All right, Hour 3, myself, Andy Pate, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Should have mentioned this a little bit earlier, but we had all sorts of other things going on. So something that’s in the news, something I talked about a couple of years when this particular accident— it wasn’t an accident, by the way, this murder that happened April 19, 2023— Uh, where the three men, young men were, they were up in Jefferson County, up in kind of my neck of the woods. They were on Indiana. They had done this in other areas around the Northwest part of town as well, but they were taking landscape size boulders that they were picking up from like Walmart parking lots where you see those things out in the islands and such and, And they were throwing them at oncoming vehicles. And in this particular case, they threw one. It went through the windshield of Alexa Bartell’s moving vehicle. She subsequently died because of that. I passed, not daily, but I passed this spot at least weekly, if not sometimes more than once a week. And a lot of folks are still putting out What a horrifying thing to do. Oh, it’s absolutely awful. Well, these three young men, two of the three have been convicted. I don’t know exactly, and it’s not in front of me. I think one of them was 60 years. Another one was like 47 or so years. And the ringleader, his name is Joseph Koenig. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment. in prison without the possibility of parole. So he was convicted of first-degree murder. And, again, what a tragedy, Andy. Not only a tragedy because of the loss of life of the young lady. That in and of itself is huge. Right. But now, because these were young men. The families of these young men, you now have ruined four families’ lives because of the acts of what these young men did. And this guy being basically the ringleader, he essentially, and I know that takes more than one, he wasn’t the only one, although he’s the only one that’s been convicted or that’s been sentenced to life without parole, meaning he was the ringleader or that wouldn’t have happened. So reality, Andy, is he’s ruined four families’ lives, not just one. I mean, think about his parents. Think about the other young man’s parents and so on.
SPEAKER 07 :
I can’t even conceive of where this guy would get in his mind. And I don’t care. Well, he’s a teenager. Teenagers do dumb things. No, not like that.
SPEAKER 04 :
Like this. They don’t.
SPEAKER 07 :
You’re throwing. I mean, how big were these rocks? You shouldn’t. Oh, wow. So bigger than like two softball sizes.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah. I think these were like 8 to 10 inches in diameter. Well, my gosh. Heavy enough that you’re picking up something that’s substantial. Keep in mind, they had practiced enough. This is the other thing about this. Again, I wasn’t there. I wasn’t at the jury trial or any of that kind of thing. But I guarantee you that the DA and those that were bringing charges against these individuals probably proved that to do this, you had to have practiced enough. prior to doing this in other words and they had they had hit other cars windshields and so on sometimes they missed sometimes they caught the corner of the glass but they had been practicing this so this wasn’t something that they were just willy-nilly let’s grab one rock throw it out and see what happens no they had been doing this for other nights besides this night just so happened that this night they finally hit their quote-unquote target and she died Because remember, Andy, you’re throwing this at a moving car coming at you. I know. You’re not even on the side of the road doing this. You’re in a moving car. That’s a moving car. And you’re throwing this rock out the side of the truck at the oncoming car.
SPEAKER 07 :
John, bottom line, these are monsters. They belong in prison. That’s where they are.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s where they’re at. And that’s where they’re going to stay. And my whole point is, and this is where I do feel bad, because no parent wants to hear their child died. No parent wants to hear that their child was the one that caused the death, and now your child is going to be in prison for life. And I don’t know if they’re siblings or anything else along those lines, but you now have affected all the lives of these other people, these other families that are now involved.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, and you never know. On the one hand, there’s a part of me that thinks, how did you parent these kids that they would actually endanger life in this way? I mean, what kind of parenting leads to this? But on the other hand, in the modern society, John, there are so many other impacts on kids. Parents don’t do all the raising of kids anymore. Society raises kids to such a degree, which is horrible. You know, I don’t know all the impacts on these kids’ lives. I don’t know, but all I know is this. What they did was monstrous. What they did was horrifying.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, absolutely. Sorry, one was sentenced to 27 years, one was sentenced to 45 years, and the other is life.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Either way, these young men, they will be old men. Even the ones that are getting out will be old men when they come out, and one never will. Think about that, Andy. You’re now going to spend the rest of your life in prison. What a grave thing to actually have to now face.
SPEAKER 07 :
I know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Especially as the parents and as the family.
SPEAKER 07 :
John, but let me ask you, does he deserve it?
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, absolutely. I think so, too. And sorry, this is and I know this is hard. And if you’re the parents of this young man, I mean, I’m sorry, I feel bad. But does this particular young man deserve the death penalty? I believe he does. Yes. I believe he does. He’s the one that threw the rock. He’s the one that caused the death of another human being. He did it maliciously. It wasn’t on accident.
SPEAKER 07 :
That was an attack.
SPEAKER 04 :
It was an attack, absolutely.
SPEAKER 07 :
I don’t… Oh, I did it for fun. Then you did for fun. You didn’t attack. Okay? I don’t care what your motive was. I don’t care why you did it. You took a large rock… and hurled it down at a car and attacked an innocent person and killed them.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes. And on top of that, keep in mind, and I talked about this when this all happened, They not only did that, Andy, but they turned around after they knew they hit her to go back to see exactly what damage they had done. So it wasn’t even like they threw it and kept driving. They threw it, knew they hit her, probably saw the brake lights and stuff go off the side of the road because where they were at, she went off into a field. They probably saw that, turned around, and even went back to look to see what happened. Sick. It wasn’t even that they just kept on driving. They went back. Yeah, and I think they took… Thank you, Charlie, for saying that. Yes, I remember now. They actually also took pictures on their cell phone, Andy.

