SPEAKER 12 :
american patriots who pledged their lives to independence in 1776 were the heirs to this majestic inheritance their veins ran with anglo-saxon courage their hearts beat with an english faith in standing firm for what is right good and true in recent years we’ve often heard it said that america is merely an idea But the cause of freedom did not simply appear as an intellectual invention of 1776. The American founding was the culmination of hundreds of years of thought, struggle, sweat, blood, and sacrifice on both sides of the Atlantic. Fate drew a long arc from the meadow at Runnymede to the streets of Philadelphia that ran through the lives of people born and bred on the British code that no man should be denied either justice or right.
SPEAKER 10 :
It was a very odd thing to witness, a bunch of people, especially when the King of Britain, King of England, King of Britain went to Congress and was addressing members of Congress and Democrats, all stood up and gave him a standing ovation, which was, you know, very—it was very polite. It was very nice. But POTUS joked that the king was able to do something that he wasn’t ever able to accomplish, which was kind of funny. I just thought it was—can I just—first off, welcome. Your girl’s burning the candle at both ends here. Good to be with you, Dana Lash, top of this first hour. Can I just say— And I’m going to be, again, I’m not Dora the Explorer. So if you’re expecting me to be PBS, you know, whatever kid shows are on there, you’re a bad parent. Don’t make me entertain your kids. Because there’s a bunch of ass kissers in this thing. That’s why. I was taking in the amount of people. I like, look, I agree with the fact that that we are good hosts. We’re good hosts, right? United States of America, we’re good hosts. POTUS, the first lady, they were welcoming an ally. I get that. But can we stop Americans going, it’s his majesty, King Charles. Did that bother anybody else, or am I being picky? Does that bother you, Cain? Does that bother you? Did that stick out? Because, I mean, everybody and their brother was doing it. People I know were doing it.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, it does. Yeah, it does bother. Only because we have American DNA running through our veins.
SPEAKER 10 :
I am so… I mean, how anti-authority are you? Do you see little warning labels on things, and you’re like, not today, King George, right?
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, I’ll… You know, I’ll honor the ones not sticking forks in toasters and stuff like that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, it makes me want to stick a fork in a toaster.
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m telling you. But you’re right. It is a little egregious these days.
SPEAKER 10 :
I saw a number of people like, oh, it’s King Charles. King Charles. His Majesty. And now you call him King. That’s his title. But, you know, for everyone to be like, oh, His Majesty. And then I saw a press report. I can’t even remember the link now. There was a report where. He apparently or some some it was a reporter that was mad that the first lady didn’t. Oh, my gosh. The curtsy didn’t curtsy. OK, so this is what I’m building up to. And then we’re going to get to the SCOTUS decision and we’re going to get to all this other stuff. But this is just sticking to my craw. I just got to be real for a second. You don’t curtsy because you’re not showing deference to them. I’m not curtsying to someone. I’m not curtsying to anybody. This is the bottom line of it. I’m not curtsying to anybody. I’m an American. We all have that crazy American DNA, right? And when you curtsy to someone, you’re showing deference to them. you are curtsying to, you know, I’m a subject, you know, I’m bowing. It’s a little bit more than, I’m just not a curtsier. I’ve never curtsied anybody in my ever-loving life. Have you ever bowed to anybody, Cain?
SPEAKER 06 :
Bowed? No, I’ve nodded heads. I’ve never bowed.
SPEAKER 10 :
What do you mean you’ve nodded heads?
SPEAKER 06 :
Like you nod an acknowledgment, like, hey.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, well, that’s not the same thing.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know what I mean?
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s not like, yeah, it’s not. Steve, have you ever bowed to anybody? See, I’ve never said not in Kane. The correct answer is you haven’t.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s true.
