Okay, we are back. Hour number three, Rush to Reason. Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Joe, joining us now from Jersey. What’s going on, Joe?

Well, John, first a comment on that crash. The NASCAR driver has a pilot. He wasn’t coming in for a landing. He was attempting an emergency return. Apparently, he had some sort of problem. It was a twin engine. He either lost an engine or both engines. And he was attempting to make an emergency return to the airport, which is a highly, you know, when you’re only 200 feet off the ground.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s tough.
SPEAKER 11 :
And you’ve got very low airspeed, and you’re trying to make a tight turn. And by the way, the tighter your bank, the greater your stall speed goes up.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s why cars slow down during corners, which most people don’t realize, Joe.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right. So, you know, I’m guessing he either lost an engine or maybe both engines, in which case, rather than try to make that, highly dangerous tight turn back to the airport, you’re better off just picking out a spot and keep the gears up and just put it down straight ahead in a field or a golf course or even on a street because trying to turn back to the airport from 200 feet above the ground with very low airspeed. And by the way, you’re also in what’s called a dirty configuration. You’ve got your gear down and flaps down. You’re not aerodynamically clean. It’s just an awful, awful decision to try to return to the airport.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s too bad.
SPEAKER 11 :
The aircraft is insured. Let it wreck. But if you put an aircraft down on a golf course, yeah, you’ll destroy it, but everybody on board will walk away. True.
SPEAKER 21 :
you’ll all walk away so uh yeah and if you look and again not to you know not to pick on things at all jokes that’s not the point of this but if you look at the crash site and the you know smoke and stuff coming up out of it to your point in this particular scenario looked to me like there was plenty of places they could have actually put that thing down not going back to the airport but maybe i’m wrong john i looked at the same thing i looked i went on google earth i
SPEAKER 11 :
John, there was all sorts of open land all around there, and the pilot should have just said, okay, well, this aircraft is gone. The insurance company is going to buy us a new one. What they teach you is fly it all the way to the ground. Keep the wings level. Don’t stall it. And when I say stall, don’t aerodynamically stall it. And just fly it until it touches the ground. Right. And, yes, it’s going to wrinkle the aircraft and probably total it, but everybody on board is going to get to walk away.
SPEAKER 21 :
This is all that matters.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s all that really matters.
SPEAKER 21 :
They can make a new airplane. Can’t make new people.
SPEAKER 11 :
Trying to save the airplane has cost more people their lives. So that’s probably the mistake the pilot made, trying to save the aircraft and killed everybody on board. That’s too bad. So that was my comment there.

Yeah, that’s sad.
SPEAKER 11 :
All right. On to other things. You want to hear my quote of the day or quote of the week? Let’s hear it. You ever hear of a guy named Frédéric Bastiat? He was a French economist, died about 150 years ago.
SPEAKER 21 :
I have not.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, here’s his quote from 150 years ago. He said, everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. However, they forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone else. Good point. He’s right. Yeah. The state has no money. The only money they get is from other people. That’s right. So people who want to live at the expense of the state forget that the state has to get that money from everybody else.
SPEAKER 21 :
And eventually it runs out.
SPEAKER 11 :
Eventually it runs out. That’s what happened to Venezuela. That’s what happened to Cuba. It happens every single time. That’s why there’s been no successful communist states that have ever survived more than 100 years. All right. Stupid things. John, you’re going to love this one. And this is embarrassing because I believe it’s a Republican legislator. The South Carolina legislature has passed a bill at a committee that’s going to go to the vote in the whole state Senate to make it illegal for commercial aircraft to release chemtrails over the state of South Carolina.
SPEAKER 21 :
I saw that. I saw that.
SPEAKER 11 :
How embarrassing is it that we have elected representatives who believe that, not only believe that chemtrails are real, they’re getting ready to make it illegal for aircraft to do that over their state?
SPEAKER 21 :
When I read that, I just laughed.
SPEAKER 11 :
And by the way, and even if there was such a thing, unless you’re going to make it illegal to do it over Kentucky, what’s it going to do? Because the wind blows from Kentucky over to over to South Carolina. So anyway, that was ridiculous. Closer to home. You heard about the the the legislation Colorado was getting to pass on to a vote that would make that make it a requirement for every retail business owner in the county to report every incidents, every incident. I did see that.
