From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, President Trump is giving Democrats a lot of reasons to freak out these days. We’re just a few days into the new year already. Let’s take a look at just a couple of days in. Maduro captured, Venezuela freed, Tim Walz quits as governor of Minnesota. Mark Kelly in Arizona has been demoted and docked his retirement pension. Tariffs are exploding. Elon Musk and President Trump are besties again. Hasn’t even been a full week. Oh, and just for good measure, the administration made good on its promise to upend childhood vaccinations. This story really intrigues me now. It’s been a long time since I’ve had… little kids to care for to make sure that they were taken care of health-wise. The U.S. is now officially only recommending that kids get 11 vaccines with additional shots for children who are at high risk. The slimmed-down vaccine schedule resembles Denmark’s for what it’s worth. This story confuses me because all this is is recommendations by the federal government. And for the life of me, I don’t understand why anyone would expect the federal government to be your child’s parent. You get to be your child’s parent. The CDC says that parents should consult with doctors before vaccinating their kids. All vaccines previously recommended by the federal government will continue to be covered by health insurance. According to the. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., we are aligning the U.S. childhood vaccine schedule with international consensus while strengthening transparency and informed consent. Now, already they’re freaking out, saying the kids are going to die and there’s going to be an impact on public health and kids are going to drop dead. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden from Oregon, where else, said Robert Kennedy, with Trump’s blessing, is leading the country down a tragic path where more children die from preventable diseases. The director of the Dallas Health and Human Services told Axios, it’s going to endanger the health of our children and of our communities. So there’s been widespread condemnation over the recommended vaccine list being reduced. Again, recommended. You want to get your kid 3,000 vaccines? Knock yourself out. Go get as many vaccines as your kid’s body can handle. Nobody’s telling you not to vaccinate your child. There are two stories that are staring me in the face today. The complete destruction of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Their board voted to dissolve the entire organization. Public broadcasting, as we’ve known it, is done because of the way the federal government has decimated federal spending. We shouldn’t be supporting public broadcasting. How stupid is that? Why don’t you support me? I want a portion of your tax dollars to support the Mike Gallagher show. That okay? Of course not. We’ve got to earn your trust. We’ve got to earn your ratings. And we’ve got to generate the revenue to keep the show going. And PBS does, public broadcasting does that too. I flipped it on the other night. They’re filled with advertisements. They just glossy it up real pretty. They gussy it up. Oh, today’s program is brought to you by a grant from Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo, your banking needs met in your community, every neighborhood. Wells Fargo, here on public broadcasting. They got ads, and they sell tote bags, and they also get direct donations. for the programming that you see on public broadcasting. Good! Knock yourself out. You want to sit in front of the TV and watch the history of the tsetse fly? Knock yourself out. Make sure you buy a bunch of tote bags and donate. Contribute. I’ve asked this for years. Why in the Lord’s name in heaven above should one taxpayer dime be spent to fund entertainment. That’s all it is. I mean, you can call it information. It’s an entertainment outlet. It’s programming. It’s NPR, public broadcasting, PBS. Shouldn’t be any tax dollars allocated for that. So now the corporation for public broadcasting is gone. They’re dissolved. Now, don’t worry. They’re saying, we’re not going anywhere. We’re going to sell more tote bags. We’re going to rely on our donors more than ever. Yada, yada, yada. Knock yourself out. Where did I see? Where was I? What city was I in? I can’t even believe that I can’t remember the city. I walked by a public broadcast. Maybe it was New York. I don’t remember. But wherever I was, I walked by a facility that housed public broadcasting. It was the local TV station. Gosh, it’s driving me crazy. Where was I? It couldn’t have been in Bozeman, Montana. It was over the holidays. It was fairly recently. Anyway, it was the most beautiful, pristine, shining, state-of-the-art facility. They had all the equipment on display. You could see it from the street. I thought