SPEAKER 10 :
You have not even because the little head acknowledgement is way different than I’m bowing. Because I think what dudes bow at the waist to the monarch over there in the ladies curtsy or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So there was actually a reporter that was upset. Where because Melania Trump did not curtsy and Lorraine brings up the point. This is true. I mean, they’re equals. I mean, you know, the president of the United States and the first lady. run the United States and you’ve got the king. And I mean, so they’re equals. They’re both you have two sovereign entities. I would dare say that, you know, King Charles ain’t all by himself because he’s got parliament. It was just weird to watch journalists try to make a thing over that. And that was something that they were trying since yesterday. It was just very odd to see it. All right. So where to even start? I guess some stuff happened. I was traveling for work, so it was not for pleasure. Some stuff happened, I think, Cain.
SPEAKER 06 :
It always happens that way. Like, I’m torn. You know me, I support you taking time off. I think it’s important for you to recharge and all that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I wasn’t doing that, but that’s lovely.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I know, I know. But what happens is whenever you leave town or whenever you take time off… something happens and I don’t know what I can do. Should I prevent?
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s either, you know, like the, the abort, like Roe v. Wade’s overturned or healthcare passes or POTUS, you know, Butler, Pennsylvania, as I was coming back from vacation a couple of years ago, which was one of the last vacations I took.
SPEAKER 06 :
So two assassination attempts you’ve been out of town for. Yeah.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So this, uh, Incident, this attempted assassination that we had. This was I feel like I’m made of questions right now. Do you guys know the hotel? Right. Maybe non-D.C. people don’t. It’s called the Hinkley Hilton. Yeah, it’s called the Hinkley Hilton. And why is it called the Hinkley Hilton? Because that’s the hotel that John Hinkley, who, by the way, is free. I mean, he’s he’s you know, he was offering somebody was somebody in the media was asking him his thoughts about security. Dear heavens. So if you remember, that was and I’ve stayed at that hotel before. It’s right there in D.C. It’s very easy to get you from everywhere. It’s like literally John Hinckley goes, well, you know, Washington, the Washington Hilton isn’t safe. It’s literally the Hinckley Hilton is what it’s the nickname for the Hilton there in Washington, D.C. And so you have you would think that this was back in 1981. And that’s when John Hinckley tried to kill Reagan. He shot Reagan. And then you got those all of those amazing photos of the guys like pulling out Uzis out of briefcases and all kinds of stuff. I mean, they were ready to rock. They, you know, they loaded him into the limo and they took off. So you would think that the hotel where they were, where Reagan had been shot, you would just you would think that maybe perhaps they would have some security, higher security there. Right. You would think that they would. But. That’s not—apparently they didn’t. I was reading a Washington—that’s what I’m pulling up right now, this Washington Post piece, where Washington Post said that they had a lower level of security at this event than they had at previous events. Now, my question is why, because you didn’t just have POTUS at this event. You also had the vice president. You also had, I mean, almost all the cabinet. You had SecWar, SecState. You had everybody. And do you know that the designated survivor or the person who I think is like sixth in line or whatever to the or no, maybe third, sixth, I think it’s Chuck Grassley. God love Chuck Grassley. But so he was the one who would have, you know, heaven forbid if the worst had happened. But Washington Post said that they had had a lower level of security at this event than they had previously. And I’m just thinking, you know, you’re at the Hinkley Hilton. Maybe, this is a thought, maybe just have a little more security there. Because it’s the, what is it, Hinkley Hilton. Maybe just have a little bit of security. I’ve stayed in a hotel where the President of the United States spoke