All right, we are back. Hour number three, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. As I said a few minutes ago, retired Sheriff Mark Lamb joining us now. Sheriff Lamb, welcome. How are you?

I’m doing great, John. Thanks for having me on.

Oh, I appreciate it. Thank you for joining us, and I mean that sincerely. I’ve followed you for a while now and all the different things that you’ve done, and I appreciate your stance on so many things. I just appreciate you being here and having the opportunity to talk to you.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I appreciate that. Thanks for the support, and it’s an honor to be on your show.
SPEAKER 12 :
All right, let’s talk a little bit about the Trump administration. A lot, of course, even since we set this interview up, has happened since we even got this all set up, meaning what happened on Friday, where do things go next. You know, I don’t want to say, you know, Mark, that I was disappointed in the outcome of Friday because I didn’t know what to expect of the outcome. I mean, you’ve got a lot of moving pieces here. And I think anybody that’s out there thinking that there is any kind of a a stumble there on the part of Trump is very missed, very misspoken. In other words, I mean, it’s not just the way it is. Nothing went wrong there. It’s just a part of the process, the negotiation. Where is this all going to end up? I’ve kind of got my own thoughts on where things might go from here. But at the end of the day, I don’t look at what happened on Friday as any kind of a failure at all.
SPEAKER 19 :
No, I don’t look at it either. You know, look, President Trump was inserted into a situation that he is trying to fix. That he inherited. Yeah, and it’s a situation that involves other people. Like, in the end, you can do the best you can do, and two people may just not get along. And that cannot be on the dealmaker. I think that if there’s anybody that can put this deal in place and get something done, it’s going to be President Trump. I don’t think there’s anybody better, but in the end, it’s not… On him, he’s just the guy that’s trying to fix a problem that he inherited.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know what? That’s a great way to say it. Well, even Putin himself said, hey, if this guy had stayed in office, guess what? I wouldn’t have done that.
SPEAKER 19 :
Right. I mean, that’s a big acknowledgement. And Putin is exactly right. But he saw the weakness in the last administration. That’s right. And he took advantage of that weakness. And frankly, not just on this issue, but on so many other issues, the crime, the border, the economy, all of these issues, President Trump has had to come in and go into fix mode. And then people want to turn around and quickly forget who created the problem. Right. And they want to bring the guy that’s trying to fix the problem.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, they’re criticizing the fixer.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah, yeah, which is, you know, but that’s the American way. We forget really quickly how bad things were as soon as our situation changes. And that’s why I come on these shows, because I want to remind people that You know, especially when it was the border, that was one of the things I knew the best is like it was a complete and utter disaster. And just because it’s fixed now, we still have a lot of work to do to get this country back on track. And President Trump is doing the best he can. He’s only been in office for eight months. I think he’s done a fantastic job on so many levels.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, Mark, I think the way I would explain that is, you know, him closing the border was a lot like you’ve got this major leak in your plumbing and it’s filling up the basement. So you finally get the plumbing leak fixed. The problem is, though, is the basement is now plumb full. It’s about to run into the rest of the house. So the reality is you’ve got to somehow now fix all of that damage that has been done. That water has to be drained. You’ve got remediation. Then they’ll have to have you get my drift. I mean, the reality is it’s no different with the border, is it?
SPEAKER 19 :
No, and yeah, like I’ve been saying the same, basically the same thing I said, you can mop the bathroom floor all day long until you turn off the tub water, you’re never going to dry the floor. And we had, whether it’s the people coming across or the fentanyl, you can’t fix the problems that exist in the country until we stop the flow of it into the country. And he’s done a great job of doing that. Obviously, the optimal number would be zero. That’s a very lofty number, but that would be a dream. But we’re seeing the best numbers we’ve seen. We’re seeing one of the most secure borders. Now that allows them to work on fixing the issue long term, first and foremost, which they kind of did with the funding. Now we’ve got to get Congress and Senate to pass some immigration and some removal process stuff that they can put in place that will help the president out and make long-term fixes on that. And then we’ve got to continue to remove criminals from this country.
