One day you stole me, nuncia vit Maria,
SPEAKER 01 :
At age 10, Father Andre escaped Christian massacres by living in caves in Mount Lebanon with his family. Today, Father Andre works tirelessly to encourage American leaders to keep God in the public square, defending religious freedom at home and abroad, so that all might live in peace for the glory of God. Founder and president of the Mission of Hope and Mercy, Father Andre has learned the secret to safety, joy, and peace. Love God and one another. Now, let us spend 33 minutes on the Lord’s Day, retuning ourselves to the truth of love in the hands of God.
SPEAKER 03 :
Praise be the most holy name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, now and forever and ever. Amen. Amen. Good morning, Father Altman, or good noon to you. Good afternoon to all of our friends who are joining us from the East Coast and anywhere else in the world that is already in the afternoon or late at night. On this beautiful day, we thought that you liked our first time when Father Altman and Father Frank Pavone and myself, we have spoken together to you, life. We have conversed about issues, about situations, and we have probably created a little bit of a panic We have probably created a little bit of a situation before you to put before you a responsibility, a responsibility for the future of the world, for the future of our faith, for the future of our hope, for the future of our love to God and to one another. It seems that we have made a good job by laying a big case in front of you. For those who may not have seen the almost four hours of big open conversation that was live between Father Frank Pavone from Priests for Life and Father James Altman from Coalition of Cancelled Priests, who is with us today in the studio for Irrevocable with Mission of Hope and Mercy. Myself, Father Andre, and hopefully Mary Flynn is going to join us in a little bit as well. Please, I encourage you, go to Mission of Hope and Mercy on our X account and look down. You may see this beautiful episode because it has a lot of teaching lessons. When Father James speak, I got used to listen to him, of course, with his special style, of course, with his unique way of expressing things. Yet, at the same time, he really tries to express a prophetic message situation. And what does a prophetic situation means? Prophetic situation is not a ministry of the future. It’s not a ministry necessarily of a prediction. It’s not necessarily a ministry in which people can read hands and read the eyes of the people, the minds of the people. and receive an inspiration to tell about the future. The very first thing about prophetic ministry, as you learn in the Bible, is to basically make a diagnosis for the situation of the people, the way the people are living today. And then measured based on the Ten Commandments, measured based on every word that is in the Bible and guided by the Holy Spirit. The prophets of the past knew that if the people of God If the leaders of the people of God, whether religious leaders or the civic leaders or the public officials or the kings of the people or even prophets, because there are many prophets in the times of Israel, if they continue in the path the way they’re doing, then God shows an oracle about consequences to these actions. And in fact, I wanna tell you that I have noticed, I studied Bible a lot. You know, I know 12 languages. I speak about seven and I know very well the Aramaic language and the Greek language and the Latin language. We studied a lot of exegesis in the Bible, studied other religions. When Father James Altman speak, Father James reflect the truth. And when he reflects the truth, sometimes the truth hurt. And we have been in a world today where the truth somehow became relative. When the truth becomes relative, there will be fakeness, there will be confusion of certain principles. And I think today we are looking forward with Father James Altman to speak more and more about his newly released book, finally, Telling the Truth, basically. And of course, we want to ask him about this beautiful book. And there is no more fitting time to release this book more than today, a wonderful day in which you are still in the month of October, consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary and her triumph, and to the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, which by consequences, she is the Queen of Peace. And she has been giving an initiative for the peace of the world. In 1917, between May 13 and October 13, when she appeared every month, except for August, she had to delay the appearance because the kids were being taken to jail. It seems in August 1917, they couldn’t make it on the day of the 13th. So basically, with those apparitions, Our Lady said, listen, God decided to establish, in my honor, a devotion. a queen of peace and he sent an initiative for peace to all the kings of the earth to all the nations of the earth to all the people of the earth and this initiative began with her appearing to these little three children and her statue is behind father altman and her statue is behind me she is our lady of fatima that was given to the president and that went with me to the white house at the 100 year anniversary on october 12 13 2018 after she has been with me with the holy father pope francis and