before. And when we checked into our room, I can’t remember what hotel it was. When we checked into our room, there was a note that was, you know how they give you, oh, here’s the menu and all that stuff, whatever. It was included on top of that on the desk when you checked in. And it said, due to the nature of the event, et cetera, Secret Service will be sweeping all guest rooms. And, you know, they’re not going to disturb anything. And they’re going to and they gave you the time that they would be doing it. And, you know, so please, you know, and so it wasn’t even an issue. And the reason I bring this up is because this guy was staying at the hotel. He was staying at the hotel. People saw him bringing stuff in. And he was able to access the inner stairwell for a few floors before he got into the general entry area. And I’m just shocked that the stairwell wasn’t secured. I can’t believe that you’re having a White House correspondence dinner here. And you have the cabinet, the president, the vice president. And they, I mean, apparently they didn’t sweep guest rooms. And I just, I don’t know, man. I mean, you would think that after Butler, when you had this very obvious roof that no one secured, you would think that maybe, I don’t know, maybe let’s look at the hotel rooms. What about these back stairs here? No, there’s no way. Because when I watched the video of this guy storming, The entry area. And by the way, he got through the he got to the last layer of security. Now, he didn’t get all the way outside the double doors, but he got through the last layer of security. After that, it was just walking. And if there had been more than one guy that bolted through that security checkpoint, there would have been a mass casualty incident because they would all been focused on one guy and the other guy would have sprinted through to if it had been more than two. Dear heavens, what if they took different ways? I’m just shocked at this. I was talking to a friend of mine that works in law enforcement the other evening. He was saying that Secret Service, while it has this aura of being a very influential, impressive thing, it’s not a job that a lot of guys want because it’s a lot of travel. And the thing is that the pay apparently doesn’t equal to the amount of travel that you do. And it’s a grind. And dudes don’t want to do it, which is apparently one of the reasons why there’s, you know, for certain positions within security, within federal government, there’s a deficit. And I mean, I get it. And also they were treated horribly. You know, they’ve been treated horribly before. You know, the whole thing with hookers and the Secret Service in Columbia and all that stuff. Well, apparently that was arranged by some Obama staffer and they decided to blame it on Secret Service and have Secret Service take the fall for it because God forbid you incriminate a member of the Obama administration. That’s how that went down. So they get they get hammered for a lot of stuff. And so when they mess up, great, give the criticism due. But at the same time, I think we need to have a major conversation about recruitment and training because apparently they’re not given as much training as you’d think. And this is talking to some friends of mine that were pretty high up. they don’t get what you’d think. So is really just moving everything? I mean, I get it, the ballroom is going to be secure, but is that going to be the force multiplier that everybody thinks it is? As we move, the folks who help make the program possible. SPEAKER 10 :
So at Costco, apparently they’re rolling their eyes at a new food court hot dog combo? Apparently, I mean, get to the whole point of it. This article’s stupid. What’s the point of this dumb article? Like, literally, dear God, they buried the lead. Again, six graphs down.
SPEAKER 06 :
Costco’s known for their, isn’t it the $1.50?
SPEAKER 10 :
And apparently the takeout is known for their inability to write a story. Delete your website.
SPEAKER 06 :
$1.50 for a hot dog and a drink has been the price. So I don’t know what their story is on the hot dog, but that’s been a pretty big thing.
SPEAKER 10 :
They’re saying that the water combo price at the same $1.50 makes it less economical. Like, say, if you get a water, it’s still the same price. Because water’s supposed to be free, you know, apparently. Why not make the hot dog free, too, you welfare recipients? Good grief.