Oh, good. Get a trophy. You know, John, let me tell you something. The guys they’re going to meet in prison are a lot tougher than them. Oh, man. These are guys who do the worst kind of crimes. These are guys who don’t cowardly whip rocks off bridges and run.
SPEAKER 04 :
And thank you, Charlie. It’s in this article that I’m reading right now. They went back to get a better look. They took photos, whooped, and drove away. They never called for help. They never made any effort to save her. Instead, they formed a pack to be blood brothers, as if taking my daughter’s life was something to be proud of. That’s what the mom, Kelly Bartell, said.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, these monsters are about to be surrounded by real monsters. And by the way, don’t get me wrong. Anybody who commits these atrocities of any kind are cowards deep down. But I’m telling you, John, the men they’re going to be around right now are terrifying.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, and again, my point with all of this is, and maybe I look at this a little bit differently, but yes, these young men’s lives will be changed. Oh, yeah. The life of the family of the young lady whose life was took, their lives are changed forever. But now also the other families, even siblings and so on, whose, you know, their brother now is going to be in prison for quite some time, and in one case forever, until they die.

You know, I do hope somewhere, somehow, some young people know of this story and learn something. Yeah.

You sure hope so, Andy.

And learn, my gosh, we can’t be so careless with what we do. We can’t have fun at the expense of others when it might be dangerous. We can’t do it. I hope that this lesson travels through the young community.

I sure hope so, and I hope that these young men can maybe even as they become hopefully reformed and they do their time and they can share that story and even maybe assist with some of the things that you just mentioned, Andy, hopefully they will, instead of going and becoming bitter, realize the error of their ways and help others not to do the same thing. American doctors are looking to relocate to Canada to avoid the Trump administration. It’s why, and again, I talk about Dr. Scott a ton. This is why we talk about Dr. Scott as much as we do, because he’s not one of these sniveling, you know, cowardly snowflake doctors that are out there, by the way.

Totally agree. But what would they be fleeing from? I mean, what is Donald Trump doing that would make life harder for an American doctor? I mean, I would think that he’s doing things that would make life easier for an American doctor.

Some of them are saying that they feel some guilt that they did not stay to resist the Trump agenda, which, again, how this has anything to do with the medical community is beyond me. Part of being a physician is being kind to people who are in their weakest state. I feel that our country is devolving to really step on people who are weak and vulnerable, Andy. What? What? What are they talking about? This is an NPR article. I’m just reading you what NPR says.

Yeah, I know NPR. By the way, no tax funding. Thank you. Yeah, exactly. But, John, this is ridiculous. What on earth is America doing to stomp on weak people?

I mean, this reminds me of all the newscasts, and I just saw another one, who talk about immigrants and not illegal immigrants when it talks about, you know, the Trump administration’s actions. You know, we think it threatens immigrants. No, it threatens illegal immigrants, and they always leave illegal out. Maybe these doctors are, I mean, weak Americans. What do they mean, weak Americans?
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t know. In fact, as I read through this trying to figure out what exactly are these guys, quote unquote, guys and gals, what are they upset about, protesting, leaving for? And I can’t – there’s no answer, Andy.
SPEAKER 07 :
John, what I mean is this. Look, you’re going to have liberals in general, be it a doctor or a Hollywood star or whatever. Right. Who wants to leave America just because they don’t want to be in Donald Trump’s America. I get that. OK, the political landscape has become something that you can’t handle and you think the other side is really mean. Hey, I thought the other side was really mean during Obama and Biden. It was hell for me. OK, I get that. I understand. But why is it a bunch of doctors? Because, I mean, let me throw this by you. Are they worried that because of their actions during COVID-19, Good question. Because, look, a lot of doctors, what they did is they prescribed very poorly, in my opinion, to benefit pharmaceutical companies during COVID.