this facility is worth millions and millions of dollars. And taxpayers are supposed to help fund this? Give me a break. Look, it’s not business as usual anymore. There’s a new sheriff in town. Can you give me one argument as to why you believe the federal government should be in the vaccinate your kid thing? mandate business? Isn’t this just a parental rights thing? It’s a real simple question for you here on a Tuesday. See if you’ve got an answer for me. Are you upset that the Trump administration has, in the words of Axios, sparked a midterm vaccine war? Oh, the Democrats are going to use this against the Republicans this year in the midterm elections. Let them. Are people in favor of parental rights or not? Isn’t this a parent’s responsibility? Tell me what you think. 1-800-655-MIKE. Let’s kick things off with a bang here on a Tuesday, January 6th in the Relief Factor Studios. One number does it all. I just was perusing ex-Benny Johnson, the social media influencer. reposted the Tim Walz clip from last year when he was mocking Tesla. Remember that? Remember when Tim Walz was mocking Elon? Oh, look at the stock. It’s dropping. $2.25 and dropping gives me a boost. Tim Walz today, as Benny points out, I’m dropping out of the governor’s race. As Benny put it, Tesla’s up. And waltzes down. Ouch. He’s a nasty guy. He really is. I always love these people that you think they try to manufacture this narrative. Oh, he’s the coach. He’s the coach. Yeah. Some coach. Fire some more paintballs at people for standing on their front porch during the George Floyd riots, huh? He’s a tyrant. And likely going to still be in a whole lot of hot water over this Somali fraud scandal in the state of Minnesota. But let’s get to your phone calls. A couple of things that I just am grappling with. It’s a mystery to me. It’s a mystery why anybody thinks the government should be in the business of telling you what vaccines you can or cannot give your child. This is not hard. The government shouldn’t, I mean, this kind of has throes of the whole COVID vaccine mandate. Why should the federal government be in the business of babysitting your children? Nobody who wants vaccines for their kids will be deprived of the ability to get vaccines for your kids. This is a recommended list, goes down to 11. It’s so simple to me. I can’t even imagine there’s a debate. Number two, why in the world should one taxpayer penny go to fund public broadcasting? And the Trump administration has made good on its promise, like they have on just about everything else. Promises made, promises kept to defund public broadcasting. And yesterday, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Board voted to dissolve the entire organization. Done. Kenny’s in Missouri. Our number is 800-655-MIKE. If you’d like to join us, we have an open line for you. Hey, Kenny, welcome to the show. How are you? Morning, Mike. Good to talk to you. Yes, sir. What do you think?
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to apply for taxpayer funds. to maybe fund a show that supports, you know, Americanism and Christianity and gun rights and shooting sports, and they would lose their minds. Good luck with that. National propaganda radio would just come apart.
SPEAKER 02 :
Is there, in 2025, Kenny, is there a good reason for taxpayers to support public broadcasting?
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s such a deep question. There are so many things that they shouldn’t be – I mean, for crying out loud, they funded – and believe me, I’m from way back in the country. They’re funding Cowboy Poetry Society of all the – I know. Goofy things. No, entertainment. What has that got to do with our federal government? They’re supposed to control the borders and support our country.
SPEAKER 02 :
Thank you. That’s it. And not support all things considered. Not support, you know, the latest PBS great masterpiece special with Beverly Sills at the Metropolitan Opera. Give me a break. And please, I’ll put you to the top of the line. You tell me why you think it’s okay for taxpayers to fund public broadcasting. I’ve asked this question over and over and over again. Nobody gives me an answer. Mark Davis, my buddy in Dallas, pointed out that back in the day, it used to be argued that, well, there were rural communities involved. who didn’t have cable or didn’t have, I guess, antennas that could get television programming. So NPR and PBS, those days are gone. It’s 2025. Look, public broadcasting, do what we all have to do. Have a business model. that sustains yourself. Don’t expect, don’t have your hand out. They expect the taxpayers to fund you. 800-655-MIKE. Mike’s in Houston, Texas on the issue of the vaccine and the news that the Trump administration fulfilled its promise to reduce the vaccine schedule down to 11. Hey, Mike, how are you?