SPEAKER 06 :
Purify water.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, exactly. Let’s see here. Also, I don’t care. Some old American pie actress is on OnlyFans. Nobody cares. Let’s see. I’m more interested in the two-toned lobster that was caught off Cape Cod. It’s half, I don’t really know what the hell color it is. Half brown, half red-ish. Like literally, it’s like half orange, half brown. It is, instead of eating it, they put it on display at the Woods Hole Science Aquarium. Can I be real? I mean, it’s very interesting how straight the line is down its back, but it’s a multicolored lobster. Are you really gonna, let’s go to the museum and go see the multicolored lobster. I mean, that’s great. I’m sure it tastes just, I mean, sorry. I’m sure it tastes just as good. Okay, this is actually crazy. A woman gave birth on a flight towards going to Portland on the plane, a passenger on a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta on their way to, I think, Portland. Right before it landed, two paramedics happened to be on the flight, thankfully, and they borrowed blankets, et cetera, from other passengers, et cetera. But they helped deliver the baby. The baby was two weeks ahead of schedule. Can I just ask why you’re flying? I mean, maybe, I don’t know why she’s flying. The mom, she was going to be with her mother for the birth, but didn’t quite make it. Then why didn’t the mom fly to you? Like, that’s stupid. You’re literally about to have a baby. Make your mom fly to you. You don’t fly to your mom. I don’t get it. One of the paramedics said that she and the other paramedic were returning home after vacationing in the Dominican Republic. And she was in labor. Contractions were closed. There was 153 passengers on board. And she was born like right on the plane. Crazy. Apparently, mom and baby are doing well. So there you go. So thankfully, they were right there at the right time when needed and they were able to assist and help that mother. But man alive, that’s already. Can you imagine as the planes landing? Because it’s already like with the air pressure and everything else, it’s not entirely comfortable. But, you know. Let’s see. We also have SFO in Oakland settled their squabble over an airport name. They were having a dispute, according to NBC in the area. They’re going to call it the Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport is what it is. They were fighting over it. There was a trademark lawsuit between the city and county of San Francisco and the port of Oakland. over the airport’s branding. And this began like a couple of years ago. East Bay changed its name to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Airport. And then San Francisco objected. I can’t believe that they have the time to fight this. As we move, our partners that help bring you the program, it’s our friends that are over at Chapter. Chapter exists to kind of cut through a lot of this confusion when it comes to Medicare. Because a lot of people that, you know, if you’re one of the people that are going on Medicare or if you’re already on it, you know, you have to go to some government site or some random insurance agent. And then, you know, It’s a surprise. Your plan doesn’t actually cover everything that you need. Medicare is confusing on purpose and that people getting confused is why they end up in the wrong plan and they overpay and they’re undercover. So chapter exists to cut through the confusion. Before we get back to the show, take a second to follow the podcast. And if you would, leave a rating and a review. It helps new listeners discover us and keeps this community growing. Thank you for being here. I immediately want to go to our guest on this because you guys know our very dear friend, Stephen Yates. He’s very generous with his time every week. He was at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. And he was sharing photos with our staff, et cetera. He was there like, you know, pretty much kind of like front and center. And I wanted to get his thoughts on this and also the latest with Iran. But first off, Steve, and I’m glad that, you know, I am very glad that that obviously there was no mass casualties at this event that you were at. But I want to ask you first the most obvious question in the world. It was at the Hinkley Hilton. Right. Everybody. I’ve stayed at this Hilton before. How is it that we have less security when the president and vice president and cabinet members are at the Hinkley Hilton? It’s at the Hinkley Hilton. And this is allowed to happen. I want it when you went through security. I mean, what were your initial thoughts when you and first off, thank you for joining us. But what were your initial thoughts there?