Andy, that’s not your opinion. That’s a fact. That’s exactly what they did. That’s a fact. I’m just saying. Absolutely. It’s what I believe. Absolutely.

And, I mean, it is also my opinion that gravity exists. Okay, so just so you know.

Okay, but, John, what I’m saying is this. are they worried maybe that justice is turning? And maybe they’re leaving not because of… Because, look, Donald Trump is not doing anything to make the medical community a worse place to be in.

They’re wary of the escalating right-wing political rhetoric, Andy.

Once again, what has that got to do with the medical community? Nothing.

There has been escalated left-wing rhetoric before, escalated right-wing rhetoric before. There’s escalated all-wings rhetoric going on. What does this have to do with the medical community? And all I can think about is this. Donald Trump is a threat to them in one way and one way only, and that is Kennedy. He is a threat because now the light is being shown upon what they did during COVID.

And big pharma and, and, and. Right. I mean, does that make sense? You’re 100% correct.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay. And so maybe the medical community could be worried about how that they could flat out be getting exposed before long.

That could be.

And I’m not talking all of them. I’m talking some of them.

The extreme examples, the ones who… You know, let’s face it. We’re treating… Look, I believe that there were people who… I know one who was unvaxxed who unfortunately went to the hospital and was treated horribly because he was unvaxxed and they basically… You know, it was an escort into death. Okay. And I just don’t… I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. They were pushing a vaccine that didn’t work. But keep in mind, that vaccine was developed under Trump. So it’s not like he’s going to be going after the vaccine. I don’t know what they’re thinking.

Again, I think it’s a lot to do over nothing. I feel like, as usual, these are snowflakes. They’re worried about something, frankly, they don’t need to be worried about at all. And rather than do what’s best for their own patients and their own practice, if they even have one. It sounds like a lot of these folks are coming out of hospitals and things like that, so not necessarily practices per se, Andy. But they’re going up to work in now socialized medicine in Canada. They’re not talking politics. Exactly. They just want to be fixed up. Yeah, fix my foot. They’re not caring about any of that stuff. So at the end of the day, I see it as just a bunch of snowflake doctors that are upset their feelings might get hurt at the end of the day, Andy. I’m sorry. That’s how I see it.

Well, yeah, but that’s across all professions. Why are we talking about doctors? I wonder if the jig is up. I don’t know. Would you agree with this, John, that in those areas that I looked at, okay, you’re talking COVID, you’re talking the vaccine, you’re talking transgenderism, and you’re talking some other things, that there have been a good number of doctors in our country that have been flat-out predatory.

Now, I’m not saying every doctor who’s not Dr. Scott is predatory. I’m not saying that, okay? But you know what I mean. Maybe the predators are running.

You could be right. It could be one or the other, or both, a combination of the two. Could be that. Could also be that these are just, literally, these are a bunch of snowflakes that decided to get into the medical profession that now are afraid that they might get their feelings hurt by who knows what, and so let’s just go to Canada instead.

Okay, one last question. Do you want a doctor who’s afraid that politics that don’t go his way will hurt his feelings.

No, I do not.

So is this any loss?

No, other than it does probably make it a little bit tougher in the medical community because you’re losing doctors at a time where we probably need more. On the same token, Andy, because of the way that the health care industry itself, we talk about this a lot even with Dr. Scott, because of the way that in big pharma works, you’re going to see a lot of doctors like Dr. Scott just frankly leave that altogether And say, you know what? I’m going off on my own. I’m not going to be a part of this. I’m going to do things the way that I want to do it. And, yeah, patients are going to pay me directly instead of going through the insurance company. But at the end of the day, they’re going to get better care. Okay. And that’s exactly what’s happening.

In a weird way. Okay, the U.S. has confirmed, and this is from the Epoch Times, who I love, the expiration of the Chevron license that allowed it to export oil from Venezuela.

Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay. And I don’t want to go into the whole story here, but basically, we are no longer… Because the oil that is exported out of Venezuela, it’s like three to one, the money just goes to Maduro, from what I hear. And we don’t want to benefit Maduro. He’s a bad guy. Okay? So… Here’s the question. I don’t know if you’ve heard about this, but there is a heck of a separatist movement rising up in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, I’ve seen that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Okay. Do you realize that this actually grants a lot more leverage to them up there? Do you know why? Why is that? The kind of oil. Alberta puts out a certain kind of crude that is actually very similar to what you get out of Venezuela. And if we don’t get it from Venezuela, we’re going to need more of it from Alberta. In fact, the lady who is the… What is it? Prime Minister or whatever it is of Alberta. She’s the leader of Alberta. She was talking about the very fact that she wants to deal with Trump and the Americans because she said, look, you get… millions of barrels from a place that you don’t want to support, we have that kind of oil that is ideal for your refineries, for certain refineries, you know, different refineries. Yeah, different refineries are for a different kind of oil.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, that’s their tar sands oil they have.
SPEAKER 07 :
Exactly. And she said, we have that kind of oil. We want to sell it to America. We love America here in Alberta. And so right now, this changes. I believe this changes the entire trade negotiation because I do believe that Trump wants to basically burn Canada to the ground. Basically allow them to experience great economic pain so that they will come to the table and give real negotiations. All right? Because let’s face it, Canada’s entire election was about rejecting Trump. And you know Trump. He doesn’t like that. All right? And now, though… Canada is dealing with, they are dealing with the very real problem of the separatist movement rising up in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Now, because of Chevron not dealing with Venezuela anymore, Alberta just became, and Saskatchewan too as well, just became incredibly important to the United States in trade negotiations. What do you see happening? Well…
SPEAKER 04 :
It’ll be interesting because I just looked up. We buy, last year, 2024, we bought about 222,000 barrels a day from Venezuela. So it’s not like we’re buying millions upon millions of barrels.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, that’s a day, though.
SPEAKER 04 :
That adds up. Yeah, but it’s just a per-day basis. Keep in mind, we as a country use 20 million barrels a day. So 222,000 is not that much in that respect. How much does that… raise what we’re already buying from Canada I think we buy and don’t quote me I’d have to double check this but we buy what 3 million or so a day from Canada is that about right I don’t know exactly again I got to look this up do you know I think yeah I think it’s in that range am I am I pretty close on that so you know 300 or 3 million becomes 3.2 million or so I don’t know at the end of the day how much more you know what does that do to affect the relationship between us and Canada I guess is the question

Well, what she was saying is that actually, she said, the daily difference between what America produces and what we consume is over 3 million barrels.

And so now the coastal ones, the problem that they have, and they just elected this rabid communist. Right. Okay. Correct. But the problem he has is that they are actually coming close now. They’re rising up in the numbers. They could secede. And he could have a full separation on his hands if he doesn’t accommodate them. And so what he has to do in dealing with Trump, Trump’s going to go to him and say, look, these two want to deal with us. And they got what we want. And we want to deal with them. We like them. We want pipelines. We want them now. We want to get this moving. Do you want to get this moving? Do you want a deal? And if you don’t deal, I’m going to tell you, you’re going to have a lot of very upset people in those two provinces.

I’m not going to deny that. It would be interesting to see, and I’ve watched some different videos and things on her in Canada talking about just America and that part of the country has always been— Pro-America. Yeah, well, pro-America, and I would even say pro-Canada when the rest of the country isn’t because they’re pro-everything but Canada.

They’re capitalists. They’re conservative.

Yeah, and the knucklehead’s running it or not.

And she’s not a big separatist, but she’s fine with the separatists. She’ll go with them, you know, but she’s not their leader. So how would that work? For those two provinces to separate. They just become part of the U.S. or what? No, they would become their own nation. However, it would be like Israel, a nation with incredibly favorable relations with the United States.

Dumb question on my part, and I’m not saying this will happen, but dumb question. If they separate instead of becoming their own country, why not just become the 51st, 52nd state?

If they did that, of course, you know, the Democrats would be furious.

Oh, it’d be a phenomenal deal. Okay. Look, anybody who lives in Alberta and Saskatchewan who is not for secession is out of their minds economically.

Well, I think most are. That’s the whole point, right?

Yeah. They’re being taxed into the ground. Alberta, for instance, I believe it’s Alberta. Okay. gets taxed like $17 billion, and they only get about $10 billion in benefits from the taxes. They are huge net payers into the coffers. Why? Because of oil and gas. But here’s the thing, John. They aren’t even producing oil and gas at nearly the levels that they can. They’re being held back by the wacko environmentalists who are running the Canadian government. If they were allowed to produce on the levels they want to produce, oh, they’d be, I mean, they are jam-packed with oil and gas.

And not just oil and gas, but also mining.