SPEAKER 21 :
I did see that.
SPEAKER 11 :
So if a kid steals a candy bar and runs out the door, you have to fill out a police report for a 25-cent candy bar.
SPEAKER 21 :
Unbelievable.
SPEAKER 11 :
Even though you don’t know who the kid was, you know, just, hey, some kid in a green coat stole a candy bar and ran. You now have to, you know, what are the police going to do with those reports?
SPEAKER 21 :
Great question. In a lot of cases, probably nothing.
SPEAKER 11 :
And how much, as a business owner with four or five people, standing at your register, how valuable is your time if you’re the clerk or the manager that you have to start filling reports of retail theft for a six-pack of beer and 25-cent candy bars?
SPEAKER 21 :
Right. Makes no sense. At the end of the day, Joe, what are they trying to accomplish?
SPEAKER 11 :
Nothing. Accomplish is nothing, John. It’s one of those feel-good, you know, feel-good, we’re tough on crime. It’s virtue signaling, John. That’s all it is.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yep. You got it.
SPEAKER 11 :
Now, on the bright note, John, I sent you a clip, and there’s no bad words. It’s a 60-second clip, a black man addressing his school board, and he’s telling his school board the 10 things he neither needs nor wants from his school system, and I think it’s a great, great clip.

All right, let me bring up the sound, Charlie. Make sure that we’re dialed in and ready to go. Here we go.

…things that black students don’t need. Number one, we don’t need affirmative action. Number two, we don’t need equity. Number three, we don’t need to be pandered to. Number four, we don’t need you to dumb down test scores in order for us to thrive. Number five, we don’t need a school system promoting victim mentality. Number six, we don’t need the soft bigotry of low expectations as we have heard from other people. We don’t need, number seven, critical race theory or intersectionality. Number eight, we don’t need reparations or any more welfare states. Number nine, we don’t need to be propped up as the darlings of the LGBTQ community. Number 10, we don’t need white liberals telling us that they know what’s best

Well said. Joe, one of the things I loved, you may have missed it, he said, we don’t need the soft bigotry of low expectations. How bigoted is that to say, well, we have to have a different set of standards for this group of people? How racist and bigoted is it?

It’s very racist, Joe. Basically what you’re saying is you can’t achieve, so let’s dumb things down for you guys.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, let’s lower the bar because you can’t compete.
SPEAKER 21 :
It’s actually very demeaning, Joe, if you really think about it. Not only is it racist, but it’s extremely demeaning to another human to say, okay, I’m going to make things easier for you because I don’t think you can attain to a higher level.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, and I applaud that. And if you actually watch the clip, there were tremendous white people in the audience, and they’re applauding him. As they should have. And they should have. That’s the most uplifting thing I’ve heard from a black person.
SPEAKER 21 :
And he’s 100% correct. He is. And by the way, Joe, I’ve got numerous friends that are just like him, black friends that are just like him, that would agree with every single thing that he said.
SPEAKER 11 :

It is. One more EV. Now, I am not anti-AV. In fact, if my wife needs a new car… I think an EV would be the perfect vehicle for her. The most she ever drives in a day is 40 miles.

Perfect for her. Yeah.

As the owner of one, and my wife has one and does exactly what you’re talking about, Joe. Yeah, it works fabulous.
SPEAKER 11 :
And that would be my wife’s next car. However, there’s a time and a place for everything.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 11 :
And one of the places where I don’t think it’s the right choice is is in municipal buses that are supposed to run 10 hours a day.
SPEAKER 21 :
No, heavy vehicles, Joe. As we’ve known, and I’ve talked about this plenty not only here but on drive radio as well, reality is we don’t have the technology, the battery power, if you would, to really handle the heavier vehicles because the heavier the vehicle, the more power you need, on and on we go. In other words, you’re diminishing the effectiveness of having the EV at that point. So at the end of the day, it doesn’t make any sense.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right, and the colder the weather, number one, cold weather diminishes battery output, and number two, you’ve got to use some of the battery power for heat, which in a cold climate in the wintertime in these buses, we have a clip, and this guy, now, a little hard, he’s an Indian guy, he speaks very, very rapidly, but he’s the head of the transit union in Saskatchewan, Canada, and he’s telling the city council, you made a huge mistake buying these seven electric municipal buses at a cost of $2 million apiece, and they’re getting ready to buy 23 more for another $46 million. So I apologize. He speaks very, very rapidly, but he’s explaining why it’s a mistake.