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, Dana, I’ve been there many times, not necessarily to the Correspondents’ Dinner many times. I think this is only the second time in my life, and it’s nothing really I’ve aspired to. I don’t really like crowds. I don’t like to have to wear a tuxedo and all that cool stuff. But my first impression going in was they sort of had a perimeter out of the street because there’s the usual crowd of dopey protesters trying to say no kings before a king’s coming. But then we go in. You sort of flash a ticket, but they weren’t really looking at names and matching the tickets. You go into the building. There were some pregame activities there in different parts of the hotel. It’s a huge hotel, which you know. And so there’s no security anywhere, really, until you go down in the direction of the ballroom. And so you go down an escalator. You’re going in the direction of a ballroom. Finally, you see the familiar magnetometers. Wanding is going on. But really, you just handed the contents of your pockets to a human who looked up. There’s a phone. There’s some keys. There’s a wallet. On you go. If you set it off by going through the magnetometer, they wand you and everything’s fine. But really, that is it for security in terms of screening. Now, I wouldn’t discount that there are cameras and people watching different humans, but really, it felt like less security than I go through every week going through TSA at an airport. And at least there, everything is x-rayed. And so I think there were a number of people that went through and said, you know, something just feels a little different. Now, going back year after year, I think also part of the factor of this is they always have this event at the same place because our nation’s capital, oddly, has a scarcity of ballrooms of sufficient size to have reasonable sized events. Hence the discussion about a White House ballroom, but really it shouldn’t just be that. But it was also very unusual, I think even for the Correspondents’ Center to have the President, the First Lady, the Vice President, and so much of the National Security Cabinet there. And then you look out of that room It might not be perfect to see in the photos, but people have seen tons of coverage. It’s elbow to elbow all through that whole room. I can’t believe that it’s a fire marshal approved kind of venue because once the shots were fired outside of the room, and I would emphasize there were no shots fired in the ballroom. People should know that by now. The threat was stopped before it really got to the most dangerous position, thankfully. When security comes in after the hammer goes down that we’ve got to secure our protectees, that’s kind of what freaked everyone in the ballroom out. And people went under their table because guys that are very well trained and armed to the hilt are stepping table to table to table because they can’t run between the tables over the chairs and the people to get to the protectees. But that’s kind of sort of the quick and dirty on that. It was chaotic. Lots of people traumatized. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just sort of sat there and watched it like I was a movie I was in and didn’t really feel like I was a participant. And once people sort of ran to different areas and were under their table, I could kind of see there was no ongoing threat. The president was down and taken out. At that point, they’re just verifying whether there’s a threat in the room or it’s outside the room. Once it was very, very clear it wasn’t in the room, it was just sort of winding down what happens now. And that’s been famously covered.
SPEAKER 10 :
Was there a thought because there was a lot of discussion that maybe perhaps the president would rejoin and it would continue. Was that were you aware of that at the time or did it seem pretty obvious that, oh, no, there’s this is no continuing with us tonight?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, I mean, some of us have been in the Secret Service bubble and been around these kinds of events quite a lot. It’s pretty unusual if it was important enough to evacuate the protectees that you’re going to bring people back. And, of course, there’s the very, very self-important members of the press who evacuated themselves, and some of them were not going to be coming back.
SPEAKER 10 :
With some wine bottles, too. They evacuated some wine bottles, I hear. Yeah.
SPEAKER 14 :
yeah that was kind of a wild thing to watch uh but uh but so i but the president was adamant it didn’t surprise me one bit that donald trump was no the show’s gonna go on and frankly i was all there for it i wanted to hear his his routine this this is like going to be grade a stepping into his element rip roaring into the press while celebrating the first amendment and i i was really really ready for that and his attitude was yeah they come at me but i’m not going to let them stop me but he relented just out of respect for the concerns of law enforcement and i can i can respect that decision But they announced twice that he was intent on coming back, that they were going to serve dinner. Since we had tickets to a dinner, my hungry old-age tummy was ready for a dinner. But no, in the end, the security folks, the people that needed to investigate the incident, after the appetizer was done, they said, all you humans need to get the heck out of this building. And so do not pass code. Do not get your code from code check. Get out.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, wow. I mean, I’m not going to lie. Like I watched a guy, I think he was with a CAA sit in the corner on video and he was eating his mashed potatoes or something. He was eating something. I’m not, you know, I, I probably, and you’re pretty chill. It seems like you’re pretty chill under pressure. I probably would have done the same thing. I got it because that salad looked delicious.