i had informed him that i am taking the statue to president trump on that day i sent a message to pope francis i said in a mystical vision that i received the holy father and after i told my bishops about it our lady told me that on your conscience and on the conscience of president trump depends the future of peace, faith, family, freedom, and life. And mainly that you too have to get your acts together in some way. And you have to look at the initiative of peace of Our Lady of Fatima and realize that the world in which you are living today actually is still living in the context of this major operation. But then persecution happened. The sheep was scattered, priests were canceled, and many ugly truths were revealed. I’m not sure if these are truths or realities of what the elder, you know, then Simeon in the Holy Temple, when he carried baby Jesus, looking at him in the hand of the Virgin Mary at the day of the presentation of the baby Jesus, he looked to her and he says, and you, you, a sword will pierce your heart. so that the inner thoughts, what’s in the heart of the people in their inner thoughts will be revealed and your child will be contradicted. Father James is not afraid that his truth is being contradicted because he doesn’t preach a personal truth. I don’t preach personal truth, but the truth is that we have been saved by Jesus Christ and God has given us a holy book. And he has tasked us to evangelize in the whole world. And he has left in our hands a deposit of feeding, a deposit of faith. With that, my friend, on this beautiful day, without no further delay, we want to start with the praying the Our Father by Pope John Paul II. Listen to his voice, refreshing our memory that we actually had a prophetic pope in the church. And then we begin on this day in which we celebrate the feast day of Pope John Paul II. that we begin our conversation about the new book and welcome Mary Flynn as well, who is joining us to say hello. She has a limited time and stay with us. Father Frank Pavone has a great message as well and has a warning message for us, especially in Colorado, because they opened, unfortunately, a new clinic, trimester clinic, it seems, for abortion. There is no boundaries for abortion in the state of Colorado. Unfortunately, Father Altman and Mary and everybody and Father Frank has sent us a wonderful message. So let us listen to the Our Father and pray together with Pope John Paul II. And happy feast day.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, hello, friends. Pro-life leader Frank Pavone from Priests for Life. Sorry I can’t join you live on the broadcast today. Greetings to all of you and Father Andre and Father Altman. So this news about the opening of a new abortion facility in Colorado. Don’t be surprised by this. Don’t be discouraged by this. You know, actually, we can make it boomerang on the other side because the American people have never accepted abortion in all trimesters. You know, second and third trimester, most Americans who say they’re pro-choice want some limit on abortion. And the Democrats love to deny that it’s even happening. They say, oh, there’s no third trimester abortions. Oh, there’s no abortions in the later stages of pregnancy. Well, there certainly are. And the opening of this new facility in Colorado proves that. So make it boomerang on them and challenge people. Do you accept abortion in the third trimester? And most Americans, of course, will vigorously say no. And then we need to recruit them to help us to stop it. Colorado is one of a number of states that have virtually no restrictions whatsoever on abortion throughout pregnancy. Besides Colorado, we’re talking about Washington, D.C. We’re talking about Vermont, Alaska and Oregon. We’re talking about New Jersey and New Mexico. We’re talking about Maryland, Minnesota and Michigan. Those states, those nine states plus D.C. are the worst in terms of abortion policy. And then of course we have dozens of states that are protecting the unborn, some 14 of them right from conception. So the battle rages, but the fact that these extremists in Colorado continue to flaunt abortion throughout all of pregnancy, let’s use it as a boomerang against them. We have a special website called lateabortion.org, lateabortion.org. Please go there, see the things that you can do to expose late abortion. That is the first step. in ending it all together. God bless you and I’ll talk to you soon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Father James, good day to you and happy feast day.
SPEAKER 04 :
Happy feast day to you. I don’t know, there are no words to express how profound It is what we just saw and how back when we had a Catholic that donned the white cassock that sat in the chair of St. Peter and what that actually looks like. And you cannot look at him and what he was doing and then look at Leo or Bergoglio and say that there’s just no comparison. One is Catholic and one is not. And when you see real Catholicism, it lifts the spirit, lifts your heart and soul to heaven. 2,000 years of the same unchanged and unchangeable truth, the same sacred liturgy, and we see it embodied in Pope St. John Paul the Great. And I appreciate the contrast, as I said, between Pope St. John Paul the Great and Bergoglio and Leo. It’s night and day. One is Catholic and one is not.
