One day you stole me, nuncia vit Maria,
SPEAKER 01 :
At age 10, Father Andre escaped Christian massacres by living in caves in Mount Lebanon with his family. Today, Father Andre works tirelessly to encourage American leaders to keep God in the public square, defending religious freedom at home and abroad, so that all might live in peace for the glory of God. Founder and President of the Mission of Hope and Mercy, Father Andre has learned the secret to safety, joy, and peace. Love God and one another. Now, let us spend 33 minutes on the Lord’s Day, retuning ourselves to the truth of love in the hands of God.
SPEAKER 02 :
Praise be the most holy name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, now and always and forever. Amen. We triumph over all these things through Him who loved us. the epistle to the Romans, chapter 8, verse 37. Yet in that epistle also resides a strong professional faith of St. Paul in the union that is between us and the love of God that is for us in Jesus Christ our Lord. It reminds us a little bit of Psalm 44, in which we heard with our own ears, O God, our fathers have told us a story. of the things you did in their days, you yourself in days long ago. To plant them, you uprooted the nations. To let them spread, you laid peoples low. No sword of their own won the land. No arm of their own brought them victory. It was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. It is you, my King, my God, who granted victories to Jacob. Through you, we beat down our foes. In your name, we trampled our aggressors. For it was not in my bow that I trusted, nor yet was I saved by my sword. It was you who saved us from our foes. It was you who put our foes to shame. all day long our boast was in god and we praised your name without ceasing it is fitting my friends on this beautiful wonderful day in this early afternoon in some places and mid-morning in other places like here in lakewood colorado that you joined us in this special episode with irrevocable an episode that speaks about the unbroken the ones who cannot be defeated. Why? Because we have the Lord Jesus Christ with us at all times. It is also fitting that today we continue with the topic as we draw near the time in which we resume the celebrations in our liturgical year by entering after Thanksgiving and in the beginning of December into the season of Advent, the awaiting of the Maranatha, the Immanuel, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. that we speak about a very unique form of an extreme blessing, wonderful blessing, extraordinary blessing, a supernatural blessing, an authority which was given by the Lord Jesus Christ to his apostles and from them to the successors of the apostles and to the lineage of the priesthood in such an organized and ecclesiastic way. in order to cast out demons to adjure the devil and to free the human beings from all forms of oppressions, vexations, depressions that have any spiritual grip of the evil one against people and definitely in most extreme measures to free them from the full possession unfortunately This topic today we will cover with Oscar Delgado, a former NBC News correspondent and Latin American bureau chief, has a career spanning over three decades in journalism and media. Oskar began his career at NBC News, eventually becoming a senior war producer, correspondent, covering major conflicts such as the Bosnian War, which I will ask him a lot about because the Mission of Hope and Mercy has residence, a St. Charbel Mission of Hope and Mercy House of Blessing in Medjugorje, in Bosnia-Herzegovina. And then he covered the Gulf War and the El Salvador Civil War, the Colombian drug war, and the Peruvian Shining Path conflict. You know, these matters today in the United States are coming back to our mind. In the fight against the cartels, And the immigrants movements that has been happening across our border from South America, Central America, Latin America to the United States. Oscar and his expertise and his spirituality and his skills. And of course, in his journalist skills, it seems more than even though he’s a great producer. it seems he has great knowledge that he can share with us to shine a little bit of a light on a complex situation how to help the people and how to save the Americas to remain always the land in which Our Lady Our Lady of Guadalupe who in 1532 has appeared to Juan Diego and through him she blessed these new lands But also he transitioned later on into film production, serving as the associate producer of the docu-drama, Love and Mercy Purgatory. Love and Mercy Purgatory. He’s a producer of St. Michael, Meet the Angel. He is also involved in the cause for canonization of the venerable, the most reverend, Fulton Sheen, the bishop of the Americas, the bishop that we all love, to still listen to his old radios, to still listen to his old beautiful videos that we still see around and we can download from his pages on YouTube and other media. As a part of an advisory board, he works for the canonization of Fulton Sheen. Additionally, he has been recognized for his work in media, including a notable appearance on the Today Show with A Rocker, where a cell phone interruption became a viral moment that boosted publicity for the film. Another Oscar Delgado is a heavy duty vehicles program director at the International Council on Clean Transportation, ICCT, focusing on Latin America and India. He leads ICCT’s zero emission bus rapid deployment. accelerator, Zebra, partnership with C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, and has over 15 years of experience in vehicle efficiency, emissions reduction, and commercial fleet electrification. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University and an MSc and a BA degrees from Universidad de Los Angeles in Colombia. Oscar, I want to welcome you on this.