SPEAKER 14 :
I just didn’t want anybody to run into me. Just don’t violate my personal space. It took everything I had to get into that area with a lot of people. I do not want ignorant people running into my personal space. But it was pretty clear quickly. I mean, initially when the thump, thump, thump was going on and I saw sort of the armed folks going in to get the protectees, you couldn’t tell that there wasn’t a threat in the room because there’s just 2,500 or so people in there. And, you know, you’re not really that close to where the action was. And so for the first few seconds, you don’t know. Are you watching something horrendous unfold? But for me, I’m just sort of looking, well, then where’s the pop pop coming from? This doesn’t sound like a gun to me. What else is going on? But that’s my overly analytical mind. And other people pretty much are convinced I’m crazy about that.
SPEAKER 10 :
No, no one thinks you’re talking with our good friend Stephen Yates, who was there at the White House Correspondents Dinner. As you know, he I don’t think I said this outright with Heritage. Foreign policy expert worked in previous administrations, which, you know, this this isn’t your first rodeo. How did it compare, you know, security level to previous events that, you know, like of these sorts that you went to under previous administrations?
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah. Well, there’s the large scale events like national conventions and state of the unions and other, you know, of course, you expect a government campus like the Capitol Hill to have layered security. The perimeter is very far from the venue and there’s different checkpoints. You have to match names with IDs. Conventions are like that, too. There’s areas for protesters to do whatever there is. And then there’s areas for people who’ve been screened. And you can sort of, in the crass world of security, say there’s the dirty zone, those are unscreened outside, and the clean zone of everyone who’s already been screened and you’re operating and can move about, but you usually will have a badge or some kind of way to show that you’ve been through the screening at these big events. At smaller scale events that might be campaign events or other, there’s a range. But at this day and age, At this point, no one in their right mind can say that Donald Trump is able to operate as an average president. There is an unprecedented amount of radicalization aimed at him 24-7, 365 at levels never known to mankind. And multiple assassination attempts and lots of people who should be okay, but the cheese done slid off their cracker. And so this is not an environment in which you can have normal security. So even if the correspondence dinner has always been there and has always been done this way, I still don’t think it was the right kind of layered security, but everyone’s got an opinion after an event like this. But if you just begin with the proposition that just an incredibly irresponsible, malicious manipulation campaign is out there and radicalizing people no less than radical jihadists have radicalized suicide bombers. And this guy was the functional equivalent of a suicide bomber. Yeah. If he had had explosives instead of firearms, it would have been a different situation. If it had been five to ten people instead of one, it would have been a different situation. That’s the razor’s edge we were on in terms of continuity of government. That’s why if I was advising the president and others, I would not put a critical mass of my national security cabinet in one place in public unless it’s really necessary. And a correspondence dinner is not necessary.
SPEAKER 10 :
No, not necessary at all, especially, you know, you mentioned the previous threats. I mean, for crying out loud, Iran tried to assassinate the president of the United States, which brings me to my last thing for you, completely switching gears here. Apparently, so the United States and a number of allies have issued a joint statement backing Panama’s sovereignty, because apparently there’s some tensions that are rising in the Panama Canal. And I was very interested that Marco Rubio’s first trip was down to South America, going to Panama and talking to Panama leadership about this. Apparently, they said that they were monitoring what’s described as China’s targeted economic pressure and what’s affecting Panama flagged vessels. So is this a sign, do you think? Is this increasing tension on behalf of China in the Panama Canal a result of how it’s being affected from not just Venezuela, but also the blockade that we have in the Strait of Hormuz?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, you’re absolutely right, Dana. It really stood out to me that Secretary Rubio’s first trip was down to Panama, and I saluted him for it publicly. I don’t know whether he knew or he cared, but I saluted him publicly for it because I think it really matters what’s in our hemisphere, and it is a geopolitical flashpoint, and it matters in a time of crisis. I think that what you’re seeing now with the Chinese trying to sort of act in gray zone pressure-like tactics, it’s really a position of weakness they found themselves in. Counter to a lot of what the critics say about President Trump, he has methodically taken chess pieces off of their board. And so whether it’s the source of energy going after the ghost fleets that have supplied them with discounted oil out of Venezuela and the Caribbean, but also the vicinity around Iran, their options are dwindling. Now, they used to be able to throw around filthy lucre to be able to buy banana republics up and down Latin America. And Panama is for now standing up against that. And so it’s the government of Panama and it’s also the Panama Canal where they are now reduced to have to try to compete. And so there’s no question in my mind that they’re going to try to accentuate that because the other checkpoints with the US and Indonesia just made a defense pact that is right on the Strait of Hormuz. The we have our Straits of Malacca, I should say, the Strait of Hormuz have been all over the news. Panama Canal, another one of those choke points. The U.S. is checkmating them on all of that and reordering energy flows. It profoundly exposes a huge weakness that China has. And those around Xi Jinping have to be a little bit concerned about it. I don’t know that he is rational enough to see it.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah. Wow. I mean, amazing. We’ll watch and see what happens. Steve Yates, we’re so happy that you’re safe. Everybody’s safe. SPEAKER 05 :
It’s his life mission to make bad decisions. It’s time for Florida man.