SPEAKER 12 :
On the situation going on in D.C., given your background in law enforcement and all of that, number one, he’s within his, with being D.C., he’s well within his rights to do what he’s doing there. And the fact of the matter is, Mark, you of all people know just how bad things have gotten there.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah. I go back to D.C. at least once a month, and I’ve been doing this for years, and not as often, but lately I’ve been doing it often. And frankly, I don’t veer off of the places I know to be secure. I don’t really go out at night and walk the streets. Why? Because I know the danger level. And contrary to what all these people are saying now, they also know how dangerous that city is. They tried to doctor the numbers. They got caught on it. And the other thing is it’s funny to see these people that have security details that literally go from one place to the next and never really actually have interaction with the public that are now trying to tell us how safe D.C. is. They’re not they’re not fighting against President Trump on his authority, like you said, but they are trying to say, well, it’s not as bad as you think. The reality is D.C. should be one of the safest cities in this country. It should be the beacon on the hill. It is what people see when they come and look at our country. And if our own capital, if our own house is in disorder, what kind of message does that send to the rest of the world? How are we going to fix Ukraine and Russia if our own front yard, if our own home is complete trash?
SPEAKER 12 :
Mark, I’ve said that before. I agree with what he said. I think that’s one of the factors in the decision he made to get things cleaned up, among others, by the way. But that’s a big one. And I never did understand, Mark, all the trips that—I don’t go to D.C. a ton, but I’ve been back. We’ve done some of the vacation things, took the kids, did the whole tour of all the monuments and so on. And even then— i just looked around thinking okay wait a minute this is supposed to be like the cream of the crop when all these tourists from around the world come here this this place should look better than anywhere else and i was i’m just shaking my head and this has been you know a decade ago mark i’m shaking my head thinking wait a minute this isn’t how it’s supposed to look and that was then i can’t imagine what it looks like now yeah and and the fact that we have to put up
SPEAKER 19 :
Fencing around our major buildings says that we have an unstable situation in that place. And so I think he’s doing the right thing. And I like that you brought up the point. Washington, D.C. is not one of the 50 states in this republic. It is a federal territory, and therefore the president has much different authority there. And I think he has proven time and time again whether he uses a law that’s never been used before. It is a law that is on the books, and his people are very intelligent. They’re very well thought out. And I think that they continually do things that the courts uphold because they’re within the law and they’re within the scope of what they can do from the executive branch.
SPEAKER 12 :
So important for you to continue to do what you’re doing along those lines. As you said a moment ago, just going on all the different radio stations and other platforms that are there to educate people along these lines, Mark, I think is really important. And given all of that, what are you doing now? How can we support you? What’s next for you?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, people are still trying to drag me back into politics, but I don’t know if I’m there yet. I’m trying to stay active in the border stuff. I’m a law enforcement advisor for FAIR, the Federation for American Immigration Reform. Great organization. You can go to the fairus.org. But I also launched a business with my kids. I’m doing a business called 10-7 Consulting where we teach law enforcement and veterans. We help them start their own businesses. We teach them about business. We have videos for them. We create a whole squad for them. The average police officer dies within five years of retiring, and a lot of it is because they don’t have purpose. And what we’re doing is giving them purpose and giving them control of their own fate after they leave this career. And frankly, they can do it even on the job. Why don’t you take us through what an initial visit might look like, whether that’s in the office or over a Zoom call or whatever that is. What does that look and feel like for one of your clients?