SPEAKER 08 :
Good, good. First time I’ve ever called in. I enjoy listening to your show. Thank you. But this is an area I have a bit of knowledge as a physician. Sure. And I would say that the CDC and the government have a role in determining the safety and efficacy of vaccines. Correct. I also think that if you’re going to be exposing vaccines other people to your illness, that you have to be very circumspect about not getting vaccines. But this is a real improvement in clarification on the part of the government, and it should be left mostly to states and to schools. I don’t really want my kid going to school with a bunch of kids who don’t have measles vaccine. We’ve had some outbreaks because of immigrants who did not get vaccines and have started spreading it. And people can die from this.
SPEAKER 02 :
But to me, Doctor, this is a fundamental question about parental rights. That, to me, is what this is at the core of. In other words, and as the administration has pointed out, nobody’s preventing you from getting as many vaccines for your kids as you choose. But it seems to me… And it just seems like the government has been trying to – their role has been to take that prerogative, that right, away from a parent. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER 08 :
Absolutely. No, you’re completely correct. My only concern is where you have – you’re putting other people at risk. And that would be, say, in the military. where you have people in barracks where we know there’s a high concentration of meningococcus, which can be very lethal. And there I think it’s been the purview of the government to say, you need your meningococcal vaccine because we don’t want to wipe out a whole barracks and put them in the hospital.
SPEAKER 02 :
But what do we do about that with a child? If a parent doesn’t want their child to be vaccinated and you would argue that that child could put other kids in the classroom at risk, what’s the practical solution to that?
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s really tough. And I’m not sure there is. But I think that part of this is just education. And unfortunately, we’ve got a situation where people have agendas and are.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, yeah. Well, vaccines, you know this. I’m up against the clock here. But vaccine skepticism is at an all time high. And you know that as well as I do. Thank you, doctor. Good to hear from you. One open line. Let’s see what you think. Eight hundred six five five. Mike, good to have you here.

Is losing weight getting harder and harder as you get older? It’s not your fault. You’re eating better, you’re moving more, but your body isn’t responding the way it used to. That’s not willpower, that’s metabolism. For many people, years of dieting is quietly slowing down your metabolic system. So the harder you try, the less progress you make. I was dealing with the exact same thing five years ago. I made a call to PhD Weight Loss. It changed my life. At PhD Weight Loss, they help people identify what’s actually blocking fat loss, and they fix the root cause. It isn’t as simple as counting calories. Your body is much more complicated than that. SPEAKER 01 :
Donald Trump started out with the whole premise is that we are going to be energy independent. We are going to drill, baby, drill. We are going to make sure we are self-sufficient. We are going to drive down the cost of goods. We’re going to make manufacturing good for the United States of America. That is America first. That’s what he was elected to do.
SPEAKER 09 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oh, boy. Dr. Mike from Houston. sparked a talk show within the talk show. You should have heard the team after the doctor from Houston called a moment ago. He sounded like a nice guy, too. I don’t want to beat him up, but boy, did he tick off the team here. Eric and Christian and Tracy and Alex and I, we all got into a whole big dialogue about his points. And again, please, Dr. Mike, don’t take it personally. I don’t want to pick on you. But I do want to present to you at least what our team was saying about your comments comparing children in school to members of the military in a barracks with vaccinations. And your argument, Dr. Mike, that the real issue from your perspective as a physician is the risk that an unvaccinated child puts or gets. presents to other people and all kinds of alarm bells went off and I gotta, I gotta follow up because it really ties into the whole COVID era, doesn’t it? And the, and the skepticism we have about vaccines and it is well deserved. We are skeptical about vaccines because we were lied to about vaccines and This is real simple to me. And small wonder that vaccine skepticism is at an all-time high, considering what we all went through during the pandemic. So more on that in just a moment. Let me tell you a little bit about your cell phone. Because if your credit card balances are freaking you out a little bit after the holidays… I’ve got something that can save you money immediately. You could cut your cell phone bill in half. when you switch to Pure Talk and their Saver plan. Pure Talk’s Saver plan is pretty astounding. Check this out, $20 a