Frustration builds after Virginia’s redistricting vote, but there’s a clear message: don’t panic and don’t give up. The conversation breaks down how Democrats pulled off the win with heavy outside funding, a controversial ballot strategy, and messaging critics call misleading. Now the focus shifts to what comes next—whether Republicans respond in places like Florida and what a growing “red vs. blue state” reality could mean for the country. There’s also a deeper dive into claims about gerrymandering tactics, media narratives, and who really started the fight. The big question hanging over everything: when one side declares “maximum warfare,” how
SPEAKER 14 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 09 :
You’re frustrated over what happened in Virginia last night? Are you a little down? Are you worried about what could come next? Well, here’s a message from somebody who… informed, entertained, and enlightened millions and millions of Americans for many years, and his message is as true today as it was back when he said it.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, let me just tell you, folks, it’s never going to be time to panic because we’re never going to give up. We’re not going to give up on America.
SPEAKER 09 :
It doesn’t happen. That’s not who we are. We don’t hate this country. We don’t despise America. The place we live and love, we’re not going to give up. Look, you’ve got to hand it to the Democrats. They pulled it off. Thanks to millions and millions of outside dollars and outside influence, a deceitful campaign to pretend that the gerrymandering scheme was going to be fair, they did what they thought they had to do. They think they finished it. They’re lying and pretending that Trump and Texas started the gerrymandering war, which will be news to, oh, I don’t know, Illinois, Maryland, New York, New England. There’s not a single Republican congressman representing any of New England. So, look, don’t despair. We know what they did, and they’ve made it very clear what they want next. They want a war. And I don’t love this. I don’t like knowing that we’re about to see a country of just red states and blue states, no more purple states, because Virginia now has gone completely blue. And it’s basically a 50-50 state. But thanks to this warfare that they engaged in, and that’s their word, incidentally. Don’t accuse me of using that word. Every Republican who is a politician in America on the city, state, or federal level should take Hakeem Jeffries’ post last night, frame it, and put it in their office. Every single Republican should memorize Hakeem Jeffries’ words last night as he taunted more than half of the country. He said, and I quote, maximum warfare everywhere all the time. What should the Republican response be? It’s simple. Challenge accepted. Florida, you’re next. We’re going to talk to Roger P. Shulman this hour, our newsman, and find out the specifics of the Florida legislative session, the special session that begins next week. We know where Governor DeSantis stands, and Florida stands to redistrict to the tune of five additional Republican seats, which will cancel out what Virginia did yesterday. And what Virginia did yesterday is so ridiculous that even a CNN reporter admits that that this gerrymandering in Virginia is insane. I mean, they actually tried on the ballot, they wrote, should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections? They took a state that Kamala barely won. She won by five points. and turned it into practically zero representation for Republicans. Check out what this CNN reporter said in looking at the new Virginia congressional district map.
SPEAKER 01 :
And just take a look at how this map is structured. What they do is they’ve taken the heavily Democratic areas in the northern area of Virginia, and they’ve created five separate districts that basically pinwheel out to go out into conservative, more rural areas, including where we are right now in the proposed seventh congressional district. It’s actually interesting. We’re kind of like smack dab in the middle of the district. And if you go in one direction, there’s another district about a mile and a half away in the other direction. There’s another district about two miles away, really highlighting the shifts that are being seen.