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you. Thank you, Father. But that last part isn’t me. I don’t have a PhD. I’m the journalist. Everything in the beginning was me. But the other thing was climate change. That’s not me, Father. So I just want to make sure I don’t have any PhDs. I’m a war producer. All that stuff is true. But the other stuff is just not me. That’s all.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oscar, how did you come from this entire background, a beautiful background, a unique background, a background that actually sets you up to be a uniquely qualified leader?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, that’s a great question, Father. I mean, Father Andre, it’s… Well, I was always interested in journalism since I was a kid, and I always liked to cover, I always wanted to be a foreign correspondent. And so Mexico, since I speak bilingual, I’m parents of Cuban descent, Cuban. So I went to Mexico, began my own career, started my own news service called Latin American News Service. And then NBC saw what I was doing and they hired me. So I began very low to just work on the bureau in Mexico City and then all of a sudden they started to cover wars and then next thing I know I was the senior war producer and bureau chief for all of Latin America. So what was interesting, Father, on the secular journey, I saw, you know, the manifestation of evil is those wars, you know, the wars are the manifestation of evil on the ground. So the Lord, you know, kind of used me in that sense to cover and to see what happens when we turn away from God and we see these wars break out. So in Colombia and in Peru and I went to Iraq, covered that. I mean, all the different things that you saw, I think the Lord was preparing me to say, okay, I’m going to show you the wars, but then I’m going to take you out of this. And then I’m going to show you the cause of these wars. So the movie Triumph Over Evil that we just finished is the manifestation of what happens when you open the portals of evil into a society and it manifests. And that’s what happens. You have wars, you have conflicts, you have destruction, you have despair. And those are the things that my spiritual director said, you are now, God trained you, as you know, God trained us for our mission. So I was trained to cover these wars for many, many years. But then God took me out and said, okay, I want you to do movies. I want you to bring forth the faith and have a deeper understanding of why these wars come forward. In fact, my spiritual director, I’ve had him over 30 years. It’s an Opus Dei. I’m a day priest, holy priest, older priest. He says, you are APOA. I said, what does that mean, Father? You’re the associate producer of the apocalypse. You need to make sure. You need to go out there and you cover everything that’s going on. And now you got to do it for God. I was like, okay. So this movie that just came out, and I appreciate everybody that went out and saw it. It’s going to come out again. What I would do is go to triumphoverevilefilm.com, triumphoverevilefilm.com. They will have the updates. So working on the parish missions and also streaming. So those are the things that Goya, Goya Productions is working on to figure out what the next steps are.
SPEAKER 02 :
Oscar, when you speak, actually, you seem to think very well in every word you say, and it seems you’re a man who is in touch with the Holy Spirit. Before we enter into the depth of the film, A Triumph Over Evil, A Battle of the Exorcist, as a docudrama which you released in September 10, 2025, I want to ask you this question. What is your recommendation for the people who will be joining us now, live, is it true a human being can be touched with their soul and why is it important that we always are in touch with the holy spirit because i could tell from the way you close your eyes you’re true to yourself you’re very honest you’re very focused and you have a good spiritual presence in you. What do you recommend to our people who are listening to us?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it’s really important. I mean, the most important thing is to try to figure out what is God’s will for your life. I mean, that’s the most essential thing. Everybody has a purpose. Everybody has a mission and it’s unique to you. So in my case, I had to really figure out, you know, God’s given me everything in a sense. He opened the doors. I was able to pursue my dreams, but those dreams were to go serve Him, you know? So those listening, the first thing I would do is to make sure that you’re always in touch and pray to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is very important. It’s critical for these times because there’s so many options. There’s so many paths that anybody can take. So we really need to be centered. It’s like, what is it God wants me? Guide, ask for the gifts. of the Holy Spirit, the seven gifts, and to really be able to discern what is it that God wants me to do, because that essentially is why we were here to serve our Lord, you know, to serve Him. But to serve Him is to know Him, but to know Him is to understand what the mission that is given to each one of us. So in my case, and I’m, you know, I had the life that anybody would ever want. I mean, I had everything in all my dreams and um but i also knew that there’s a spiritual dimension that everything that i did there’s that there’s a spiritual uh context for everything that i did so for example and this brings us to this why you know for me it’s important to understand the spiritual warfare around us um i when i was um interviewing saddam hussein right before the Gulf War, it’s Christmas Eve, right? So I was chosen to interview him for NBC, and I went in. And you know, the thing