month for unlimited talk, text, and three gigs of high-speed data on Pure Talk’s ultra-fast nationwide 5G network. And you know what I love about Pure Talk? It’s not like one of the big nameless, faceless corporations. This is a veteran-led company, and they care deeply about giving back to those who serve. In fact, if you’re an active or former military or first responder, you’ll save an additional 20% every single month. They give you a 20% discount monthly as a first responder or active or former military. So grab your phone, dial pound 250. And when prompted, say the keyword Mike Gallagher. Pure Talk’s U.S. customer service team will help you switch in a matter of minutes. Again, talk, text, data, $20 a month. Dial pound 250 from your phone. Say Mike Gallagher. You’ll be connected to the U.S.-based customer service team from Pure Talk and make the switch like I did. Hey, you’ll save an additional 50% off your first month too. Pure Talk, America’s wireless company. So Dr. Mike calls in from Houston. And, you know, I’ve got this little thing in my ear. We’ve got a team spread out all over America. I’ve got Tracy with me here, my producer in Florida. I’ve got Christian and Eric and Alex in New York City. Joey Hudson, of course, in South Carolina. Roger P. Shulman in the Tampa News. I mean, we’re all spread out. And I’ve got this thing called an IFB. It’s in my right ear. If you’re watching right now on Salem News Channel, you can’t really see it. It’s carefully tucked away. And it’s the same thing that everybody on TV wears. I mean, you know, you see talk shows and it gives the team the ability to communicate directly to you. So Dr. Mike calls in and says, now look, I’ve got some background in this. As a physician, my concern is what… people not getting their kids vaccinated will do to other children. He also compared the childhood vaccination schedule that the Trump administration just changed to members of the military exposing other servicemen and women in the barracks. Well, my earpiece after Dr. Mike after we had to end the call and go into the break, my earpiece blows up. They’re all chattering in my ear. Eric says, wait a minute, wait a minute. What does that mean if he’s worried about an unvaccinated child infecting another child in the classroom? If you’re worried, get your kid vaccinated and you won’t get measles. That’s what the vaccine is for, we were told. And of course, that’s the logical answer. response to what Dr. Mike said. Evidently, Dr. Mike doesn’t believe in the efficacy of vaccines. And he was agreeing with me. And again, forgive me, doctor, I don’t want to pick on you, but Eric’s point is a good one. But it goes right to the pandemic. Remember all the times they told us if we got vaccinated, we wouldn’t get COVID? That wasn’t true. Do you remember how many times they told us, here’s how you protect yourself? Get the vaccine. Some of us got vaccinated and got COVID three times anyway. And that’s why people are fed up with medical experts claiming that there’s a public health risk if your child isn’t vaccinated because that child is going to expose other children. Again, either the measles vaccine is effective or it ain’t. You don’t want your kid to get measles? Then make sure your kid’s vaccinated. Does it work or doesn’t it? And as to the comparison to members of the military, that’s a whole different kettle of fish. When you sign up to serve your country, you are basically handing over your soul to the government. You’re their property now. It’s not the same with a kid in elementary school. Sheila’s in New York, 20 minutes before the hour, 800-655-MIKE’s our number. Hi, Sheila, how are you?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m good, thank you. I’m going to make this short and sweet. Sure. I raise and show dogs and my dogs are vaccinated. I take them to dog shows. I have no idea what other vaccinations those dogs have. My dogs don’t get sick. Isn’t that the same premise about your kid getting vaccinated and going to a school where you don’t know what kind of vaccinations those children have?
SPEAKER 02 :
If you believe in the vaccine, you should be okay. Thank you. That’s exactly what Eric said. You’re right. And that’s what people were saying after Dr. Mike called. It’s like, wait a minute. Dr. Mike is saying, well, we’ve got to be concerned about the other kids in the classroom. Well, the other kids in the classroom can get vaccinated. The days of your child being babysat by the government under the Trump administration, are gone. And we understand the nature of Democrat ideology. Government takes care of you from the cradle to the grave. That’s what’s going on in New York City. Mamdani the commie wants everybody to be in communal housing. Are you following the story of his whack job, radical, tenant rights character? The things she is saying and has said about owning private property? Oh my gosh. It’s nuts. And the New York Post did a dive into some of her past comments. She thinks being a property owner is white supremacy. Now, this is the lunatic that Mamdani has appointed to be his tenant rights commissioner. Oh, my gosh. Janie’s in Houston, Texas, 18 before the hour. Hi, Janie. Welcome aboard. How are you?