SPEAKER 03 :
I have a question in general to ask you. First of all, if you have a copy of your book, of course, we like to see it. And I know Felicia will prepare to show it to the people. I think she has a picture that she can put on screen. Yeah, she has a picture she will put on the screen. But I want to ask you,
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s so not like me. But people think I’m always angry. I’m not always angry. That’s going to be the title of the third book of Joyful Homilies. I’m not always angry, but I look kind of stern there. But what does it say? Truth at last. And the truth is sobering in our crazy world where we’re not being taught the truth by the shepherds of the church. They have betrayed us. They’ve misled us. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
So what is the truth at last? Because the truth has come. Which truth we’re talking about?
SPEAKER 04 :
So it’s nothing other than 2,000 years of the unchanged and unchangeable truth. I don’t say anything new in there. If I use modern parables to get the point across, like Jesus used parables. So, for instance, the very last chapter is called Lines on the Side of the Road, something like that. And it’s because the road departments are tasked with the duty of painting the lines on the sides of the road so that you drive down the road and on a dark and stormy night, you don’t. You don’t run off into the ditch and kill yourself. There was a case in law school when I was in law school. The big case was that the road department had blurred the lines, had allowed them to become blurred, had allowed them to deteriorate. So you couldn’t see which way to go to be safe. The whole point of the truth that has been handed down to us is to keep painting, maintaining and painting those lines on the road, the narrow road to heaven. so that we get to heaven. If you don’t know where the road is, or if it’s not clearly delineated by those lines on the side of the road, you’re in trouble. So the truth that’s in there, very easy to read chapters. I don’t think there’s a chapter more than five or six pages long. because it’s a very quick and easy parable sort of a style of writing that shows how the truths are everlasting. The truth is eternal. And how can I say that? Because Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and he is eternal. So that’s what this book is about. It’s using parables such as the lines on the side of the road to get across, and then using the points of our catechetical history, the points of teaching of Jesus handed down through the apostles, handed down through faithful Catholic shepherds ever since, until like the last 50 years or the last 100 years. It’s only been in the last 50 to 100 years where the shepherds have betrayed us. They have abandoned the faith. They have created, they have schism from the church. Let’s be clear on this. Just like Luther’s schism from the Catholic church, so have the majority of shepherds in the Catholic church today done a very Luther, very John Knox, very John Calvin thing. They have schism from the truth that set up a false, contrary church with false teaching. But if you just go back, and read the truth that has been handed down to us, you will readily recognize the error, the rat poison that these modern shepherds are putting into your soul, feeding your soul. And you eat enough of that rat poison and it’s going to kill your faith dead. And that’s exactly what we’ve seen, which is why something like 90-some percent of Catholics don’t even go to Mass anymore and don’t believe in the Real Presence. because they’ve just been fed rat poison for the last half century or last century. There’s Cardinal Newman that said a hundred years ago, just read the church fathers and cease to be Protestant. Read the church fathers, read the truth because the truth hasn’t changed. The same thing they were teaching in the year 100 and 200 and 300, same thing they’re supposed to be teaching now.
SPEAKER 03 :
I want to ask you, when I read the title of your book, it honestly reminded me of the scene where Pontius Pilate and Jesus are face to face. Pontius Pilate with his boastful dress and the general military outfit and Jesus this meek and being beat up. I think like… I think one of the mystical visions says he was beat up like about 5,000 strikes on his body, and then he was already flagellated and having this crown of thorns. In a movie of Francesco Zeffirelli, I believe, Jesus of Nazareth, it depicts it in such… sacred way. I know Mel Gibson’s as well is beautiful. The passion of Christ focusing and showing the human suffering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is a reflection of his divine love at the same time. The scene where Pilate asked Jesus when Jesus said, life, truth, and Pilate asking, truth? What is the truth? Today, after we had basically exposed to the people, there is a risk that we’re losing what family meant in the past doesn’t mean any longer. What the relationship between children and parents, what the reality of abortion, Tucker Carlson yesterday spoke, and I wanted to comment on that. in a beautiful way about abortion being an introduction to killing. Allowing killing in the womb, it means we can kill the elderly. Killing the elderly, it means we can kill the people. It’s a culture of death. And that Mother Teresa, that Pope John Paul II, When they came to Denver, Colorado, I believe for World Youth Day in 1993, on August 15, they spoke about that. So what is the truth on a spiritual level, Father James?