is, Father, it’s really important for people that are listening that you prepare, okay? So not only do you need to know what your mission is, you need to prepare for that mission. So what does that mean? I was unprepared, okay? I did all the research I could about this dictator that I was saying, you know, his policies, all these things. I was prepared as a journalist. i was prepared as a journalist to interview this dictator however i was not prepared spiritually okay what does that mean that means when i walked in to that palace and i was blindfolded walked into this humongous bed they un they undid my pla my blindfold i immediately sensed the spirit of evil darkness it was christmas eve so I was not prepared. I tell your listeners, your viewers, prepare. So I went in there. I was unprepared. I could feel the darkness. When I saw him and I shook his hand, I could look into his eyes. There was no reflection. And I was like, okay, I’m in trouble here. I’m in trouble. I am not expecting this. So I sat down on that Christmas Eve. And when he began to talk about, and this made headlines all over the world, that he was going to attack Israel. I then, with rockets, I was going to draw them into the war. I was very worried, and then I began to cough uncontrollably. We had to stop the interview, you know, because I was just, I could not stop coughing. And I went into the kitchen, and then at that point, I remembered, I said a prayer to St. Michael. You know, St. Michael, and I said, protect me. I am way over my head. And then I came back in, I just calmed down, finished the interview. But at that point, I recognized that each of us have to rely on not only to be, you know, discern what we’re supposed to do, but rely on our Lord to tap into the angels, to tap into those patron saints that will help us in our mission, especially Our Lady. So those are the things that you want me to compare to your people, to your beautiful audience, is like use the who our Lord has given us to help us in this journey. So when I went and interviewed, Saddam Hussein, I was unprepared, but I remembered to pray to St. Michael. I was able to do the interview. So that taught me a lesson. No matter what you do, be prepared, even in the secular world. You know, if you have a meeting with your boss, ask your guardian angel to go before you and talk to his guardian angel or be prepared and be prepared spiritually for the mission. That’s what I would say to your audience.
SPEAKER 02 :
so in your discovery of this journey through the battlefields through the discovery of the violence that happens in wars you notice there is a spiritual dimension in violence right i think right before i was born during the war in lebanon and it seems like people don’t get that the bomb doesn’t hit you and you think that who dropped that bomb the bomb has like almost like it’s it’s a dimension of a demonic presence almost you know exactly the bomb back away when I was a child. It was a Sunday morning. I was supposed to go to the Holy Mass. My parents wanted me to go do exercise. I was sick because we lived underground. From time to time, we had to hide in a cave. And I was exposed to a lot of molds and a lot of issues. And really, we were deep in land and in earth, in a cave, like literally in cave. I did deep many nights, many months inside the tomb that is inside the rock, like a total finishing tomb of that son. And it obviously affected my health. So that Sunday morning, my parents wanted me to walk. I was having severe reactions and the allergies. And instead, I wanted to go to the church. So I fought with my mom and dad. I took the plastic blue rosary beads with me. And I came out of the house, and I wanted to go sit in a deserted old Mercedes car, 1960-something, 1967 car was for my dad that we always kept, and we used it as our airplane. We used it as our spaceship where the kids used to play in that deserted car basically in the middle of nowhere. As I come out, the bomb drops on the car.
SPEAKER 1 :
255.
SPEAKER 02 :
It drops on the car, and I’m standing, and I’m trying to walk. The only thing I’m telling you, the experience of that, I knew I was in the midst of fire of some sort of… bad, some sort of evil. My bones almost left my body. And I mean it. And it’s chilling to think about it. And I kept seeing a flash of light that going through me. And then I heard the sounds of shells coming across. And then the earth started falling from on top of me. Like, after that, I heard the bomb. Not before. after that i heard the bomb and of course everybody thought i am i am dead and right when uh when i came back and i saw that no scratch happened to me minor things and dust and dirt and stuff like that i realized immediately as if in manifestation i was face to face with satan That bomb, and I say it, and I was like seven, eight years old, right? I knew that was enemy, but I did not think about the enemy who dropped the bomb. I knew there was a Satan who tried to take my life. So I wonder if your experience during the wars, you said your meeting with Saddam Hussein, which I love. I’d like to hear a little bit more about your encounter on a human level. Have you tried to reach to his soul? Could you see that there is an obstacle that is inhumane obstacle sometimes that could completely put a distance a wall of separation between you and him. And what is your message for the people who advocate for wars, actually?