SPEAKER 10 :
All right. So first up, geez, a Florida man with a katana, a tiki torch was arrested after setting multiple fires in a state park per deputies. Jensen Beach. He was armed with a katana. It’s different. Usually it’s a machete. And he was arrested after he set multiple fires using his giant tiki torch. That’s not obvious. And he was walking along the boulevard carrying it while it was lit. He ignited multiple spots in front of people and set portions of a preserve on fire. They located him in a preserve literally with a burning tiki torch and a katana trying to light things on fire. And it showed that the moment, I mean, that the fire’s burning as they cuffed him. So obviously he’s, you know, he’s going to be going away. He’s in trouble. Florida man drove a lawnmower through a target in a botched TikTok stunt because things aren’t stupid enough. So let’s see. By the way, for the people at Yahoo, particularly Michael Andrew, delete your face. Go back to school and learn how to write a story because we’re not going to read seven graphs into the story to find out what the hell you’re talking about. So I had to go somewhere else. Two 18-year-olds were arrested for disorderly conduct after filming a social media stunt where you had a teen drive a lawnmower through a Target store on Saturday, damaging the door. And then his dumb friend recorded the incident. The other night, they used a leaf blower inside of a Culver’s and caused property damage so they could get clicks on TikTok. Here’s a thought. You’re 18 and 19 years old, the two of you. Maybe get jobs instead of trying to make, you know, pull stunts. It’s just so stupid. So stupid. By the way, seven graphs before they actually tell you what’s up in that story. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Well, not even that. They just don’t know how to do it. Let’s see. This is Kane. I don’t think you can fix this one. Uh-oh. Uh-huh. I don’t think you’re going to be able to fix her.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s got to be bad then.
SPEAKER 10 :
Never make a stripper mad, man. Her name is Princess Aaliyah. Of course it is. 23, she’s charged with aggravated battery, an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting an officer without violence, giving a false name for when she was being arrested. She got fired from a North Miami Beach strip club and then returned and literally attacked the manager with the literal stripper pole. Oh, my gosh. She the club is called Taboo. And they fired her because they said she fought with her coworkers and she just was bizarre. And so the manager allowed her to come back to the club and collect her belongings. But then she started running around, creating a disturbance, grabbed, literally ripped up a seven foot metal pole and began beating the manager upside the head with it. You can’t make this up. They did take her into custody. So there you go. That’s one for the week. Folks over at Burna Gun, as you know, I carry, I always carry, I have no problem using lethal force to protect myself or loved ones. But when that’s not an option because your rights are being abridged, whether it’s a private property or local or municipal restriction, you still have to have a way to protect yourself and deter any kind of threat. And that’s where The Burna comes in the Burna CL, which stands for compact launcher. This is they make different models, but this is the one that’s for this purpose. It’s roughly the size of an iPhone and it shoots chemical irritant projectiles that can deter threats from up to 50 feet away. And it’s made right here in the US of A. And it doesn’t care about gun free zone signs. There’s no background check. There are no fees. There is no licensing required. You literally order it online and it sends right to your house. And it’s a great option. especially for college kids who live alone or live away from home and still go to school, but they’re not old enough to carry it. You need to be able to have some diverse options at hand to protect yourself when your rights are being infringed. You can visit Burna.com. Again, it’s the CL, Compact Launcher, Burna.com slash Dana. Check out the Burna CL today. That’s Burna.com slash Dana. Ready when you are.