SPEAKER 09 :
Look, okay, fine. If you want, here’s what Hakeem Jeffries wrote last night. Democrats defeated Trump’s gerrymandering scheme in Virginia. Huh? You defeated his scheme by gerrymandering Virginia? That’s how you defeated Trump’s scheme? Well, whose scheme is it in Virginia? Would that be your scheme, Hakeem? And we’re on to say we will crush the DeSantis dummy mander in Florida. Now, this is interesting because Ron DeSantis is about to, his term ends not too long from now. as governor of Florida. According to Axios, and I’m going to see if we can get confirmation from our newsman, Roger P. Shulman, later this hour, Axios is reporting that DeSantis is begging for a job in the Trump administration. He wants to work in the Trump administration. Maybe AG. Maybe chief of staff. I don’t know. Who knows what Governor DeSantis would like to do, but it’s clear, according to the Axios reporting, that he wants to be in the administration. Well, what better way to land in the good graces of President Trump than to make sure that Florida does what Virginia did? I don’t really believe it makes any sense to whine today, to stamp our feet, to finger point. I know there’s lots of blame to go around. The RNC spent nothing in Virginia, practically. They were obsessed with John Cornyn in Texas, spending money on him. If they spent some money in Virginia, maybe it would have won, and maybe this would have been rejected. But it’s too late for that now. If Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrats want to go to war, I don’t think there’s any other alternative, is there? I don’t like saying that. I don’t like any bit of this. I’m not comfortable watching America turn into 50 red or blue states. I like talking to people who disagree with me. I was married to a Democrat. I have friends who are Democrats. I don’t want to go to war with Democrats. But let’s be clear. They’ve declared war on us. So when your political opponents declare war on you, then you have one of two options. You go to war, or you curl up in a fetal position and let clowns like Hakeem Jeffries beat you. And I don’t think Republicans are going to do that. 800-655-MIKE. We’re in the Relief Factor studios. It’s a busy breaking news day because on top of this, you know, sad outcome in Virginia comes really bad news for the Southern Poverty Law Center. And the big announcement by the Justice Department will tell you all about that as well. But when there’s a big breaking story like the Virginia outcome, I always turn to you. I hope you’ll… Flood the zone. Call me, 800-655-MIKE. Give me your reaction to what unfolded yesterday in Virginia. As redistricting barely passed, 51 to 49 percent, and now practically zero Republican representation in a state that only, that Kamala only carried by five points. So, hey, time to roll up our sleeves. and go to work. Perhaps, just perhaps, this was the event that will finally cause Republicans to grow a spine. Think that could happen? 800-655-MIKE, like North Carolina just texted me on the MyPillow text line, if someone declares war on you, if you don’t fight back, you lose. Well, in the immortal words of Rush Limbaugh, we’re never going to give up. We’re going to fight, fight, fight. 800-655-6453. This sounds crazy, but I found that I can make peach cobbler on my grill. Peaches, brown sugar, butter, oat cinnamon, all inside my MyGrilly basket. Close it up, flip it a few times, your backyard will smell like heaven. Food is juicy inside, perfectly done outside. Toss in veggies, protein, shrimp, steak, even desserts. Imagine raspberries and Nutella. Flip it, roll it, one and done. I love it. The MyGrilly is genius. Perfect for busy families. I originally bought MyGrilly for veggies, but now I’m finding out I can grill everything. Wings, shrimp, fries. I turned my grill into an outdoor oven, 100% stainless steel, and you can toss it into the dishwasher, so no cleanup. Now you don’t need to think about dinner. Matt, the MyGrilly guy, has the recipes ready for you, so you can just throw the grillie on the grill when you get home. Trust me, your grill is about to become your favorite kitchen appliance. SPEAKER 09 :
So here we go. We’re going to have a nation of red states or blue states. Virginia is going to be a blue state after, well, been a purple state because the Democrats and look, I am a big believer. And giving credit where credit is due. I know that the entire Virginia gerrymandering effort was cloaked in deceit, starting with the governor, who campaigned on a promise of not gerrymandering. As soon as she got elected, she dove right in. She’s a liar. She’s a fraud. That’s what they’re doing. That’s their tactic. Campaign as a moderate, fool dummies into thinking that they’re moderates, and then govern like radicals. So if Hakeem Jeffries wants a war, if he is all about warfare, then that’s what Republicans have to do. No more complacency. No more trying to play nice. Those 21 Indiana Republicans who had the chance to do this back in December, you faceplant it. You’ve embarrassed your state and this country. Every single one of them ought to be ashamed to show their face after what the Virginia Democrats did. But again, they did it. The Democrats in Virginia pulled it off. They lied. They deceived. They put a lie on the ballot? Oh, this is about fairness. The other big lie, oh, this got started in Texas. It’s laughably false. Let’s start with Fred in Charlottesville, Virginia. Charlottesville, incidentally, which is making news after what the DOJ did with the Southern Poverty Law Center yesterday and the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. More on that in just a moment. Hey, Fred, welcome to the show. Hi there. Thanks for taking my question. You bet.