Well, first we kind of get to know one another a little bit, have a little bit of small talk. And once we move slightly beyond that, I often ask a question, what is your and your spouse’s greatest concerns as you move into toward retirement?

What do you think people’s main fear is when they come to see you and how do you help to quell that with them?
SPEAKER 15 :
Many of the people who come in have been listening to me on the radio for years. And often there is some event that the reason they want to talk to me. Maybe they have concerns about taxes. It may be they’re concerned about the volatility of the stock market. And so by asking them about their concerns, we can zero in specifically. Because usually people have something on the back of their minds as the reason that they came in rather than having a cookie cutter form that I complete for everybody. I try and dive in more specifically to what is an individual or a couple’s primary concern that brought them in the office.

All right. Interesting article that I saw the day. I don’t know if anybody sent me this, but it was fairly popular and it’s been pretty much all over social media. And at first. I kind of did a double-take thinking, is this really – there’s a lot of stuff out there. Is this really true because there’s so many conspiracy things, and is this really the case, and is this really going to happen, and so on? But this one is, and it’s weird. Let me explain first, and then I’ll give you my thoughts when we’re done. So this is coming out of Shang Tzu, I think is how you say it, China. It’s from Kaiwa Technology. And it’s a China pregnancy robot, meaning that they have engineered the world’s first pregnancy robot. It’s a humanoid robot with an artificial womb capable of carrying a fetus through a full gestation cycle. This initiative combines robotics and reproductive medicine to address infertility and demographic challenges while raising deep ethical and legal questions. That’s how this actually starts out. so in all of the images i’m not sure exactly the images of what actually will happen it kind of shows this robot with this clear pregnant you know womb where you can see the baby developing inside a real baby charlie says a real baby yes a real baby and i again i had to look this up because i wasn’t sure this was because when you look at it you’re like yeah no this can’t be this has got to be some you know weird ai thing or somebody threw this together now As much as I could look at, and by the way, I even used AI as a backup to the research I did to make sure this was, in fact, legit. And everything I could find, it’s legit. Now, if it ends up being a story that’s not true, I will be the first to let you guys know that this was all a hoax and everybody was duped, me included. But from the research I did, this, in fact, is the case. They are expected to launch a prototype next year. The estimated cost to have this pregnancy done by this quote-unquote robot is roughly $14,000, which, by the way, isn’t expensive in that world. In fact, it goes on to say that that’s significantly cheaper than human surrogacy, which can cost anywhere from $100,000 to $200,000. The positive benefits are it provides an alternative for couples struggling with infertility. It enables advanced medical research on pregnancy and fetal development. Could support demographic strategies in response to China’s declining birth rates. Now, the ethical concerns and challenges are the risk of undermining traditional motherhood and maternal bonds. Issues around commodification, and I’m saying that correctly, I don’t know what that means, of children and inequality of access. In other words, only the rich will have access to this. legal ambiguities about parentage rights and responsibilities and then of course the potential for misuse including the black market exploitation so this thing’s got a lot of ins and outs to it i’ll be straight up honest i i don’t know i i don’t even know where i stand at this point most of you would say well it’s pretty cut and dried you just can’t do it well not so fast Some of you may have known or have been someone that has really struggled to have kids. And you understand everything I’m talking about in regards to everything from surrogacy to all the treatments that are there. You want to have kids so bad, you pretty much would do anything you possibly could to have them. And in some cases, you do. So I understand that part of it. Believe me, I get that. And I understand the difficulties that some can go through. And when you can’t have kids, it becomes a burden in and of itself. I get that. Okay. I understand that. The question is, is this the answer? And again, folks, I’m kind of one of those where I don’t know. You know, can you keep these things from being developed and happening? I think the answer is no. You’re going to see more and more of this sort of stuff as we advance start to happen. Is this immoral in any way, shape or form? No, I’ll be again. I’ll go back to my example a moment ago. For those particular people that really struggle to have kids and don’t have that $100,000 to $200,000 to have a surrogate mom involved, that would be a struggle. They couldn’t do that. In this case, if you could get it done for a fraction, a tenth of that price, well, now it becomes affordable for some people to have kids that wouldn’t otherwise be able to have kids. And by the way, whether this story is real or not, just the conversation around it, I think, is worth having because if this isn’t real, it will be. I think, Charlie, I could easily say that. Whether this particular exact story, whether this KAIWA technology out of Shenzhou, China, is really there or not, again, everything I looked at, it said it was. Even if I’m wrong and this is a big hoax and it’s not a real story, I’m here to tell you it will be here. The moral dilemma surrounding something like this will be there. And is it right, wrong, or otherwise? And I’m going to be straight up honest, folks. I don’t know. I have mixed emotions. I mean, I think it would be one of these things where you’d have to really make sure that your checks and balances are in place to make sure that it is not abused any way, shape, or form. I mean, you’d really have to have stringent policy, even laws around how this – in America, anyways, you’re not going to get laws in other countries. You’re not in charge of them. But here in America, you’d have to have really stringent laws around how does this actually work, what would be all involved, who’s got access to it, so on and so forth. You literally would have to have some legislation. I’m not a guy for laws. You all know that. But this gets into an area where you’d have to say, okay, wait a minute. We’ve got safety laws, for example, how a car is supposed to be built. Some think that we shouldn’t. Others think we should. But the reality is we do. We have laws around how other things are done. We have codes for how homes are built, and electricians have to abide by codes, and so do plumbers, and on and on we go. So we have codes for basic things that keep everyone safe in the process. Would this be any different? I don’t see it being any different. I would say you’d have to have some really stringent codes, laws around this if it were to ever come to this point. Now, again, there’s a prototype launch supposedly going to happen next year, 2026. It’s not as far off as you think. If this ends up working, could you easily see these quote-unquote pregnant robots by 2030, which is four and a half years away? Actually, not even four and a half now. Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t know, folks. I mean, here’s what’s weird about this. You’ve got the whole abortion world that’s out there trying to kill babies, do everything they possibly can, don’t even show the mom. If you go to Planned Parenthood and you hear us talk about this with Preborn on National Crawford Roundtable, Preborn allows moms to go and get an ultrasound. They show mom the picture of the baby, and a lot of times that changes the mind of a mom right off the bat just because she can see what’s growing inside of her. And yet we’ve got Planned Parenthood that wants to go out there and just destroy lives by taking them. So when you look at this thing, well, wait a minute, this at least is the opposite of that. This is providing life. This is allowing people that can’t have babies the traditional way to still have baby, have a baby and be a parent at the end of the day. Here’s where it gets weird, though, because there’s a lot of things. I’m not an expert when it comes to pregnancies, but I’ve had kids of my own and so on. So the reality is there is a bond between mom and baby. Baby feels and hears and I think understands even a lot more of what’s going on outside of the womb while they’re inside the womb. Mom’s emotions, all sorts of other things come into play. Now, how does that work in this case? I don’t know. I don’t know. I’m not an expert. I do know that they have done studies in the past whereby they took orphan babies, just delivered, put them in the exact same room together. Half the babies got daily attention. They would come. They would cool them. They would hold them. They would do all the things that moms do with babies, pay attention to them, basically. The other half of the room, the babies just got their nutritional needs met. They were fed. Their diapers were changed. All of that was handled, but there was no additional love or support for those babies. The babies that had all the love and support, of course, flourished, and the babies that didn’t have that, didn’t have that quote-unquote kind human touch, they didn’t flourish. Meaning, babies need that human touch. We all do, by the way. It’s how God made us. We need that human touch. We need that interaction with one another. So in this case, where this baby is growing inside of this quote-unquote artificial womb, and that doesn’t exist at that point, how does that work? And I don’t know, folks. These are questions that I don’t think anybody has the answer to. Is it weird? Yeah. Is it so weird that it should be avoided? I would say no. Again, at least we’ve got a company and somebody out there that’s wanting life. They’re trying to create life. Maybe not in the traditional sense that we would think of, but they’re doing the opposite of what Planned Parenthood is doing. They’re granting life to people that want to have kids, whereby Planned Parenthood wants to take that away. So, again, I just throwing it out there, something to think about, something to watch. I thought it was an interesting story, mainly because when I first read it, I’m just like, yeah, this can’t be. No way. I wasn’t even going to talk about it because I just thought there’s no way. And then I thought, well, let’s at least find out if this is true or not. And the more studying I did, yeah, it is. So I’ll leave it at that. We’ll come back. I’ve got another half an hour left. And we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. A couple comments from the text line on that whole topic of the robot surrogate. My mom, just surrogate baby producer, I guess. Incubator. There you go. Surrogate incubator. Thank you, Charlie. And Charlie, we’re also wondering that at that price, do you like rent the robot for the 10 months you need it? Or is it just the womb that you get that’s outside of a robot or is an actual robot that has the ability to like maneuver around or… Is it just like an incubator, only it’s a womb incubator instead of just what you would normally think of an incubator? I got more questions than I have answers for, but some of you texted in and reminded me that there are certain Catholics, Catholic priests, and so on that don’t even agree with IVF, and some priests won’t even baptize a baby that has been born via IVF, which, by the way, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Sorry, I’m not Catholic, so I can say that. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. So you’re going to now punish the baby because medically speaking, somebody was able to help mom and dad have a baby, which there’s all sorts of reasons why things happen to where they can’t. Sometimes, by the way, it could be injuries. Sometimes it could just be the way those reproductive organs are working inside of a person. I’m not going to get all the details of that because I don’t even do that on this show, nor will I. You could do like a whole stinking podcast series and all of what I just said, not going down that path because I’m not an expert there. I know a lot of people that have gone down that path and have had to use that, and they’re great, fine, upstanding Christian people. So to accuse anybody of not being Christian or a young baby not being able to be baptized because you don’t agree with the way that mom and dad became pregnant, you’re an idiot. I’ll just say it straight up. Mr. Priest, you’re an idiot. Sorry. Again, I’m not Catholic. I can say that. Somebody’s probably judging me, but I’m going to make a hell of a bit of difference. I’m going to say it anyways. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Truthfully, if that’s your stance as a church and a belief, I feel sorry for you. I’ll just say that straight up. I really do. I don’t bash too many religions, Catholics included, but if that’s your belief system, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Honestly, I don’t know what the excuse would be, to be real honest with you. I mean, I can’t think of what an excuse would be along those lines. Yeah, they show these pictures, which I think are really AI-driven, and it basically shows like a robot with a clear stomach that’s showing the baby growing inside. I highly doubt that’s exactly what the end product would look like. It’ll be some sort of artificial womb, though, Dan.