SPEAKER 08 :
If you’re asking me, I’m not in favor of electric buses at all. It’s not for the Saskatchewan weather. For the winter, their battery dies very quickly, and they can just run for two, three hours, that’s all. That’s very interesting. If we cut electric buses, got rid of that fleet to maintain services, would you be happy with that from the new president? I would be happy with that. Before, we were happy with electric buses also, and we haven’t seen them on the road there because it will save some fuel, we were thinking, and it’s going with the environment there. We were happy with that. But now when we see after two hours of drive, their battery comes to 15%. Oh, wow. Didn’t even know that. It’s on Facebook everywhere. Last Friday, there was four buses. Four buses we have to change off with a 15% battery.
SPEAKER 07 :
The electric bus question. 143 buses, I think, in the fleet, 20 of them electric. Diesel’s pretty expensive. Is there any reason why we couldn’t use the buses that don’t use the gas in the fall, spring, and summer for fuel savings and just use the diesel ones in the winter when the electric ones suck?
SPEAKER 08 :
We haven’t tried in summer yet. We have to wait until summer now for the electric buses. This is the first time we got during the wintertime. I think with the one charge, the maximum, how many, 200 kilometres they can go with one charge, full charge? So we are spending money on electricity there too, right? If we’re saving on fuel, we’re spending on electricity, and we can’t rely on them. Whether diesel buses, we have a sign, we know that it will go this long. Electric buses, no. And especially in winter, a big no.
SPEAKER 21 :
So in other words, they don’t work.
SPEAKER 11 :
They don’t work, and they’re $2 million a pop, and you can buy a standard fuel.
SPEAKER 21 :
And he didn’t even get into that. I wish he would have said something. Maybe they did. The clip is just a minute long. Maybe he did eventually get into the fact that, wait a minute, time out. Let’s do the math on this. You’re talking about saving money on fuel. Okay, well, that’s all fine and dandy, but the bus cost. from the $2 million down to what a regular municipal bus would cost, Joe, you know, a city-type bus. About $200 or $250. Yeah, I was going to say $2 to $250, a quarter million bucks versus a million. Well, you could buy four regular buses for the price of one EV.
SPEAKER 11 :
Eight, John, eight at $250 a piece.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, $2 million. Sorry, you’re right. Yeah, that’s right. Eight, sorry, yes, you’re exactly right.
SPEAKER 11 :
You could buy eight diesel buses for the price of one EV.
SPEAKER 21 :
And or a lot of fuel, one of the two.
SPEAKER 11 :
Or a lot of diesel fuel. So just, you know, another stupid thing, and If you watch it, but the city council has gone, despite all of this input and feedback that the seven buses you’ve already bought are a disaster in our winter climate, they’re going to go ahead and buy 23 more.
SPEAKER 21 :
Joe, and I’m not just trying to be honest here, why the disconnect with some of these city council people and so on on a topic like this, where you literally have got proof that these are not working, they’re not effective, and he gave all the reasons a moment ago as to why they’re not, why then do they move forward with buying them?
SPEAKER 11 :
John, I’m always baffled, you know, at Sometimes I think, and we talk about left brain, right brain, and logic versus emotion. I think they become committed to a goal, and rational thought gets pushed aside by emotion and virtue signaling that we’ve got to go green. Somebody once said, it’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they’ve been fooled. I think it was Mark Twain who said, it’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they’ve been fooled. And I think in many cases you get like these city councils. They’ve been fooled that – or they’ve drank the Kool-Aid, the Biden Kool-Aid, that you’ve got to go all electric. And once they become committed to it, it’s really, really tough to get them to change their mind because that means they would have to admit that they were wrong. And maybe that’s it. They don’t want to admit that they were wrong on the initial decision.
SPEAKER 21 :
You know, Joe, I don’t know that I can argue with you on that because they’re bound to determine that they’re going to be right. In this case, it’s not their money. It’s actually taxpayer money. But, I mean, at the end of the day, I would look at it as though it were my money I was spending. But that’s not necessarily how a lot of these council people view things. And at the end of the day, you know, they don’t care about the money. They want to be right at the end of the day.