SPEAKER 04 :
What’s the question? How is what Texas did different? Virginia put it to the voters to make a decision if they wanted to do this. And, you know, so how is that different? How is that? declaring war as opposed to just responding to what was done in Texas.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, wait a minute, but let’s be clear. Hakeem Jeffries last night said we’re declaring war. Hakeem Jeffries announced maximum warfare everywhere all the time. So challenge accepted. If Democrats want to declare war, then Republicans have to fight back. And that’s what we’re going to do. So that’s fair.
SPEAKER 04 :
But is what Virginia did not fighting back against what Texas did?
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, is what Maryland did fighting back against what Virginia eventually did? Is what Illinois did? First of all, you’re right. Both parties do it. No question about it. You’re completely correct. What is not correct is that it started in Texas. That would be a newsflash to all the people in New England who have seen all the states in New England gerrymandered to the point where there is not a single Republican representation in any of New England. In New York, this happened in 2022 after an extreme gerrymander that the Democrats did in New York in 2022, Fred, completely ignoring the independent commission they supposedly created. The courts stepped in, said you can’t do it. Then the Democrats sued. They bullied two Court of Appeals judges off the bench. The point is, Fred, this has been going on for a long time, Democrats and Republicans. So it didn’t start in Texas, and it didn’t start with Trump. So that’s just factually incorrect. Okay. I’ll take it. Okay. But look, hey, to your point, both sides are doing it. And get ready, because you don’t think Florida’s going to dive in? I want you to hear a fascinating conversation about how votes are counted. This was an interview with Laura Logan on her Going Rogue podcast. And this is a former CIA ops officer, Gary Bernstein, and an author, Ralph Pizzullo, with Laura Logan talking about gerrymandering. Now, again, for people who don’t understand, gerrymandering is a way to redefine districts and change boundaries in order to have an unfair representation for one party over the other. Check out this exchange. This is fascinating stuff. You’re going to appreciate this. Again, this is Laura Logan on her podcast with an author and a former CIA operations officer.
SPEAKER 08 :
They know where they can find the dead people that they need to get certain votes. They plan this, as Gary said before.
SPEAKER 11 :
It’s meticulous.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s meticulous. These guys are experts at this. It’s not just a few guys in a back room. You’re talking about hundreds of statisticians and engineers, and they work it, you know, for a year.
SPEAKER 11 :
And mathematicians. Right. And hackers.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right, right, right. We had a map out of Colorado when we were talking to our engineers. The guys that designed it stole the elections. And we looked at it and we said, look, you know, it’s Denver here and Colorado Springs, all the Democrats. And they looked at us in pity, you know. They said, no, we just go to every one place where Trump went 70-30 and he went in 68. We shave in every other place. We don’t go near a Democratic place because when they want to do recounts, they’re going to go to the Democratic places. They don’t realize we shaved in every other committee. We know every other county. We know how to do this. And then in each of those things where they shave, they shave with a different technique in each one of those. So if you found something in one county, there’s no continuity around the state that way.
SPEAKER 11 :
So this is why the Republicans are so much at fault, because they have the power and the ability. to show in their areas they can allow access to the machines, they can allow access to the source code, they can allow the… But they thought we just won by 35%.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, we didn’t win by 38%. We won by 35%, so no one’s going to call that they should have, right?
SPEAKER 11 :
Right, because everyone says, well, we expected the Republicans to win by a majority. Well, it was a little less than we thought it was going to be, but they still won, so, you know, no harm, no foul. But the evidence of the fraud is right there, and they could show it.