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think that they’re being guided by the satanic with the darkness. You know, I mean, you know, Christ is a prince of peace, not the prince of war. You know, yes, there are times when we use justice, but, and he’s all about love and trying to, you know, bring people together, not destroy one another. So, and when I met Saddam, yes, there was evil. There was an evil presence. I mean, looking into his eyes and not seeing a reflection, but seeing two holes, That’s scary. That’s a barrier. When I’m interviewing him, I can just sense the presence of evil. That is something that I’ve never… And I’ve interviewed other dictators. I’ve interviewed Fidel Castro, Solomon Milosevic, many dictators I’ve interviewed. But this is the first time the pervasive level of evil was just overwhelming. It was overwhelming the evil when I interviewed him. So there is a sense that when you go into those situations that you can tell. I mean, if you’re someone with a spiritual radar, you know what you’re encountering. You know, as you did, you know, you kind of just went to the car. You were going to go to the car and you wanted to have your rosary. But, you know, there’s something when that explosion, you came face to face with Satan. You came face to face with evil. You understood it. You understood it as I did when I sat down and started to use Saddam Hussein. You just know those that have developed a spiritual understanding, a spiritual radar, you have an understanding. You have an understanding about what is going on. You know what I mean? So I think it’s really critical that all of us, in my encounters anyway, in your encounters, really need to develop that skill set. know and how do you do that you pray the holy spirit you have devotion to the angels um obviously you know your your normal daily rosary all those different things help you develop those skill sets to help you navigate the evil that’s around us i mean that’s just the truth that’s all i really encourage a man of prayer when you were covering those um walls and i want to ask you about latin america as well and yes
SPEAKER 02 :
Were you a man of prayer?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, I was a man of prayer. But let me just tell you that when you start covering words, you become a man of deeper prayer. So it’s like, oh, I’m a man of prayer, but oh, I’m going to be praying a lot harder. And so once you become more, in fact, New York, I was reported to New York. Our headquarters is New York. and i said you know what on sundays i want an hour off because i want to go to mass so they understood to leave me alone no matter what situation it was they would leave me alone to do so i could go to mass you know do the things that are necessary for me to continue so yes i was a man of prayer but i could tell you as the years went by i became a man of more prayer because i knew that You know, I could understand as you have the manifestation of evil. What does that say? Well, that means you have to be more fortified with the Lord to be able to combat this evil. I mean, we know who wins at the end, but we also know that we have to exercise that those skill sets to be able to combat it. It’s like I saw people like if you want to run a marathon, you know, you need to train, you know, your whole life or for many months or for many years to run the full marathon. You just don’t get up one morning and say, I’m going to run a marathon. No, you have to train and that’s what we’re dealing with. We’re dealing with spiritual warfare, battle and everything that we do, but we need to train for it and we need to move forward with it.
SPEAKER 02 :
Let’s go a little bit to the specifics of how evil manipulates leaders or evil manipulates nations. What is your take on You know, usually there is a National Security Council, there is a military cabinet for every president, for every king, for every despot probably, every republic, every sort of regime, when they plan and they plan for wars. And the wars in the Gulf, and the wars in Colombia, and the wars in South America in general, the wars of Bosnia. Did you see any just war?
SPEAKER 03 :
they’re all unjust i mean like for example let’s take colombia i cover that all the time the the drug cartel works i mean the issue is the inequality you know the inequity of people and people try to get ahead using drugs and a lot of these politicians are paid off i mean it is sad but you know the other thing is we have to remember that we also have capability here in this country that we have a hunger for drugs i mean there would be no drugs market if the Americans, if we did not have this appetite, this unsatiable appetite to take drugs, whether it be methamphetamines or cocaine or whatever. So understand, if there was no market for drugs, there’d be no drugs, right? So that’s the thing that we have to remember. We ourselves have a culpability in feeling that because we unfortunately are a nation that have a lot of addicts, you know? So I don’t know why there’s not been a campaign to say, you know, every time you purchase an illegal drug, every time you are adding to the misery of those people around the country, especially in Latin America, who are targeted in a sense for our drug habits. You see what I’m saying? Well, there’s a connection. There’s a connection between those things and we have our own responsibility. So it’s really critical that we recognize that. So, and at least in Latin America, There’s a lot of money that’s being sent around. In Mexico and Colombia and everything, money talks, you know? And there’s a famous saying in Mexico, it says basically, , which basically means with money, the dog dances. So understand that that’s the feeling of what happens because there is so much poverty. So I would say the wars that you talked about, well, all the wars are unjust, in my opinion, unless it’s something that is permitted under the St. Augustine doctrine of the war or those other things, if you’re invaded or something. But they’re internal struggles, and the money is the one that corrupts them to allow them to be able to push these drugs and help fuel the drug crisis here in this country.