SPEAKER 11 :
They want to be right, and God forbid they admit they go on record as being wrong.
SPEAKER 21 :
I can’t deny that, by the way. I think you’re spot on with that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yep. John, I didn’t get a chance to call in on Wednesday, health and wellness, but I don’t know if you read, there was a study that just came out that said when you look at things like diet and exercise, one thing that is more important and has a bigger impact on your life expectancy than diet and exercise is the quality of your sleep. I don’t know if you saw that.
SPEAKER 21 :
I didn’t, but that would make sense. I’ve interviewed enough sleep experts that would resonate that. So, yeah, I think a lot of them would say exactly that.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I would have thought diet and exercise would have come in higher, but they say no. quality of sleep and getting enough sleep tops the list. But I also found, by the way, that if you’re only getting like six hours a night during the week, you can make up for it by getting 10 hours, you know, 10 hours on the weekend.
SPEAKER 21 :
And that’s one where I’ve interviewed some folks even, and they say the same thing you do, although I’ve read other studies, Joe, where they’ll tell you that you can’t borrow and or bank sleep. So honestly, personally speaking, I don’t see it that way. I’m a guy that lives on six, seven hours a night every night. I don’t get the 10 hours on the weekend ever and, frankly, don’t need it. So I’m probably the worst example or the worst person to ask because I don’t ever bank sleep or catch up, if you would.
SPEAKER 11 :
John, once you get old like you and I, we need less sleep. But if you’re in your 30s and 40s, I think that’s where you’re going to need seven or eight instead of six or seven. Because I do just fine like you on six or seven. But you and I are old, John.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, yeah. I guess for me being self-employed all my life, Joe, I don’t know if I’ve ever lived on eight. It’s always been tough for me to get a full eight in just knowing what, you know, having to do what I do on a regular basis. And then even on the weekends, I’m just one where I’ve learned through the years. And one of my routines is keep a routine. So if I’m up at a certain time every day, I might sleep in a half an hour or so on a Sunday. But, yeah, I’m still up early on a Sunday. It doesn’t change.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yep. Well, you and me both, John. And I guess that comes from 25 years of having horses. Horses need to be fed when the sun comes up. And, John, when the sun’s up, they don’t care what the clock says.
SPEAKER 21 :
No, they don’t know daylight saving time or not. They’re just up whenever they want to be according to the sun, and that’s what they do.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yep. So, John, for 25 years of getting up and feeding horses in the morning, I just – I struggle to sleep till 5 a.m. It’s just a real struggle for me.
SPEAKER 21 :
Hey, I didn’t preview you on this, but did you watch Trump’s speech at all last night? I didn’t watch it last night, but I did watch it this morning because I didn’t have a chance to watch it last night.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, Jim, it’s painful for me to watch most of his speeches. That’s why I just prefer to read the recaps. I am disappointed in most of his speeches.
SPEAKER 21 :
And I saw some commentary last night on his speech, and then after watching it, I will say this. There are some people out there, the Matt Walshes of the world, that were really criticizing him on it being one of his worst speeches ever. And frankly, Joe, I didn’t see it that way. I mean, would I have changed a few things around and done some things differently? Yeah, I’m not him. I’m not his speechwriters either. But I don’t think all in all, Joe, it was that bad.
SPEAKER 11 :
And from what I gather, John, I read both Fox News and MSNBC. And I agree with you. It was not that terrible from the recaps I read, and I’ve listened to a few 60-second clips. I didn’t think it was one of his worst speeches. Now, when he goes off the deep end, like with his Rob Reiner comments, I’m just shaking my head.
SPEAKER 21 :
Just can’t you just shut up? Yeah, I wouldn’t. Well, you guys all know I’ve talked about that during the week. I wouldn’t have done that.
SPEAKER 11 :
But no, I didn’t.