SPEAKER 11 :
I’m fine. Thank you. Everybody’s already made my point. I agree with Eric, and I called in to say I wish that you had asked the good doc. So you’re saying then that vaccines from measles don’t work because those parents who are worried have vaccinated their children. They shouldn’t worry, I guess. And as to the two or three families maybe that haven’t vaccinated their children, then you start getting into what you were calling the babysitting of the government. I think it’s worse than that. It’s the taking away of parental rights. And so then it becomes, you know, are we turning into a communist country? I’m not naive. I’m not stupid. I know there’s certain things the government needs to protect people from. But, you know, I just think they overreach every single time anymore.
SPEAKER 02 :
I think you’re right on the money. And to me, that it all boils down to parental rights. It’s all about parental rights. Period. And You have to understand that to people on the left, they don’t want you to have any rights as a parent. They want to strip those rights from you. They want to remove those rights from you. They want the government to do what you are expected to do as a parent. And we have to just understand that. That’s kind of baked into the cake. That’s their ideology. That’s their whole mindset. 800-655-6453. 16 before the hour. We’re rolling along. It’s a busy Tuesday, January 6th, 2026. Stay with us. Well, I know it’s kind of late. SPEAKER 02 :
It’s a little bit astounding to see what the Democrat Party has devolved into here in January of 2025. There’s a headline for the ages. This headline is one that they should be teaching in… in political history classes and poli-sci 100 years from now. Democrats wonder whether supporting a narco-trafficking dictator is a winning message. You know the answer to that question? Is it a winning message to support a dictator who stole an election and built a partnership with Hezbollah in the Western Hemisphere? You think it’s a good idea? For today’s Democrat Party to support a guy who brutally executes his opponents and is a drug runner responsible for poisoning thousands and thousands of Americans? Think that’s a good plan? I mean, this is nuts. What they’ve become is off the charts. But as Ed Morrissey over at HotAir.com points out, Democrats have gone all in on la resistance. Attempting to negate the election results in the U.S. in 2024 for the past year. Should it surprise us that they’re no longer invested in the legitimate election results of Venezuela? Maduro has become their model of power. to seize it despite the results of an election, to force opposition leaders into prison, and to ally themselves with the avowed enemies of our country for the sake of cheap political posturing. And they are… I mean, the media? Jake Tapper over at CNN? He got taken out to the woodshed last night by Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller… who pointed out why we did what we did with Maduro in Venezuela.
SPEAKER 07 :
Why does the president think that Machado should not be the next leader? Why does he think she’s weak?
SPEAKER 06 :
First of all, all Venezuela experts agree. All Venezuela experts agree that it would be absurd and preposterous for us to suddenly fly her into the country and to put her in charge. And the military would follow her and the security forces would follow her. This is not a serious… It’s not even a serious question. So should there be an election? Let me… If you give me the floor for 30 seconds, let me tell you what we are doing here, Jake. The United States, this is sort of foundational. The United States is using its military to secure our interests unapologetically in our hemisphere. We’re a superpower. And under President Trump, we are going to conduct ourselves as a superpower. It is absurd that we would allow a nation in our own backyard. to become the supplier of resources to our adversaries but not to us, to hoard weapons from our adversaries, to be able to be positioned as an asset against the United States rather than on behalf of the United States. Sovereign countries shouldn’t be able to do what they want to do. The Monroe Doctrine and the Trump Doctrine is all about securing the national interests of America. For years, we sent our soldiers to die in deserts in the Middle East to try to build them parliaments, to try to build them democracies, to try to give them more oil, to try to give them more resources. The future of the free world, Jake, depends on America being able to assert… ourselves and our interests without apology this this whole period that happened after world war ii where the west began apologizing and groveling and begging i don’t even know what you’re talking about right now it’s a what i’m talking about jake is the idea and by the way you do i know you love doing that smarmy thing jake and i was hoping to be better than that this time
SPEAKER 07 :
I asked you about if there should be an election. I asked you if there would be an election in Venezuela. That’s what I asked. I said, why was the president so quick to dismiss Machado? You answered that question.
