that either because they need ammunition, right? Yes. Especially coming up on the midterms here. So, yeah, John, it’s all very, very complicated. But we can get hyper-focused on conversations like this, or we can get hyper-focused on, hey, what can we do in the meantime to support our families? And that gets back to that basic stuff, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, and really quick, for some of you, too, and I know most people don’t think this way. I mean, I do because I’m weird. But, for example, UPS for years, and most delivery companies do this, only make right turns. Why do they make right turns? Because it’s fast, it’s efficient, they don’t sit at stop. Top lights are not using as much fuel. Okay, you as a family, you can do the same thing. If you’re going to go out and run around on a Saturday afternoon and run errands, plan your trips where you’re making less left turns, meaning you’re using less fuel when it’s all said and done. And there’s little things like that you can utilize to save money at the end of the day that most people, Bill, don’t think about.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, you’re absolutely right. In fact, I think about that, and every time it goes through my mind, I think, oh, UPS only does the right turns. I mean, I remember the astronomical amount that they saved just by changing their driving patterns. Obviously, it’s proportional to the amount of… vehicles and all that, but it’s, you know, Hey, how can I, how can I turn right? And John, really a lot of these newer cars, these hybrids, you know, when you come to a stop, your car shuts off, you know, I mean, I think people get a little hyper-focused about it, but we also got cars now that are getting, you know, 40 some miles a gallon with these, these hybrids and things like this. And it’s like, okay, yeah, the oil is an issue. Again, I go back to There’s other things you could probably focus on and maybe save some.
SPEAKER 10 :
The biggest thing I don’t want people to overreact to really quick, Bill, is I just thought of you saying all of that. It’s one of the things that happens when oil prices spike and fuel prices spike is people drive big trucks, big SUVs, and they want to sell those immediately. Folks, be patient. There’s no need to overreact and do that. In fact, I would go as far as to say this. You’re going to see… Probably some really good deals on some larger SUVs in the next 30 days or so because they will take a little bit of a hit, and you’re going to see prices drop because people won’t want to buy them when the price of fuel goes up. For some of you out there listening that do need a little bit bigger vehicle, now might be a really good time to buy one of those in the next 30 to 45 days because the prices of those will come down. But if you own one, don’t sell it because it’s going to end anyways.
SPEAKER 07 :
Right, right. Yeah, that’s being smart about it. Not everybody’s able to do that. And I was going to make the point, too, not everybody’s able, like you and I, you know, I have multiple cars to choose from. Correct. You know, I’ve got a small little electric car that, yeah, we’ll probably drive that a little bit more right now. I’ve got a smaller truck. Maybe I drive that. I don’t drive my big truck as much. That’s right. So I’ve got options. Now, I get it. Not everybody can do that, but it’s just another thing to think about.
SPEAKER 10 :
Your point is well taken, though, Bill. If you can do, and in some cases where you could team up and you’re riding together instead of taking separate vehicles or anything along those lines, by all means, yes, I think you should take a peek at that and do so. And again, folks, my biggest reminder is this will be short-lived. It’s not going to last for a very long time. We’re talking a month, maybe two at best. You’re not going to see that big of an increase in your budget. And again, once this is all said and done, whatever you’ve spent extra in by the end of the year, trust me, it’s only March. By the end of the year, you’re going to save that back because you’re going to see the Middle East stabilize. You’re going to see oil be something different than what it’s been in the past. And by the way, Bill, I’ll just say this straight up. I think there’s countries out there, the UK being one of them, that don’t like what’s going on right now because of what I just said. and they’re not going to make as much money as they once did, and they don’t like this. That’s why they’re against the war.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, that saying, always follow the money, it’s just so true, right? Unfortunately, it’s the world we live in. Everybody’s a product. Everybody’s being sold to. Nobody’s really out there to help you out. There’s always a catch. Meaning we have to help ourselves, Bill. That’s why we do this program every Friday. Exactly, exactly, exactly. And again, this is the last time I’ll say this, but instead of getting hyper-focused on, oh my gosh, the oil is going through the roof, let’s get hyper-focused on, okay, what can I do about it? That’s right. You know, maybe carpool, maybe take a bus, maybe ride my bike. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know your scenario. But if you spent more time focused on what you can do about it versus on sitting there listening to the news, getting all worked up, you will find the solution.
SPEAKER 10 :