SPEAKER 09 :
They never looked at it. There you go. There you go. Fascinating. Look, they know how to do this. They know how to play the game. And as the kids say, don’t hate the player, hate the game. What’s Florida going to do next? Stand by. Roger P. Shulman will join us to lay it all out for you. You don’t have a weight problem. You got a body that’s in survival mode. Here’s a live look at beautiful Sedona, Arizona on the Salem News Channel live camera. We appreciate you watching Salem News Channel every chance you get. 24-7, we’re the antidote to the mainstream media, snc.tv for all the different ways you can watch us. Of course, we’re heard also on AM 960, The Patriot. Love The Patriot. I’m going to be making some trips this year to Phoenix, Arizona. So stay tuned for those details. Got a lot of travel coming up. Uh, Really, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, got good things coming. I just saw Steve Bannon over at the War Room point out how the Democrat Party showed exactly what they are. They took Fairfax County, home of the deep state, and they destroyed five congressional districts by doing what they did yesterday. They would never show a map of The way they worded it was intentionally bizarre. But as Steve points out, and look, he’s been in the trenches a long time, the Democrats understand power. And they will do anything to win. Anything. I’m always stunned at the casual way the Democrats and the legacy media lie. It just rolls off their tongue. Look at the first paragraph of Axios. Mike Allen wrote today at Axios, the Inside the Beltway news site that a lot of us look at. Headline, Democrats’ Virginia gamble pays off. Virginia voters’ narrow approval… 51.5% to 48.6% of a plan to redraw the state’s congressional map has swung the nationwide redistricting fight that President Trump provoked. In Dem’s favor for now. Axios’ Hans Nichols reports. Trump provoked? That’s a lie. What are you talking about? Now do Maryland. Now explain Illinois. Now explain New England. Now explain New York. That’s a lie. Trump didn’t provoke anything. Of course, when you can blame Orange Man bad for everything, you think you’re scoring points. They lie the way we breathe. It’s crazy. Just casually, oh yeah, Trump provoked that. Trump didn’t provoke New York in 2022. No. It’s actually almost just comical. You go down the list. You look at New England. Look at Massachusetts. Massachusetts voted 36% Republican, zero Republican seats. Connecticut, 42% Republican, zero congressional representation. Maine, 46% Republican, zero congressional representation. New Mexico, 46% Republican, zero seats. New Hampshire, 48% Republican, zero seats. Rhode Island, 42% Republican, zero seats. Vermont, 32% Republican, zero seats. Hawaii, 38% Republican, zero seats. Delaware, 42% Republican, zero seats. You see, to Axios, to Democrats, to the legacy media, it’s only bad when the Republicans do it. What the heck do you think the Democrats have been doing for years? For years. So it’s okay. Look, they won. They did it yesterday in Virginia. It’s just the beginning. Florida’s next. We’re going to check in with Roger P. Shulman, and we’ll see if Florida is going to grow a spine. And with the Florida legislature… convening a special session, legislative session, let’s see what they’re capable of pulling off. Because they could do something very important. I also want to ask Roger what he thinks about this Axios reporting, speaking of Axios, that DeSantis wants a job in the Trump administration. Portions of our show sponsored by Rough Greens. I love looking at, I’m kind of a softie for dogs, and I love looking at all the cute doggy videos on X. They got a bunch of them. No one likes saying that last goodbye to your furry friend that you’ve loved for years. It’s heartbreaking. And the time just flies by. Most of us would do anything to love them longer. Dog owners don’t realize the live nutrients their dog needs to thrive are missing from their food. That’s where Rough Greens comes in. Rough Greens is America’s number one dog supplement. It’s number one for a reason. People love it. They see what it does for their dog. You just sprinkle it on top of their food. It’s packed with probiotics, enzymes, omega oils, 20 live vitamins and minerals, supporting digestion, energy, overall health from the inside out. Look, I witnessed it firsthand. My dear friends Peg and Joey have a cocker spaniel named Jesse. Jesse and Simon, they’re babies, they’re fur babies. Jesse was scratching in the middle of the night, couldn’t stop. The vet couldn’t figure it out. Joey started sprinkling rough greens on Jesse’s food. And they’re very picky about what they feed their dogs. Not only does Jesse love the taste of Rough Greens, the scratching stopped. Hey, get a free Jumpstart trial bag for your dog today. You cover shipping. That’s it. Go to roughgreens.com. R-U-F-F. We’ve been telling you about the… Gulf of America cruise in November. Scott Jennings and I are going to co-host. Scott’s doing incredible work. And if you haven’t seen him on CNN, here he was last night laying out brilliantly the Virginia gerrymander scheme.