SPEAKER 21 :
Bad idea. That was a total bad idea to do what he did there. But yeah, for those of you listening, and I didn’t get a chance to get into it because we got to talking about the power outages and so on here in Colorado. But there is some prominent people like the Matt Walshes of the world really coming down hard on Donald Trump. It was the worst speech ever, this, that, and the other. I mean, I don’t know what these people, Joe – are expecting in and I’ve heard even say you know I want him to do what I voted for what time out you know you all forget especially come when it comes to the economy there’s one huge piece of the pie that as much as Donald Trump would love to control this piece of the pie he doesn’t in fact this piece of the pie has become very antagonistic against this particular ministration show and that’s the Fed if you get the Fed on your side and really get them working well with interest rates and so on it Everything would be different today, Joe, but at the end of the day, and this is the one disappointment I had last night, I wish he would have pointed that out. Not directly at Jerome Powell, but basically saying, listen, if I would have had the Fed cooperation that the last administration had, we’d have a different economy today. He should have said that.
SPEAKER 11 :
He should have. And as you and I have talked, you and I and Andy, Republicans and the president as a whole do a terrible job of messaging.
SPEAKER 21 :
Oh, we suck at it.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, we create a vacuum. We just suck at it. You know, nature pours a vacuum, and when you create a vacuum, the other side steps in with their narrative. And that was another, as you pointed out, that was another chance. that Trump had to put a stake in the ground. But, no, he left the door open.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, you could have literally said, you know, listen, guys, there’s a lot of things. He did say this. There’s a lot of things we’ve implemented. You’re going to start seeing some results of those over the next several months. He could have said right then and there, and by the way, if I had the same cooperation from the Fed that the last administration had, we’d be much further along even in those things that I’ve already implemented. So wait until May. There’s going to be a big change at the Fed then, and man alive are things going to rock and roll after that. That’s all he would have had to say.
SPEAKER 11 :
Could have, would have, should have, John, but as usual, you know, it’s a swing and a miss. Swing and a miss. Swing and a miss.

Always a joy to hear from you and appreciate all that you’ve done over the years here in Denver and on radio, and you’ve got a great history here, but you’ve also got something else that you’re involved in that you’re here to talk about.

Yes, exactly. I’m kind of semi-retired now, John. I just finished my 14th year doing the Rockies on the radio, and and looking for other ventures, and I ventured and pivoted into a non-profit, a Christian non-profit that serves adults with disabilities, and couldn’t be happier. Loving it. I feel like this is where God is calling me.

Well, that is awesome. Okay, so first off, explain the ministry, how it works, how can folks get involved, and so on.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yep. It’s called Best Day Ministries. So it’s really kind of threefold. They have an online market for adults with disabilities to put their products on there that they make themselves and sell them both locally in a store and as well as on the internet and doing that nationally, really internationally. They have a coffee shop, which is kind of their crown jewel, John, a coffee shop in Longmont, Colorado called Best Day Coffee and Crepes. And then they have a church service every once a month at the coffee shop in Longmont, and it’s a beautiful thing. They have adults with disabilities lead service and lead music, and it’s a really touching thing that I’m so honored to be involved with.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s really awesome. And again, folks, if you have a heart, which we all should, Jerry, if you’ve got a heart to help these sorts of individuals that really are trying to do things on their own, I guess that’s the best thing to say here, Jerry, is these are folks that are trying to do some things on their own, build some validity, if you would, in their own life by doing things in this manner, which, by the way, is awesome.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, thank you, John. That’s the whole reason behind it. The coffee shop, for instance, has employees, 16 different adults with disabilities. Now, they don’t all work full-time, but for a lot of these folks, and probably the majority of them, John, it’s the first job they’ve ever had. They’ve never had a paycheck before. And not only are they thrilled about it, they’re contributing to their own goodwill, but they feel like they’re doing something for society. They’re working in a coffee shop or they’re meeting people and interacting with people, and their parents are thrilled about it. So it’s a beautiful thing. If you walk into this coffee shop, John, I’m telling you, in Longmont, you will be moved to see adults with disabilities walking. running a coffee shop and doing it like they do. Are they the most efficient baristas? No, they’re not. But that’s not the point. And it’s just a beautiful thing to have these people feel like they’re valued maybe for the first time in their lives.