Here’s an interesting question. You know how I talked to you and Andy about the preemie baby last Tuesday, right?

Right.

So if a woman is going to have a miscarriage and maybe they can save the baby, would they be able to put that in that artificial womb?

Potentially, yes. And from everything I’ve read about this artificial womb, I think you would have a great example there of one of the good uses that that might be used for.

Yeah, so that would be – then that would throw out the – well, the baby is going to survive, so we might as well abort it.

Yeah, in this case, yeah, thank you, Dan. Great point. I hadn’t thought about that. That’s a great point. That really gets rid of that whole argument on the abortion sides of things, because it’s like, wait a minute, no, now we’ve got technology where that baby could live just fine.

Yeah, so they can take it out and take, you know, remove the baby out of the womb that might have the potential of being miscarried or is going to miscarriage.

Yeah, great point.

But needs an operation. they might be able to do an operation on that baby, put it in the artificial womb, and bring it to full shrimp.

Dan, I think, you know, me personally, I think this just blows all of the whole abortion sides of things. This was the take I was moving to a moment ago, and I wanted to come back, so perfect timing. I was taking more of this from the viewpoint of this blows all of what the abortion side has believed in for years and blows it out of the water.

Yeah, yeah. So it’s just, they… The more I was watching Lefty’s Losing It, it’s a Skynet thing, yesterday.

And I’m like, I’m starting to agree with you that they have a mental illness.