SPEAKER 04 :
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of the United States.
SPEAKER 07 :
As it relates to anything that has been said, certainly as it relates to the comment related to maximum warfare everywhere, all the time, in connection with the redistricting battle that Republicans launched. I stand by it. You can continue to criticize me for it. I don’t give a damn about your criticism.
SPEAKER 10 :
OK. Yeah. Well, yeah, he never has. So after. Oh, man, he’s. You can’t sit here and demand that Trump turn down the temperature while you’re like, no, I’m going to turn it up. going to turn it up, raising the temperature. I am the thermostat. I only go higher. You know, that’s not how any of this works. But they’re upset with POTUS because they blame POTUS. Of course, you know, you have another violent left-wing moron who decides to go and shoot up a ballroom. And by the grace of God and who tripped him, clearly, that didn’t happen. I mean, come on, guys. This is just crazy. This is crazy. Crazy. So I don’t know. I feel like they don’t really get to call and make demands as to tone. And this is, you know, we’re concerns redistricting, which we’re going to talk about, like, for instance, the, you know, law in Louisiana. I don’t know if you saw the way that those maps were drawn. They literally drew them just to have a black majority district. Can you imagine if that had been done where you would have Republicans draw districts for a white majority district? That would be racist. So it’s also racist when Democrats did it for black majority districts. And they are the way that they’re drawn. It’s like a child did it. It is ridiculous. So I, you know, I don’t know. The whole thing is. not helping. As we move, the folks who help make the program possible, it is our friends over at Relief Factor. SPEAKER 06 :
And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It’s time for Dana’s Quick Five.
SPEAKER 10 :
Guys, this is so gross. I don’t even, I was hesitating as to whether or not I wanted to read this story. An Indian villager dug up his sister’s corpse and carried it to the bank. so he could withdraw $211 from her account. It is on video and it is real. I dove into it. Jiro Munda, 50. This dude is 50. He ain’t no way he’s 50. He apparently exhumed her remains Monday because he went to the bank and couldn’t provide the necessary proof. And the bank is like, this dude is illiterate. Like, he literally has no idea the requirements. He carried her skeletal remains wrapped in a shawl down the street in broad daylight, dumped them outside the entrance to the branch of the bank in the… the capital of his, of his area. And, uh, he was trying to withdraw $211, which is a lot of money there. And, uh, the bank was like, yeah, this guy’s a moron. They’re like, he can’t understand the process that, you know, to nominate him as his sister’s legal heir. So he could access the money that’s in her account. That’s insane. So he apparently was successful, but the police made him take his sister’s body back. And under their supervision, they had to rebury her dude. I don’t know, man. That’s it. Somebody who was in The Voice, his Tesla veered off the road and killed him. That’s a sad story. And a jihadist planned a bomb in a Red Bull can for a Taylor Swift concert as well, according to The Times. We have a lot more on the way.

SPEAKER 03 :
Anya, how do you want to grow?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I’m also trying to grow my communications. I just became the communications chair of my school’s TA, student government.
SPEAKER 03 :
Hey, Brett, this thing about communication, how important is that? And how important is for Anya to continue to develop these communication skills?
SPEAKER 11 :
It’s so important. And I think today, as kids, you have your cell phones in your hands all the time and learn how to look people in the eye, publicly speak and talk to people.