SPEAKER 02 :
My dear brothers and sisters, this is Father Andre and Oscar Delgado, a producer of this wonderful movie, which we are entering in through the triumph over evil that he produced a few months ago and that you saw it, probably most of you or many of you. And then he’s going to give a link again and we’re going to make this movie available. We are talking about exorcism. We are talking about solemn exorcism. We are talking about this unique form of a blessing with authority from Jesus Christ himself as our Lord and Savior, who gave us the power to cast out demons and to cast out the devils. But with that, my friends, the important part in our lives that we will discuss today is to look also at the general context of our human life enabling and somehow what is the deeper plan of the devil why exorcism is important and the exorcism as such is an indicative of a bigger battle a battle between good and evil this battle goes all the way up to heaven this is where it all started an original battle that produced the original disobedience that produce the original hate, desire of a falling angel to kill God and to take his place. And from that comes all forms of evil, personal, individual, moral evil, and unfortunately even viral environmental evil that attacks human health, but also comes objective evil, an evil that comes as such in its pure form to try to take possession many times over places, many times over people, many times over specific situations. It sows the seeds of confusion. of murder, of hate, of division, of lying. And there is only one person, one God, one Son of God who called him out, Jesus Christ, when he called him the liar, the murderer, and the father of all lies. And in such a way, Jesus, through the prayer and fasting, gave his apostles this power and authority to cast out the devil, to adjure the devil, exorcismo, to adjure the actual devil. But so in the context of the exorcism, you know, our producer Oscar has an amazing background and he’s telling us about his background during the wars as he was covering the wars in areas. And there he encountered in a particular way this force of evil that lays behind almost most of the acts of violence. But also it lays behind many of our social problems. So going in the beginning of the movie, Oscar, why now the timing of the movie? And has it to do with a strategy that is in your mind, especially that you had to produce already a movie about purgatory and a movie documentary about St. Michael or a movie about St. Michael? Is it like a sequence? Please tell us about your story.
SPEAKER 03 :
This is very important. This is an incredibly important question, Father Andre, because you hit exactly on the mission that God has given me. So you may or may not disagree with the statement, but I’m just telling you that I believe that the return of Christ is soon. And what does that mean? That means that everything for me, for my purposes, everything that i’ve chosen you know love and mercy purgatory um saint michael meet the angel the face of jesus which is like the holy face devotion and now this one i only choose things that i believe that are there that are in keeping with this preparation of preparing the faithful for what’s coming okay we’re in a battle unfortunately there are things that are happening that are not good with our church that are not healthy in my opinion and that lead people away from the true faith for the for the authentic magisterial faith. And it weakens. There’s not enough clarity. OK, so in order for us to be ready to be battle hardened, these are the projects that I’ve chosen. over the last five years to help prepare the faithful for what’s coming. We are in a battle. There’s a battle for our souls. And unfortunately, the clarity is missing in many of the things that are being promulgated. And I say that with due respect to the Holy Mother Church, but As a journalist, as someone who’s trying to be objective, I see issues that people are confused. There’s not the clarity that I believe that should be done and forthwith so that people can have a clear understanding of what, you know, we’re about. And I take two examples and I have people who will understand. When Christ forgave the adulterer, when she wrote on here, what did he say at the end? He said, go and sin no more. Go and sin no more. That does not give us a license to do whatever we want. We have to have a reparation. We have to have those things. And so I feel, and I’m sorry, Father. I’ll do respect. I’ll do candor. I feel that, unfortunately, there has been a license to do as you wish. God loves you no matter what. And so there is no reality. There’s no accountability to say, you know what? I’ve sinned. But you know what? I’m going to try to restore my life. No, it’s fine. God loves you as you are. Do whatever you want. that’s not our teaching that is not and we all fall short we’re all sinners but the point of our faith is to try to repent and move forward as weak as we are but to acknowledge that um that we that we need to do better and to acknowledge that we need to fall short before god not that we keep us in the state that we’re in And I think, again, I go back to the example of training for a marathon. The marathon is 28.6 miles. That is a marathon. 28.6 miles. You need to train for 28.6 miles. However, I feel that sometimes in the church, there’s a shortcut. Oh, you don’t have to train 20. You know what? You’re fine the way you are. You know, just run five miles. You’re good. No. We have to train for this battle to make us holy. And I think that’s what’s missing. And so everything that I’ve done, Father, that brilliant question of yours, everything that I’ve chosen as leads into this narrative of preparing the people for the coming changes that are coming. We cannot continue on this path. We cannot. So we need to prepare for what’s coming. And the films that I’ve done, that I’ve chosen to do, are those elements that will help us in preparing for these changes.