SPEAKER 04 :
Sure. You know, I love the fact that you brought up Pilate asking that question. For most of my life, I always thought he was being sarcastic, like, yeah, yeah, whatever. There’s no such thing as truth. But Pilate himself was a conflicted man, and his wife was very spiritually oriented. And she’s the one that told him to have nothing to do with that man, because that man’s holy. That’s why he had to wash his hands of it. I mean, it was a coward’s way out, and it haunted him the rest of his life. I understand he committed suicide in the end. I think it’s vain. But in any event, what if he really said to Jesus, because you know, he’s looking at the scourged and crowned with thorns Jesus. And he sees something divine. Because no human being would put up with that kind of nonsense and come back with a rage, an anger. A response more typical of human nature, not divine nature, which is what the good thief on the cross also saw. There’s Jesus. Remember, he says to the bad one, he says, hey, we get what we deserve. This man did nothing wrong. And that’s why he turned to him, realizing something metaphysically divine there or in reality. something beyond mere humanity. He recognized that in Jesus on the cross. And that’s why he said, Lord, remember me when you’re coming into your kingdom, which meant he knew that death was not the end, that Jesus would rise again. Even the good thief knew that, right? So now go back to Pilate. And Pilate’s there and he’s looking at Jesus. And he asks Jesus, like he’s almost begging Jesus, Jesus, just tell me what I can do for you so that I don’t have to hand you over. Don’t you realize I can do that? Of course, then Jesus says, well, it’s because the power is given to you from on high, which is really scary, scared Pilate. Remember, it’s scared Pilate. So Pilate says to him, tell me what is the truth that I can grasp a hold of this and save you? What if we looked at Pilate that way? We have our personal interpretation of what actually happened. But you know what? None of us was there. And I don’t know which saint has taught us about how Pilate actually lived. what he meant as he asked that question. But if you’re looking at truth, and Pilate was looking at the undeniable truth, and Christ about to be crucified, beaten, bludgeoned, buzzed, spat on, slapped, scourged, crowned with thorns, and he sees this man knows what truth is. What is it, Jesus? Tell me what it is. Tell me what the truth is so I can have the truth too. What if we looked at Pilate and said, maybe that’s the way Pilate said it. Everybody just says it almost like he said in Scorpio, oh, what is truth? Go on, get out of here. You deserve to get, you know, what’s just happened to you. But that cannot be, that cannot be Pilate’s reaction to be in the presence of the divine, beaten and bludgeoned, and still at peace in the midst of this, knowing when Pilate hands him over that he will be crucified, which everybody knew, Pilate knew, Jesus knew, everybody knew. You willingly accept crucifixion? Everybody goes against it because it’s the most horrible thing that could happen to you. And yet there’s Jesus in perfect peace, not even attempting to defend himself in front of Pilate. And Pilate looks at him and he says, well, every person who would say who’s in that presence say, wow, I need to know what you know. Tell me what is truth. Much better, much better understanding of what Pilate said then, as opposed to a merely dismissive, oh, get out of here.