Because you see some of these people that whoever the, whatever you call it, the person who hosts the show, She’s showing videos of these lefties, and I’m like, wow, these people are really out there. And are they totally there? I don’t know if they are or not.

I don’t think, and I mean this sincerely, Dan, there’s a lot of them that, no, they are not there. They literally are not. They’re living in a whole, they have been so programmed, and they’re so deranged. That’s why we call it Trump derangement syndrome. They’re so deranged in some areas that, frankly, they can’t think straight.

Do you think social media has an influence on that? I think it does.
SPEAKER 12 :
I do. I think not only, Dan, has it had an impact along those lines. I think you take that in combination with what’s been going on across the decades, 50-plus years now of indoctrination in the school system, and that’s all the way through from elementary school all the way up through college. You take that combined now with social media. Yeah, it’s a recipe for disaster.
SPEAKER 18 :
It is. So there was one other point I was going to make, and I didn’t think about this, but you know, in DC where, um, Trump, uh, called in the national guard, uh, and federal agencies to help out with the crime and all the Democrats and liberals are crying that it’s a, it’s a takeover and this is part of the dictatorship, but how soon they forget when, before Biden went into office in 2021, the National Guard was all over D.C. and they locked everything down. So, and they’re saying, well, they’re not here, we’re not used to it, that’s, you know, there’s more, we’re not used to the National Guard being here, yada, yada, yada. And I forgot about it, but they, remember, they shut things down and they had, they basically barricaded the White House.

So, so you have to, we’ll have to, it’d be nice to get images of, of the National Guard when Biden was going into office, how much presence the National Guard, and they didn’t complain about it one bit.