SPEAKER 21 :
I have a little story along those lines. There was a resort over in Hawaii that my wife and I went to many, many, many times. And at this particular – it was a – I’ll say their name because I think this was a really great thing that they did. There was an individual there that you could tell had some disabilities. And I had a long conversation with him one day. He was kind of running around, and he did a lot of, like, cleanup and straightening chairs and different things. And I’d seen him there many, many times because it was a resort that we’d go to quite a bit, Jerry – and finally one day i just asked him i said you know how long have you worked here and so that was that was the opening of the of the door to have a long conversation we probably talked for 30 minutes or so and you know i heard so much about how marriott had been good to him and how much he loved his job and he loved the people and the fact that you know gave him something to do and he’d been there this i’m not joking he’d been there 20 plus years jerry doing this so Hats off to Marriott, by the way, for hiring him in the first place. But hats off to him for being a reliable employee that entire time and just had the most wonderful conversation with him. And at the end of that thought, you know what? There needs to be more of that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah. That’s why I’m involved with this, John. I think so, too. And it really hits home for me. I have a three-year-old grandson with Down syndrome. And they have a lot of Down syndrome employees at the coffee shop and a lot of Down syndrome people that have their work online and Joy House. It’s called joyhouse.org. And I just can’t get enough of that. And I think about my grandson growing up and not having opportunities like so many in my lifetime did not have. I know a lot of Down syndrome adults that I’ve never done anything but stayed home all day long. And this is, like you’re talking about, your friend that is working for Marriott, and this one working for the coffee shop. And we see them every once in a while at King Soopers or Chick-fil-A. They’re great employers that way. That’s right. And you’re right, and I agree with you so much. We need to see more of this, and that’s kind of my function with this ministry is not only raise money, help them develop, but give some more opportunities for some more adults with disabilities like we’re seeing.
SPEAKER 21 :
You know, Jerry, number one, it’s a great thing you’re doing. Number two, it’s great for these individuals because, like us, by the way, I mean, they’re created by God just like you and I are, and they need to fulfill a purpose just like you and I do. And I think at times, and I’m not trying to be critical here because I don’t have a disabled child. I’ve got a disabled niece, so I understand a little bit about some of this stuff. Jerry, and I’ll just tell you straight up, the worst thing you can do for them is have them sit at home. They need to be out doing some things and being productive and building some of their own value. Personally, I think that’s one of the best things you can do for them.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I agree. You know, it’s so interesting, John. When my grandson was born, we didn’t know that he had Down syndrome. He came out of the womb, and we were surprised by that. Most of the time, doctors can tell. This time, they didn’t with my daughter and son-in-law, and I was shocked. I was like, I had these plans to teach him how to fish and might be a broadcaster and all that. That all went out the window, and then… When the word got out that I had a down syndrome grandson, I started getting people reaching out to me and saying, congratulations, and you’re into the ride of your life, and you’re going to be so incredibly blessed. And one of the things that people told me over and over, John, you’re getting at this too, is be inclusive. Don’t exclude your grandson from things that your other grandkids do. Include him in everything. And everybody says that. Trust me, just include them. It’ll work out. Don’t isolate them. And that’s what we’ve really tried to do. My grandson is loved by so many people. And I’ll say this, too, and I’m getting more toward Down syndrome folks than I am about just adults with disabilities. But you know what I found out, John? I want to live my life like Down syndrome people do.