SPEAKER 03 :
So there are actually consequences. The truth is revealed, right? I mean, if you look at our theology, if you remember, for those who are joining us with Irrevocable, this live conversation with Fr. James Altman about his newly released book, Truth at Last, and it seems this is only volume one. So remember, this is going to get even better. more and more. It is available on Coalition of Cancelled Priests website. I encourage you to purchase this book and it will be a token of participation in this fight for truth against all lies, which is the truth of our faith, the truth of our hope and the truth of our love. So for those who are watching us now, I ask you to please share the link, if you do not mind, of Irrevocable, this live episode, and invite your friends while they are at work, they can tune it down a little bit, and they can still probably watch or listen to this wonderful and unique conversation, which is taking place today on the feast day of Pope John Paul II. Irrevocable, Father Andre and Father James Altman, Mission of Hope and Mercy and Coalition of Cancel the Priest speaking about the truth. And yes, we are encouraging you to, as much as possible, participate in a beautiful campaign by buying This book, which Father James has written, and he has two other books, actually. One already came out about the treasury of the saints of the Catholic Church. This is a beautiful, beautiful book. It’s almost like an encyclopedia of saints before they become forgotten, before they become forgotten, these saints. And, of course, we are looking forward to the next volume of Truth at Last. So please share the link on our Mission of Hope and Mercy X account and make sure your friends are streaming live and they can listen or watch our beautiful irrevocable. If you have any questions to ask, usually in the chat on our X, I can see them and I am happy as well to address your questions to Father James or to myself or to Mary Flynn when she to find a little bit of time, she was gonna join us and still planning on joining us as well. We’re talking about the truth in its theological sense. And of course, Father James, you are talking about the truth in its empirical sense. And in empirical sense, meaning we have an obligation to stand up for the truth. There is a movie. I watched it a few days ago about a young kid in Germany. It seems he was Mormon. I would try to remember the title of that movie, but it shocked me. There was nobody in the movie theater, by the way, to watch it. About a 17-year-old young kid who… was a participant, a member in a Mormon church where in Germany, Hansburg, I believe, where many of the local Jewish people as well attended that church at the same time. And it seems that the bishop had, in order to protect the church, had to follow the script, the script of the Nazi script that told them what to speak, what to say. And one day the bishop posted on the door of his church, Jews are not welcome. And unfortunately, they stormed the houses of the Jewish people who attended that church. So this leaves you with a mystery. The producers of that, by the way, are, I believe, the same producers who did the work about the movie, you know, the human trafficking. I think you know them. They are your friends. They did Mother Cabrini as well. Right, right, right. Angel Studio. Yeah, we met them, we’ve been with them, and I know you’re friends with them as well. They did a great job. But that 17-year-old kid who had a lot of privilege in the Nazi regime, his father in the military, his brother went to the military, he decided to use all sorts of prohibited books that he would go downstairs in the central office of the Nazi, basically, building where he was working. So he had the privileges. And from the prohibited books, he tried to expose the truth of the lies of Adolf Hitler. And it chopped his head off in the end of the movie. But he told them before they killed him, before the judge pronounced the judgment, he said, you are judging me who have committed no crime. I am an innocent man. You are judging me for saying the truth. I stand by the truth because my judge ultimately is God. So, and that was powerful. I honestly teared up because you suffered in your life. We suffer isolation in our life, right? We suffer rejection. And the Mother Church sometimes has been, when it’s occupied, when it’s occupied, you’re making a little bit of distinction between Pope John Paul II, a pope sitting on the throne of Peter. versus the two subsequent popes who came after Pope Benedict. We described them and somehow that there is a man and somehow sitting now on the throne of Peter. And people are confused a little bit when they see how in the Catholic Church today, We have voices on the left. We have voices on the right. We have people living as if there is a kumbaya. Everything is fine. Everything is well. The Catholic Church is actually growing. But then there are statistics. The Catholic Church is shrinking. There are statistics in Canada that the Catholic Church does not have enough priests. They need, let’s say, 2,500 seminarians. They have only 600 seminarians. There’s contradiction even in the truth. What makes people believe what you’re saying is actually the truth?