Appreciate you. And again, I think Dan brought up something, and I was going to talk about it anyways. I really feel like this whole topic, this artificial womb end of things, again, it literally, to Dan’s point, it blows the abortion, the stance of abortion, really kind of blows that out of the water. Because if you can now take an egg and a sperm, put them together, put them in this womb, this artificial womb, and have a baby at the end of the day, then it really takes abortion and turns it on its head. When I was reading all of this, that’s one of the first things that, you know, not only all of the other things that we discussed last segment, but now you throw that into the whole midst, and it’s like, okay, wait a minute. You guys that are on, you know, the abortion side, you don’t really have much to stand on given that you can now go, quote, unquote, rent a womb. By the way, I came up with that. I’m not trying to be crass or anything along those lines, but that’s what this will end up being is you will rent an artificial womb for X amount of dollars so that you and your spouse can have a baby. When you wouldn’t normally be able to do so and you’d be out looking for a surrogate, which for those of you that are listening, maybe you don’t understand this. There’s lots of surrogates. You hire them. There’s a whole interview process and there’s a lot that goes into it. And it’s very involved. And a lot of people do it for all sorts of different reasons, which I’m not going to get into whether that’s right, wrong or otherwise. That’s an individual decision has to be made. But at the end of the day, somebody carries that baby. to full term. And in some cases, the surrogate becomes a part of that baby’s life through various things and so on. In other cases, it’s strictly the contract is written and the minute that baby is born, they’re taken away, given to the folks that actually paid for that baby to be born, quote unquote. And the surrogate doesn’t see that baby any longer, which I would only – I can’t imagine as a woman the bond that is made there during that entire pregnancy. That, to me, would be extremely difficult to do. How you could go through all of that and then at the end of the day – you know, walk out of the hospital with no baby, I would see that being very difficult. It’s also why those contracts are ironclad, and they have been fought in court and so on, to where at the end of the, you know, it was all said and done, the surrogate mom wanted to keep the baby, because there’s that natural bond there that I think God puts in each woman, by the way, and because of that, mom wanted to keep the baby, and the parents that paid for all of this and had the original contract, all of the lawsuits start, And rarely, rarely, if ever, does a surrogate mom win because it’s a contract. It’s all fully written and vetted on the front side. And she knows what she’s getting into. There’s been a price paid and so on. But to the point of this article, it’s very expensive to go through and do all of this. This is as I was going through all of this. only because I think it’s a topic to dissect even a little bit further. I just threw this into my notes for the National Crawford Roundtable, which I’ll host this week. It’ll be interesting to get Bob Duco’s take on all of this, and this will be an interesting topic to cover. So I’ll do that on the roundtable. All right, I’ll come back. All right, a couple thoughts, which I didn’t know some of this when it comes to the robot surrogate mom. Maybe that’s the best way to say it, artificial womb. Right now, Charlie just confirmed with me that RTD, I haven’t seen these. I’ll pay more attention now. It shows you how much attention I paid RTD buses. But RTD is running a sign campaign on the sides of the buses right now advertising surrogates. So whatever that company is in town that does all of this stuff is actually advertising now on the side of buses to be a surrogate mom. $70,000 is the fee. So that’s being advertised as we speak. So my point earlier was spot on that there’s not enough of them and it is lucrative. So this article is right as far as that goes. Now, something else Charlie brought up, which I hadn’t thought about. Keep in mind, folks, too, that that there are a lot of women. whereby they’re just at risk for pregnancy, period, for whatever reason. Maybe they’ve even had a baby already and it became almost life-threatening. They were still able to go ahead and have the baby. They were able to work through it. But the next go-around, even doctors would recommend don’t do that. But they want another baby. Here would be… an alternative for somebody along those lines. So it doesn’t always have to be just because, you know, I’m vain and I don’t want stretch marks, so I’m going to go ahead and get a surrogate because, by the way, there are some women that do that, Kardashians included. So that does happen. That is why there are surrogates. It’s not always for medical reasons or because folks can’t have a baby. It’s because mom doesn’t want to look like she’s had a baby. That’s probably the best way for me to say that in the nicest way. So, again, all sorts of things that somebody basically, Andy and I talk about this all the time, somebody understands the market and is going to deliver a product for that market And we’ll want to capitalize off that market. The question is, will it work? And that is an answer I do not have. That is way above my pay grade. I don’t know. I think it brings up all sorts of challenges, which we’ve brought up here in the last couple of segments. But it’s weird at best, but does it fill a need? Sure, it sure does. All right, another article that Charlie sent me the other day. This comes out of futurism.com. MIT student drops out because she says AGI will kill everyone before she can graduate. Now, by the way, that’s being very extreme in, you know, artificial intelligence and so on. I mean, that’s got to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. It starts off saying it’s horrible for the environment. It used to be an excuse to fire workers. It floods the Internet with information and slop and entrenches government surveillance and appears to be driving people into psychosis. And so, at a time when many college students are dropping out to join AI startups, one former MIT student says she called it quits because she’s afraid of something altogether more catastrophic that artificial general intelligence, AGI, or superhuman AI will completely wipe out the human race. Will it? No. Will it in my lifetime or hers? No. To me, that’s somebody that is most likely not knowing where they’re headed in life and wants an excuse to get out of doing what they’re doing, and they’re just done. So she goes on to say, I was concerned I might not be alive to graduate because of AGI. Alice Blair, who enrolled in the university in 2023, told the publication, I think in a large majority of scenarios, because of the way we are working towards AGI, we get human extinction. No, we won’t. No, we won’t. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Now, I don’t know what side of the aisle she’s on. Right, left, or middle doesn’t make any difference to me. At the end of the day, that’s just being stupid. I predict that my future lies out in the real world. Okay, that I get. In other words, if you don’t think you’re going to make it in the college realm, like we talk about a lot on this program, then fine. Go get a different job. She says, if your career is about to be automated by the end of a decade, then every year spent in college is one year subtracted from your short career. I personally think AGI is maybe four years away and full automation of the economy is maybe five or six years away. It’s farther than that, by the way. But I also agree that if, and I’ve said this on this program, if you’re in an industry where AI is going to cut short your career, then I would be proactive and start figuring out something to do now versus later. Why wait for the inevitable? Figure out how to either work with AI and become a quote-unquote AI expert. Charlie and I were talking about this earlier. There will be a position for people that have to check AI to make sure that everything it’s creating is, in fact, what it needs to be, whether it’s a marketing campaign, whether you’re building a set of procedures for a business, whether you’re doing whatever. You’re going to have to make sure that AI is good at it, that there’s no mistakes because it’s not perfect. So somebody could become an AI, I guess you could call it a AI proofreader expert, maybe, Charlie, would be the way to say that. There’ll be jobs, by the way, that I think end up happening out of that. Again, with everything that comes along, every new technology, the same could be said of the Model T when it came out and Henry Ford wanted everybody in the world or everybody in the U.S. to be able to afford one. That was a game changer. Because keep in mind, before that, only rich people had cars. Or maybe some poor people did, but they weren’t the most reliable of cars. Henry Ford brought cars to the masses. And people didn’t like him for doing so. Horse and buggy companies, they were really upset. This guy is going to take all of our business away. We don’t know what we’re going to do. We’re no longer going to be able to feed our family. You heard the same thing at that time as you’re hearing now when it comes to AI. That’s what Henry Ford was doing. He was upsetting the industry. This is what AI is doing. These things happen on a regular basis. Just like there’s more automation at the checkout lines as opposed to having more people there. Some of you like that. Some of you hate it. Personally, I’d rather have the machine. I can tell the machine what I want faster than I can tell somebody else to tell the machine what I want. Just give me the machine. Now, I want the machine to work well. I want the interface to be good. I want to be able to find what I’m looking for, but give me the machine. I’ll take it all day long. I know I’m opposite of a lot of people. There’s a lot of people out there that they don’t want the machine. They want the person. I’m not that person. I want the machine. Because here’s the other thing. As an owner, I also understand that that machine over time will save me money as a customer. Because it shows up every single day on time. It does its job. It doesn’t require any extra rewards. It doesn’t need a pat on the back. It doesn’t need two weeks of vacation. It doesn’t have a sick kid at home. It doesn’t have this. It doesn’t have that. It works. Every day. No matter what. And will I use it? Every time. Give me the choice. I’m going there. Sorry, people. That’s just where I’m going. Because it’s easier. And frankly, it’s probably more accurate at the end of the day as long as you’re putting in the right information. Again, for me personally, not that hard to figure out. Within a few seconds, I can pretty much figure it out and off we go. Not that difficult. But I’m a guy that likes technology. I’m unique. Most don’t. Most hate technology. I guess because I’ve been self-employed for as long as I have, I’ve had to learn to like technology, use it, use it in a way that benefits me and my business, and I’m all for it. And if I can utilize it to help in any way, shape, or form, I will. I teach my clients to do the exact same thing. Do not hate technology. Embrace it and learn how can I have it help me grow my business. That’s how I look at it. So in this particular case of these particular students, there’s more than one, by the way, talking about how the whole world is going to be under extinction by the time they graduate. Well, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, by the way. Will the whole world be extinct at some point? Yep, we will. That I can guarantee you. Bible’s pretty clear on that. That one I get. But when? I don’t know. Is it going to be in a year? No. Is it going to be in 10? I have no idea. I do know that AI will progress very rapidly because it will learn at a very rapid pace and it will continue to get better and better and better on the same token. Is it perfect? No. And I know there’s a lot of people out there that hate me even talking about AI. You guys think it’s the devil. It’s the worst thing that could ever happen to mankind. On and on we go. Honestly, I don’t see it that way. And I look at it as it’s here anyways. You’re not going to get rid of it. You might as well learn to adjust and work with it and have it do as much for you as you possibly can when it’s all said and done. That’s my take on AI. So this whole article coming out of Futurism, these are a bunch of misguided kids, by the way, that haven’t had anybody really sit down and talk to them about reality and what’s really going to happen on down the road.