Mining rights are huge. They would be rare earth minerals. They would be, here’s the big thing. If they were to secede, they would be overnight wealthy. And I mean the citizens of Alberta and Saskatchewan would be so loaded with money It’d be like walking into Kuwait.

Why can’t we just, while we’re at it, get the Northwest Territories, the Yukon Territory, that connects to Alaska, and then we’re like all the way up to Alaska. That would be awesome. It’s not even the lower 48 anymore.

Well, this is why, but if you look at the other side, the east, and obviously the west coast, British Columbia.

He they what they did is the Trump administration. They took action to rescind a Biden era climate rule that locked up millions of acres from future oil and gas development. And, you know, we’re always told, oh, you know, the Indians, well, they absolutely don’t care about this stuff. They care a lot. They stood up and plotted. They said, we want these jobs. Yeah, it’s money for them.

And it’s not just money. It’s big money. Right. And so, yeah, Joe Biden unveiled on Earth Day in 2024 blocking jobs. This thing blocking development across 13 million acres of federal lands in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve. Okay, well, Trump’s going to open it up. And they are so excited. So I just wanted to throw that out. Folks, people love Drill Baby Drill. In fact, they were up there. They were saying, Drill Baby Drill. Drill Baby Drill. It’s so cool. So I thought that was pretty cool. What do you think?

No, I think it’s fabulous. And I know enough about… Alaska, I’ve known some folks that have lived up there and so on where they need some of this as well, Andy. Some of what went on on the North Shore, they called it the North Shore for years and years, has sort of diminished, if you would, and they need another kickstart, if you would. So, yeah, I guarantee you this is welcome news to those individuals up there. Absolutely.

Well, they’re about to get it, and that’s fantastic. Okay. Do we have a minute? We do. We’ve got a minute. Go for it. Okay, really quick here, just so you know. Dan Bongino says the FBI is closing in on the January 6th pipe bomb suspect. Now, in case you’re wondering, why is this a big deal? I don’t have time to go into what this means except this. The Biden administration dropped this entirely and did not want to bring out who the J6 pipe bomb suspect is. The reason this is important, long story short, is that the J6 pipe bomb drew attention away from January 6th. It drew officers, law enforcement away. Remember, Pelosi also didn’t want the 10,000 troops that Trump wanted. They wanted the area unsecured so it could be as bad as possible. Here’s the thing. Why would they drop the investigation to find out who the J6 bomber is? The J6 bomber is wearing a hoodie right now. And this is the most surveilled area in the country. You can simply go back, go back, go back, find where this guy got out of a car and trace them. They didn’t. And in only being in his job for a little over a month, Bongino is already closing in on who it is. That means that Biden covered it up. Why do you think they covered it up? If that person is a DNC contact, they are in trouble.
SPEAKER 04 :
Sort of blows up their whole J6 narrative, if you would, right? No pun intended, but yeah. It literally blows it up.
SPEAKER 07 :
This could be huge. I’m telling you something. I know this sounds small right now. If that J6 bomber is connected to the DNC, the Democrats could get wiped out in 2026. They could lose more seats. It is that big of a story.
SPEAKER 04 :
No, it is. And it’s one of those stories that, you know, to your point, Andy, have really kind of, you know, run under the radar, I guess you could say. Right. Even you and I haven’t talked much about it just because there hasn’t been much information on it because of what you said the last administration did.
SPEAKER 07 :
There is every, yeah, I did a show on it when you were out. You were out of town and I did an entire segment, a couple segments, and broke it down and said, look, there are a lot of reasons to believe that this could be a DNC contact. Somebody working with the DNC doing this. The way these bombs were put, and I don’t have time to go into it right now. No, you’re fine. But I’ll tell you what, it could be really bad for them. It could be really horrible for them because what it does is it shows that they wanted all of J6 to happen.
SPEAKER 04 :
So one thing that we didn’t get a chance to talk to, I think I’ll table this until next Tuesday, was an article I was going to get into talking about what is the Democrat Party going to do? In other words, what’s going to be their MAGA movement? They are, in a lot of ways, Andy, disoriented. They’re trying to figure out who’s going to be their leader. Is it Bernie? Is it AOC? Is it this one? Is it that one? It won’t be those two, by the way, because they won’t allow it. But who’s it going to be moving forward, and how do they somehow, someway get a MAGA movement started inside of the Democrat Party?

They can’t have a MAGA movement because MAGA movement is very masculine, and they have treated men as the problem for decades.

You can’t turn that around, but… the people who should be leading them right now are Shapiro and Fetterman.