One thing that I didn’t get to, just sort of brushed upon this with Jersey Joe is Trump’s speech. I want to go over a little bit of that because, again, as I was saying to Joe, I read different things and even had some things sent to me that, you know, this was the worst speech ever, you know, blah, blah, blah. And I’d listened to the speech early this morning. I listened to it. And I didn’t see it the same way. Now, was it as smooth as it could have been? Trump’s not smooth. Folks, if you’re looking for an orator, it’s not Donald Trump. It’s not in his wheelhouse. We already know that. So those that are out there, the Matt Walshes of the world, you know, I like Matt, although I don’t agree with everything Matt says because there’s a lot of times he’s dead wrong. He’s dead wrong on AI. And frankly, I think he was dead wrong on Trump’s speech last night. And again, I like Matt. We agree on the majority of things, but not in this case. I didn’t see it being as bad of a speech as what Matt saw. So he started out, Trump did, with immigration, closing the border, talking a little bit about Venezuela. That was factored into the speech in a couple of different areas. And really what Trump said was, you hired me to do a job. Close the border. Clean up things. Stop the drug trafficking that’s happening, the fentanyl and so on. He says, and I’m doing that. And he talked about Venezuela specifically in that way. I didn’t hear one single thing, unless I missed it. I didn’t hear one single thing about us invading Venezuela. That’s not what I heard. Now, there’s some folk like Tucker Carlson out there running around claiming that that was supposed to be announced and or it has been announced and that’s what’s going to happen next and so on. Keep in mind, the likes of Tucker and Candace both, they are clickbait hoes. I don’t know how else to say it. Literally, that’s all they are. I have no other words for it. I’m sorry. I’d use the other word, but I won’t. But they’re just clickbait hoes. And that’s really what Tucker’s become. I’m sorry, but literally that’s what he’s become. That guy goes down every rabbit hole of every conspiracy you can think of, and I’ve got to believe it’s simply for one reason, one reason only, dollars. Every click, every like, every share, every second of video that gets viewed, he makes money. And I’m to the point where that’s the only reason he does what he does is for the money. He has become such a hoe, it’s ridiculous. And those of you that follow him, stop. Stop. You’re supporting the very thing I just said. In fact, I don’t watch anything he puts out. I don’t watch anything Candace Owen puts out. I’ll read some clips here and there about them because they’re not making money off of that when I do, but I don’t watch one single thing that either one of them put out because when I do, they make money. If all of us would realize that, not to get off track here, but if all of us realize that when you watch any video, something somebody shares with you, something you find on your own, something you share to somebody else, every single time you do that, somebody makes money. If you don’t know what I mean by that, go look up… You can Google it or use AI and just find out how do creators, how do social media creators make money? Just go look it up if you don’t believe what I’m saying. And it’s done through lots of things. How many minutes do you watch of their particular video? What are you clicking on in the video? Did you share the video? Did you like the video? Did you watch it more than once? It knows all these things. And these creators, which is what Candice and Tucker are, make money off of what I just said. And so does every other creator slash influencer that’s out there. And if you get up to the likes of having a million followers or more, in fact, if you get to 100,000 followers, you can make a living. You don’t have to work. I mean, that is your job. You are working, but you don’t need a regular nine-to-five job if you can become a creator that has at least 100,000 followers. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. So think about some of those that have a million, two million. I’m guessing that Tucker probably has a couple million followers. He doesn’t have to do anything, folks. That’s it. That’s his job. Become an influencer. You’re a creator. Become an influencer and make money. You don’t even have to do the podcast and all the other stuff that he does. You can just go put the material out and you’re good. Because people watch and share. So I don’t. Because I know they make money when I do. So if I want to hurt the likes of Tucker Carlson and or Candace Owens, which, by the way, I do because I don’t like either one of them. I think they’re bad for us as Republicans, as conservatives. So, no, I don’t want to help them. So in turn, I don’t click on anything they put out because most of it’s nonsense. Majority of it, by the way, is nonsense. So the other thing that Trump talked about is just how he is bringing prices down. And, you know, at first I was like, don’t go there. Don’t say that. But then the things that he explained that he’s bringing down have come down. Gasoline. Price of cars, hotels, airfare. By the way, because of oil, cars, gas, airfare is really integral to what they’re doing. But he even talked about how there are certain groceries that are coming down because over time they will with the things that he has done. He did talk about the $18 trillion of investment into the U.S. from foreign countries through tariffs and other means. He talked about something interesting, which I haven’t heard much about today in the news at all. He’s giving 1.4 million service members a warrior dividend. They’re getting $1,700 each. Nice little Christmas bonus, by the way, for those that serve our country. So, again, for all of the things that the Matt Walsh has said were bad in the speech, I really didn’t see that. All