We often wonder, is there anything that can happen to make Democrat voters stop voting Democrat? We already know that things can happen to make Republicans stop voting Republican. Thankfully, that didn’t happen this past November 5th, and we won. But I wonder if… The continual warnings from President Trump that what is happening right now in Los Angeles County was going to happen, I wonder if that resonates with anybody. Here we go again. Trump was right. How many times over the last nine years have we said Trump was right? How many times since he came down that golden escalator Have we said, well, he was right again. Here he goes again. He was right. He’s been sounding the alarm about these stupid environmental policies. Who cares about the smelt? You know what I want to do with the smelt? Put it on my salad for lunch today. I want to eat it. Who cares? Honestly. I want to meet one person in America who cares about the smelt. Because of the smelt, a tiny fish, an endangered species in… California, they’ve redirected water and dumped it into the Pacific Ocean rather than directing it into the land that desperately needs it in California. So it’s dry and brittle, and it goes up when the winds move in just the right direction. And now look at a 40-square-mile swath of devastation. And a lot of it because of the smelt. I’m not kidding you. I’m dead serious. I want to talk to some—we’ve got a big audience here. And I’m real fired up today. I’m frustrated. I’m not happy. Look, I don’t care what your politics are. I don’t want your house to burn down. I don’t want you to die. So far, five persons have been killed. Schools have been burned. I’ve been thinking about Dennis Prager, who’s in the hospital out there. I don’t know physically where the hospital is that he’s in right now because they moved him. I’m worried about if Sue is having to evacuate with Dennis from the hospital. And Trump is saying, look, I’ve told you so. And Trump went on Joe Rogan’s show like three months ago, three months ago, and sounded the alarm. This guy gets it right so often, and yet all they want to do is vilify and crucify and react and panic. Look, let’s be honest here. These environmentalists are destroying this country. They think they’re saving the country, saving the planet. Hey, you’re going to give me the global warming crap? Global warming ate my homework. It isn’t going to work much longer. People are tired of this. And they’re ready for this guy, who is soon to be sworn in. We are days away from President Trump’s inauguration. Here he was with Joe Rogan three months ago.

They said, we have no water. I said, do you have a drought? No, we don’t have a drought. I said, why don’t you have no water? Because the water isn’t allowed to flow down. It’s got a natural flow from Canada all the way up north. More water than they could ever use. And in order to protect a tiny little fish… The water up north gets routed into the Pacific Ocean. Millions and millions of gallons of water gets poured. I could have water for all of that land, water for your forests. You know, your forests are dry as a bone, okay? Yeah, dangerous. That water could be routed. You know, you could have everything. Not only dangerous, billions of dollars a year they spend on forest fires. And, you know, there’s a case with the environment. They’re not allowed to rake their forests because… You’re not allowed to touch it. And all they have to do is clean their forest, meaning rake it up, get rid of the leaves, get rid of, you know, leaves that are sitting there for five years.