SPEAKER 04 :
Jesus said, and it’s always nice because we can always point to Jesus. And when you hear somebody modern say something contrary to what Jesus said, that should be like the biggest red flag going off, red flares booming up in the sky. There’s a problem here. So what happened is you had, and Canada’s way beyond the U.S. They’re just gone in crazy lives. And apostasy, the shepherds of the church in Canada, with rare exception, are complete apostates to the truth. But you won’t know it if you don’t know what the truth is. You don’t know what you don’t know. That means you’ve gotta, Jesus said, if you seek, you will find. So if you seek the truth, which has been handed down in the deposit of faith, for 2,000 years of saints and martyrs. If you start reading that, then you will know that’s a church, that’s a truth worth giving your life for. That this modernist, crazy, It’s not worth it. I can sit home and watch football on TV rather than go to church on Sunday. This church of the lavender mafia and anything, and we’re all okay. There’s no sin. You don’t even need a savior. That’s why they don’t go to Jesus. Why should they? They don’t have to. This universalist, everybody goes to heaven if there is even heaven. The truth actually calls you and resonates within you. Why? Because as Jesus said, it’s been written into your hearts. And that’s why I say when he met Pilate, that truth resonated in Pilate so much that he said, well, what is the truth? If we’re not asking that question, then we’re like the foolish virgins at best. the foolish virgins. But the foolish virgins got locked out of the kingdom. It’s not, oh, I’m a nice guy, I’ve got good ethics, I’ll give you the shirt off my back. That’s not what Jesus ever taught. He said, listen, you give the shirt off your back, you will end up in heaven. No, no, no. Jesus taught a life of witness to the truth. And he said, when you do that, especially you just read John chapters, I think it’s 13 through 17, the Last Supper, the Last Testament. And you read that and he says, listen, if they hated me, they’ll hate you. They persecuted me, they’re going to persecute you. You will know you’re on the right track. You will know that you are learning and living the truth when you are persecuted for it. If your life is comfortable…
SPEAKER 03 :
You’re a foolish version. Wasn’t Socrates a Greek philosopher who I think he would hold some sort of a lamp and at night time even he would go in his city and he’s saying, I am searching for the truth. I am looking for the truth. And he’s a philosopher basically who consecrated most of his philosophical life, most of his life, searching for the truth. And it was a method of questioning, a dialectic, right? It was a method of… asking questions today to find the truth we don’t ask questions there is an indigestion i do not know if i said the word right in english right there is an indigestion about getting the information for gossip there’s too much information i don’t think at the time of socrates at the time of saint paul at the time of the early christians when we had to witness to the truth You know, we know there is a category of the fathers of the church. We call them the apologetic fathers, right? When we study theology, you and me, we call them the age of the apologetic fathers. They had to defend the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ against all philosophies and against all schisms, against all heresies. So we do have a precedence in the history of the church where fathers of the church stood for the truth and defending the truth in a methodological way. Your book, Truth at Last, what does it stand for? Meaning, what does it defend? And what is your method of approaching the topic of the truth at last? So what do you defend in that book?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, so for instance, I think right at the very near the beginning, I talk about there’s a well-known atheist comedian named Angelette. And I write him in there specifically because Jorge Bergoglio and even now Leo hold forth that to proselytize, to evangelize is a sin. It’s an evil. Because why should you have to evangelize if all roads lead to heaven, right? You don’t try and spread the one truth as Jesus commanded us at the end of Matthew and at the end of Mark. And he said, go forth and teach everything that I have commanded you. and those who accept it will be saved those who reject it will be are already condemned right condemned to what well it’s the answer that question to eternal fires of hell as jesus described it repeatedly this is a black and white right so uh so there’s penn jillette he’s an atheist and i quote him i quote the actual article that he did the interview that he did he said this he said if if you actually believe that if i don’t convert to your way of thinking that I will spend an eternity in the torments of hell. He asked the question, he said, how much do you have to hate me to believe that and not warn me? He said, I have no respect for Christians who do not proselytize, who do not teach, who do not try to convince me, try to convert me to their belief Because how much do they have to hate me not to tell me? He said, if you do, if you do try, I’m not going to believe because I’m an atheist, right? I don’t believe in your cockamamie Christianity. But at least I will respect you because it tells me that you love me enough to try and tell me what the truth is. So I think the book begins kind of in that way, trying to say, listen, if you actually believe me, then you really do have a duty to preach and teach and live, be a light of Christ in this ever-darkening world.