SPEAKER 06 :
And then I said, the objective, Jake, is security and stability for the people of Venezuela. With our help and leadership, that country will become more prosperous than it has ever been in its whole history. Venezuela is a woman running Venezuela right now is part of the Maduro regime. There will be conversations, Jake, about all of these guy posts along the way. The reason why I was giving you that speech, which I know you didn’t want to hear, is because you’re approaching this from the wrong frame. This neoliberal frame that the United States’ job is to go around the world and demanding immediate elections to be held everywhere, immediately, all the time, right away. No.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s not what I think, but you invaded the country. We went into the country and we seized the leader of Venezuela.
SPEAKER 06 :
Damn straight we did. And I’m saying, so is the U.S. going to have new elections? Tim Pot, communist dictators, send rapists into our country, send drugs into our country, send weapons into our country. OK. And we’re not going to let a country fall into the hands of our adversaries. The future of Venezuela working with America is going to be so bright and so incredible and so positive. And we’ll have a conversation about everything that you raise. But the priority right now is the president has made clear is a judicious, thoughtful, careful transition process to secure a great future for Venezuela. and to secure a great future for America. Let’s just take a moment and just acknowledge, Jake, that what we’ve witnessed under President Trump’s leadership this last week is one of the greatest foreign policy and military victories this country has ever had.
SPEAKER 02 :
Evidently, Jake Tapper didn’t get the memo that Democrats are now wondering whether supporting Maduro is a winning message. I love that smarmy call out, I don’t even know what you’re talking about, right? He knew exactly, Stephen Miller is certainly capable of articulating the Trump administration policies. Jake Tapper knows exactly what Stephen Miller was saying. But they’re leaning into this. They are. They’re doubling down. Jesse Waters pointed it out last night on Fox News Channel. We go from CNN with Jake Tapper to Jesse Waters over on Fox News pointing out how the Democrats are now actually fundraising off of the capture of this wanted Nicolas Maduro.
SPEAKER 05 :
Democrats hosted no-kings protests all year long, and now they’re standing with a real-life dictator, and not just any dictator, one that actually stole an election and stayed in power, the same thing they falsely accused Trump of doing. The DNC is all in. They’re even fundraising off Maduro’s arrest, sending out emails like he’s the Spanish George Floyd. Kamala’s on board. Mamala says capturing Maduro makes America less safe. Imagine Kamala president. She’d just say the D word. Don’t.
SPEAKER 02 :
I love that they’re fundraising off Maduro like he’s the Spanish George Floyd. Wow. 800-655-MIKE. 14 past the hour. Welcome in. It’s Tuesday. This is crazy. And it’s getting crazier by the moment. Take a look at what they’re doing in New York City. We touched on this yesterday. The new director of the Office of Tenant Rights. What a doozy she is. You want to talk about a Lulu? Get ready for this lady. Oh, my gosh. She’s the new tenant advocate, a woman by the name of Sia Weaver. She’s Mamdani’s director of the city office to protect tenants. She makes Zoran Mamdani look like Winston Churchill. You want to talk a lunatic? Home ownership is white supremacy. We need to seize private property. She’s the director of the city’s office to protect tenants. Tracy, you’ve got to find out what they’re paying her. I’ve got to know what Sia Weaver’s salary is. But this is part of Team Mom Donnie. And this is part of what today’s Democrat Party looks like. And yes, thank you, texters, for correcting me. I said this is what it looks like in January of 2025. It always takes me a little while to get used to it. Of course, I know it’s January 2026. And today’s Democrat Party is in big trouble. They’re going to get clobbered in the midterms. They’re going to get absolutely… I’m convinced of that. There’s no way… that the crazies are going to run the asylum in America. Let’s see if you agree or not. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. We’re in the Relief Factor studios for a busy Tuesday. One number does it all. You can call or text us on the MyPillow text line. Same number, 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. I can almost touch you. Sweet.