Hey, Gavin Newsom, what are you going to say about that? Hey, Karen Bass, what are you going to say about that? That was three months ago. Trump has repeatedly warned. California, of the disastrous danger that was waiting for them. And now the chickens have come home to roost. Now because they don’t want to, and I want to know about the smelt. I’m dead serious. I am fascinated that there are people among us who sit around and say, I’ve got to worry about the smelt. What does the smelt do for humanity? What does a little fish do? I’m not trying to be a smart aleck here. Who gives a rat’s rear end if the smelt becomes extinct? What purpose does the smelt serve? And you know me, I’m goofy. I don’t know why I’m obsessed with the smelt. But as I’m reading about this all night last night, and this is touching close to home for us. This is not some distant, far-off problem. I just got a note from our buddy Pete Paquette in Orlando. It was forwarded to me. Apparently, Dennis Prager’s longtime producer and a guy we all know, Sean McConnell, in L.A., his home was destroyed. Larry Elder and his family had to evacuate. Of course, you probably saw James Woods, the actor, last night with Laura Ingraham. His whole neighborhood wiped out. I mean, a whole bunch of people from all walks of life. And incidentally, you know, some of these folks are rich. Sean is rich in spirit. I don’t think you’d call, you know, Dennis’s producer rich. You know, a rich guy, a wealthy, you know, famous guy. He’s, you know, known because he’s Dennis’s longtime producer and works closely with Carl Jackson and all of us regularly. So, you know, what is it going to take for voters to wake up? I wonder if the voters of Los Angeles are regretting their decision to vote for Karen Bass, considering the disastrous way she’s handled these wildfires. What a nightmare. Welcome in. It’s a national day of mourning for former President Jimmy Carter. The funeral service underway at the Washington National Cathedral. And it’s kind of fascinating to see all five living people sitting together, Barack Obama is currently engaged in what looks like a very intense and cordial conversation with Donald Trump who’s sitting next to him. It’s fascinating. Barack is there alone. Michelle isn’t with him. The rest of them have their spouses sitting in the pew ahead of Trump. President Trump is sitting next to the… the former and future first lady. So you’ve got Melania on the end, then President Trump, then Barack Obama. And I’ve been witnessing on the closed-circuit monitors that I have here, for the last five minutes or so, Trump and Obama are going back and forth and having what looks like a very pleasant, cordial chat, like they’re old buddies. Then next to Obama is Laura and George Bush. Then next to Bush is Hillary and Bill Clinton. And then the row ahead of them is Biden and Jill Biden. And then Kamala and Doug Emhoff. And Kamala does not look happy. She’s had a rough week. Look, she had to certify her defeat. She had to… Throw in the towel officially. But watching Trump and Obama interact, this is one of those things, one of those eye-openers where you realize that the people who seem to be mortal enemies publicly are privately anything but. You know, it’s like the old image, we long for the days of Tip O’Neill and Ronald Reagan fighting tooth and nail, and then they’d go off and have a beer together at the end of the day. So just kind of an interesting image, but again, the funeral service underway for former President Jimmy Carter at the Washington National Cathedral. Let’s go back to Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom. This is fascinating. Speaking of Donald Trump, President Trump has called on Gavin Newsom to resign. He posted on Truth Social, One of the best and most beautiful parts of the United States of America is burning down to the ground. It’s ashes, and Gavin Newsom should resign. This is all his fault. Now, as I watched Obama and Trump cordially interact with each other this morning, what kind of relationship is the 47th president going to have with the governor of California? What’s that going to look like? What’s going to happen there? How does that even work? Because Newsom is going to rely on Trump’s government to provide federal aid to the victims of the California wildfires. Hard to know how that’s even going to play out. Is Trump going to deny the aid? It’s not the residents’ fault. Even if they voted for Newsom or Karen Bass. How about this Karen Bass? So she goes off to Ghana. And I heard today that she declared a national state of emergency for Los Angeles and then got on the plane to go participate in a political event over in Ghana. Then when the fires get bad, evidently they arranged for her to get on a military transport to rush her back to L.A. What did that cost the taxpayer? And incidentally, fun fact, Karen Bass was one of those piling on with Ted Cruz when Senator Cruz took his family to Cancun when they had an ice storm in Texas. She found, they’ve located a tweet where she was blasting Cruz for leaving and saying we should fire all of them for failed leadership. You can’t make this up. This is really, here’s what Karen Bass tweeted on February 19, 2021. These are her words, at Karen Bass LA. And I quote, Ted Cruz fleeing Texas in the middle of a deadly crisis, the ice storm in Texas, is part of a larger pattern of the GOP abandoning folks in crisis. We need to build a movement to kick them all out. Oh, really? Well, Mayor Bass, how was Ghana? Did you have a nice trip? Listen to how she stood in silence. She’s in a little ante room, and the door is locked. So she’s trapped with a reporter from Sky News. I’ve never seen anything like this. The Sky News reporter just tore into her while she stood there stone-faced. She didn’t say a word. Check this out.

Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor? Have you nothing to say today? Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today? Elon Musk says that you’re utterly incompetent. Are you considering your position? Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster? No apology for them? Do you think you should have been visiting Ghana while this was unfolding back home?

Oh, my gosh. And you know what? The reason she’s stuck, she’s on the jet bridge. And, of course, they’re going to whisk her away at LAX. And the door’s locked. And she can’t get out. So she’s pretending to be deaf. I can’t hear you. Excuse me. She’s just standing there. She doesn’t say anything. What’s she going to say? You’re bagging on Ted Cruz years ago for going to Cancun with his family in an ice storm and saying that we should fire people like Ted Cruz for that because the Republicans abandoned their constituency? Well, what did you do? Now, I also don’t want to project that she’s the smartest or sharpest knife in the drawer. This was a moment… She’s reading remarks about what residents of Los Angeles should do. And, of course, the whole purpose is to give them a website, a URL, you know, for aid, for assistance. Evidently, her aides forgot to plug in the actual website, so they left it blank on her piece of paper. She read the actual substitution. Well, let me just play this for you. This is astounding. This is the mayor of one of America’s biggest, most populous, most important cities in America, Los Angeles, California.