right, we are back. Somebody texted in, too, and said, do I think that Tucker and or Candace have pure hearts? No, folks. I’m sorry. I think they’re charlatans, both of them. Sorry. I’ll say it straight up. No, I don’t think they have pure hearts at all. I think maybe at one time they might have, and maybe they started down that path in the right manner. But somehow, someway, they either got wrong advice, wrong influence, hung around with the wrong people. I don’t know. I can’t answer that end of things. But I will tell you that, no, their hearts are not pure in any way, shape, or form. Anybody that is the… Israel-hating, Jew-hating individuals like those two are, yeah, no, their hearts aren’t pure. They’re total scumbag racists. Sorry, I’ll say it as it is. I have no respect for Tucker Carlson or Candace Owens at all. Zilch. That’s why I don’t play any of their clips. That’s why I don’t talk about them much other than the way I’m talking about them right now. I don’t play the things that they talk about. Truthfully, I think they’re both utter morons. I really lost faith in Candace when she went down the whole Macron, you know, the wife’s a transgender, which, by the way, at the end of the day, who cares? Non-issue to me. I don’t care that whatever the prime minister’s wife of France is a transgender. I mean, no offense, who cares? At the end of the day, that’s a non-issue. But, man, she went down that path hard. Yeah. hard. And she lost me when she started doing that, because it’s like, this is just an absolute non-issue. And then when she got into her whole, you know, anti-this, anti-that, anti-Trump even for a while, anti-Jew, she lost me. She’s totally off track. And frankly, just in it for the money, as far as I’m concerned. And according to Andy, I haven’t looked up her net worth, but she’s done very well financially speaking. So has Tucker, but Tucker’s done extremely well. And I do believe at one time, The early days of Fox News and so on, I think Tucker was pretty solid. And I think he had the right motives at that time. And something changed. He became a kook. I don’t know what changed. Maybe he was a kook all along and it just finally came out. I don’t know, but the guy’s a kook. And I’m sorry, folks. I’ll say this as it is. Anybody that believes in aliens and some of the nonsense Tucker believes in is a kook. No, I don’t believe in aliens. I’ve had this conversation many times with even close friends of mine, and no, I don’t believe in aliens. I don’t believe in other galaxies, other universes, other places where there might be life form like we have. No, I don’t believe it because Scripture is really clear on it doesn’t exist. So why would I go down that path? I’ve even heard, well, what if there’s another god of another universe? Well, what if there is? We don’t know about it. It doesn’t exist, and it doesn’t intertwine with ours anyway. So even if that is the case, I don’t believe it is. But even if it is, how does that affect us? It doesn’t. And again, I don’t believe there is. I believe in one true ultimate God, God of the universe, God of everything, always has been, always will be. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be God. So just to throw that out there. And that’s why I don’t believe in aliens and all this other nonsense that Tucker Carlson believes in. And I could almost do an entire show on how nonsensical it is to even believe in aliens. Now, some of you might. More power to you. You’re free to believe in whatever you want to. But no, I don’t believe in them. I think there’s all sorts of things that happen. Some of it might even be demonic. And people see things. Sometimes they want to see things. Maybe they think they saw something. I think there can be very, you know, demon projections and things like that where, yes, that can be very deceptive. That I do believe in, absolutely. But, no, I don’t believe in aliens from, you know, Martian from, you know, some man from Mars, Martian green man, all that kind of nonsense. No, I don’t believe in any of that. So Trump also talked about new jobs, the fact that he created more jobs in the private sector. In fact, all the jobs he’s created has been in the private sector. In fact, government has shrunk. By the way, that’s huge. And he did say, I wish he would have spent a little more time on this. He did talk about how that’s a positive effect upon the economy, not the other way around. In other words, when you grow government and government workers, you’re not helping the economy. It’s a net negative. I wish he would have spent just a tad more on that. He didn’t. But again, am I disappointed in his speech? The only thing I wish he would have done a little bit, you know, and again, Donald Trump just isn’t a really clear order type speaker. It’s just not in his DNA. His mind, by the way, he’s got a very high IQ and his mind is going, you know, 100 miles an hour. And I get that. And sometimes I believe his mind thinks ahead of his voice and in turn sort of somewhat garbles up what he wants to say. It’s why sometimes he’ll repeat himself and sort of go off on some squirrel trails, if you would. It’s because of the way his mind works. You know, the Elon Musks of the world and so on are very much the same way. So Trump’s not dumb, like a lot of people on the left think he is. He’s not dumb. He’s actually probably the most intelligent president we’ve ever had IQ-wise. And economically speaking, really understands the economy well. Now, I also feel like he should have done a better job, like I said earlier with Joe, when it comes to the Fed and explaining it and so on. He didn’t. But, you know, again, do I think all in all it was a decent speech? Yeah, I don’t think it was a bad speech. Was it his best speech? I don’t know that he’s ever had a best speech. He just doesn’t do very well in that realm anyways. It’s not who he is. All right, Dr. Scott coming up next. Close out today with him.