When the casket, when Jimmy Carter’s casket and the American flag came by, all four of the other presidents, as did their wives, but Trump did not. You wait and see. Oh, see, look at that. He didn’t put his hand over his heart. Even Melania had her hand over her heart, but not Trump. That’s all they got. That’s the best they got. And Biden’s supposed to give the eulogy. Oh, my gosh. We’ve got a new sheriff in town 10 days away, and I would always, always make time for one of my favorite guests. K.T. McFarland is former Trump deputy national security advisor. She served under President Trump. And, K.T., it’s great to see your face and have you back on the show because, my goodness – We got 10 more days to go. There are days when I feel like, can we hold on? I mean, Biden, with all of the executive orders on the way out the door, another $500 million to Ukraine while Los Angeles is burning. We have this horrific news. It’s like a gut punch, as you put it on social media, to say that there’s only 20 hostages alive left in Gaza. January 20th can’t get here soon enough, my friend.

Yeah, and what’s really sad is to watch President Biden just trying to destroy anything he can. to prevent Donald Trump from doing what he wants to do. If the American people have spoken instead of President Biden accepting that, what he’s trying to do now is throw as many roadblocks as he can in the way of President Trump, whether it’s, as you said, the aid to Ukraine, whether it’s to ban fracking, whether it’s to ban a lot of other things he’s doing with regard to energy permits, etc. I mean, President Trump is going to turn it all around on day one. But the problem is that you have to deal with all the things that President Biden is putting into effect now.

You know, Axios did a big deep dive today on Trump’s ever-expansive power. I mean, he’s going to start his presidency with a very loyal Republican Senate and House. As they put it at Axios, a vastly empowered MAGA-friendly media information ecosystem. Businesses are scrambling to make amends or improve cozy relationships. But on the world front, front, which you’re so good at. They talk about how Trump aligned movements are disrupting long liberal foreign allies from Canada to Britain to Germany, in part because of aggressive information wars waged by Elon Musk and his supporters. Can you give me the KT McFarland take on Elon Musk’s presence in this and what this looks like worldwide?
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, I think Elon Musk is the tip of the spear. He has shown what the new phenomenon is. You know, we always think of tech moguls as being liberal Democrats. No, they’re not. Tech moguls have decided that Donald Trump represents American ingenuity, entrepreneurial ability, and free thinking. So that’s, I think, one of the reasons that Elon Musk has been so quick to support president trump when no one else would he was out there when no one else would and then as he purchased twitter why did he do it because he wanted to have free speech and where elon musk has gone others have followed now when critics are saying well that elon musk has stirred up crazy right-wing nut to go support crazy white right-wing candidates in all these countries really you know you don’t think it has anything to do with the incompetence and corruption we’ve seen whether it’s in Canada, whether it’s in Germany, whether it’s in various parts of Europe, and certainly in the United States. There’s a reason people across the globe have turned away from liberal, globalist policies, because they don’t work. That’s why I think so many people, even if they don’t like Donald Trump, really like the idea of Donald Trump’s policies.

KT, I’m fascinated by the reaction to Trump’s musing about acquiring Greenland, Canada becoming the 51st state, the Panama Canal. I watched John Fetterman say, look… Stop the hyperventilating. Greenland’s pretty important to us. This week, Don Jr., along with our own Charlie Kirk from Salem, went over to Greenland. What’s your take on what President Trump said this week about those big, bold moves?
SPEAKER 02 :
But Greenland especially is really essential. American presidents are trying to have an alliance with Greenland, going back to Abraham Lincoln and to World War II. Because we had military bases in Greenland, we were able to win World War II because it protected the North Atlantic. There are three really good reasons to want Greenland in some kind of an alliance defense relationship with the United States. First, it’s the obvious one, the geostrategic position. It protects the North Atlantic, protects it from China, protects it from Russia. Any malingering illness that’s going to come across the Atlantic is going to be protected by Greenland. Number two, Greenland has vast oil reserves, and it also has something very important, which are called critical rare earth minerals, that they’re essential in any kind of modern communications, modern devices. you know everything from computers to cell phones is the chips you need that greenland has it we don’t have much of it china has 70 percent of the world’s rare critical um mineral supply if we can have some kind of relationship with greenland where we develop it then we’re really in a very good strategic position to use to do china and then finally If the North Atlantic, if the polar ice caps are melting, the trade route possibility of going from across the Arctic, going from Asia to North America, Asia to Europe, going across the Arctic, Greenland will be the route. That’s the stopping off point. And other countries realize it. China realizes it. Russia realizes it. Thank goodness Donald Trump realizes it. And to send Don Jr. over to Greenland, I mean, what a brilliant idea. The Greenlanders are very outdoorsy oriented. They’re very sportsmanlike. And to send somebody who is such an embodiment of the frontier, the outdoor spirit, as Don Jr., was really brilliant. And the Greenlanders themselves have come out and said, we want some kind of a relationship with the United States. Let’s start talking.

In that same burst of Q&A with Anderson Cooper, by the way, an interview that Anderson Cooper begins by saying, yeah, the fire hydrants don’t have any water. So can we address that, please? And one of the one of the Gavin Newsom quotes is, well, you know, the locals, the locals are going to figure that out. Not to figure that out. The locals, which gives me a burst of fairness, a burst of fairness on a couple of things. Number one, if there’s enough fire, if there’s enough fire and this is just you can see it from space, literally. Mightn’t the fire hydrants run out even if your area is well-managed? I don’t know. Just asking.

Well, it’s a fair question, but let’s look at the environmental laws and all of these goofy, woke policies that have led to this deadly situation. That’s what has to be fixed.

Will there be accountability? And in fact, here’s another honesty burst, another consistency burst from me. Whether it’s Ted Cruz, a Republican, a Karen Bass, a Democrat. When they gave Ted Cruz, holy you know what, we’re loading up into Cancun while we were all eating our neighbor’s livers. because we didn’t have any power in the refrigerator. God, it was terrible. So everybody gave Ted Cruz the old what for. I remember saying on this show, what, is Ted Cruz going to be climbing poles and restrapping wire? Is this a difference maker that… head that a u.s senator is not here for an ice storm so let me ask about and i guess mayor is a little closer to the bone closer to the community so it’s probably different so she’s in a west african nation of ghana for some you know trip of some sort you know is it does is there something magical about her you know being in la the mayor of la are you asking this question come on it’s it’s more than optics it’s

I mean, this is the mayor. This is not, you know, one of two senators in a state. I mean, I think it’s fair about— Or even governor, yeah. Or governor. I mean, these are the leaders. These are the titular leaders of their cities or their counties or their states. And again, keep in mind, she didn’t get caught unawares. She declared a state of emergency and then got on a plane and went to Ghana. And then, by the way, did you hear how she got back? No.

They used a military transport, she claims. So the taxpayers had to foot the bill for her to come, not only go, I’m sure, but I’m sure she went as an official capacity to witness the swearing in of the new president of Ghana. But then they had to get a big, fancy, expensive military plane to take her back. And she was in constant communication on the phone from the plane coming from Ghana.

Look, it’s a catastrophe for them. Right. Will there be accountability? Will memories be short? Will memories be long enough, I should say? And will I mean, because we all sit here and we part of the messaging that we deliver is, hey, California. Hey, Democrats, you have brought this on yourselves. When will you learn? I know. And will they?

It is still California. I’m reminded of New York City. Before we give up on California or New York or any of these blue, blue states and cities, do you remember when Rudy Giuliani was the mayor of New York? Remember when David Dinkins was preceding him?

And they learned a lesson in New York City, didn’t they?

David Dinkins, and they pivoted to Rudy. Remember, George Pataki was the conservative Republican governor of New York. There’s a reason for hope. It can happen. It might not happen, but maybe when people see their houses burned down and the miserable response from the left. Did you see a college professor tweeted out, James Woods’ home is burning down, karma is calling? Okay. How do you do that? And put it out on social media. I mean, everybody’s calling that woman out. Karen Piper. I’m going to join in. Karen Piper from Mizzou, who thinks it’s wise to take to social media and mock an actor, a conservative actor, James Woods, you know, his house burning down. My gosh.