SPEAKER 10 :
Virginia had literally had the fairest maps in the nation. They had a 6-5 map, six Democrats, five Republicans. In terms of proportional representation, they had the fairest map in the nation that was drawn, by the way, by an independent commission that the voters asked for just a few years ago. Now they will have the least fair maps in the nation. And I’m not surprised that the yes vote won. They had all the money and all the lies. And sometimes in politics, when you got those two things, you can put something over the line, even something as egregious as this. This whole thing has driven Spanberger’s approval ratings down into the toilet. She lied to the people of Virginia. They had to write a ballot question that was a joke. They drew maps that were a joke. Now you’re going to have huge chunks of rural Virginia represented by five or six Democrats who all live in northern Virginia within about 15 miles of each other. It’s a complete joke. Everybody knows it. And there’s a reason that all these national Democrats and all their money came into Virginia, because You know, they don’t really care about the people of Virginia.
SPEAKER 09 :
Look, at the end of the day, what matters to them is their chance to win in the midterms. And that’s what it’s all about. That’s what it all comes down to. So what’s next? Well, Florida, to be exact. We’ll check in with veteran Florida newsman, one of the best in the business, the one and only Roger P. Shulman. He’ll lay out what Florida could do coming up. Hey, it’s Mike Gallagher, hoping you’ll join me on the unforgettable Gulf of America cruise happening in November of 2026. And we thank you for watching Salem News Channel. Go to snc.tv to check out all the ways you can watch. And thank you for making this the fastest growing. TV platform in the country. I hate recognizing that we’re going to be looking at red states and blue states only. But don’t get discouraged. Remember a guy. That if it wasn’t for him, none of us would have a job today in this wild, exciting world of conservative media and talk radio and television platforms and podcasts and the digital space. It really was all created by this guy who had a very important message for times like these.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, let me just tell you, folks, it’s never going to be time to panic because we’re never going to give up. We’re not going to give up on America.
SPEAKER 09 :
No way. We’re not going to give up. And we’re not going to panic. We can’t. You know that we have truth on our side. You know when they lie, they’ve got nothing. We’ve got facts. We’ve got truth. We’ve got, I mean, this really is, I mean, we’re talking darkness here. Here’s the acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanch revealing yesterday what was uncovered about an organization called the Southern Poverty Law Center. Now, the SPLC is one of these NGOs. It’s an organization that’s been around for a long time. They continually smear conservatives. And they claim to combat extremism. They claim to try to shut down hate groups. Turns out, according to the Justice Department, they were actually funding hate groups. Here’s the acting attorney general.
SPEAKER 07 :
In total, according to the indictment, between 2014 and 2023, SPLC paid at least $3 million to… to eight individuals at least. These individuals were affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan, United Clans of America, National Socialist Movement, Aryan Nations-affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, the National Socialist Party of America, Nazis, and the American Front. Now, as the indictment lays out, after SPLC paid members of these extremist groups, it created work product that reported on these activities that the members participated in or contributed to. And to that end, it was doing the exact opposite of what it’s told its donors it was doing, not dismantling extremism, but funding it. To carry out this scheme, SPLC created bank accounts in the name of at least five completely fictitious organizations that had no bona fide employees or legitimate business purpose. Wow.
SPEAKER 09 :
Not only were they funding hate groups, but they concocted a narrative. Remember Charlottesville? Remember Unite the Right? They were behind it. They helped fund it. That was the whole smear against Trump. They used the Unite the Right rally for years to smear Trump. When Trump said there are fine people on both sides of the issue of Confederate statues, that got turned into Trump said neo-Nazis are fine people. Of course, that was a bald-faced lie. He never said that. He said that there were fine people on both sides of the debate over whether or not to take down Confederate statues. But that doesn’t matter to them. They lie. The late Charlie Kirk appeared on… Laura Ingraham’s show on Fox News Channel. After the Southern Poverty Law Center designated Turning Point USA as a hate group. Thought it would be important to kind of take a trip down memory lane and listen to Charlie’s visit with Laura.
SPEAKER 13 :
The Southern Poverty Law Center has now labeled, you’re in the club with me by the way, they’ve labeled Turning Point as a hate group.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes, it’s a coming from a hateful group. It’s a surprise took them so long to get us on.
SPEAKER 13 :
What took you so long?
SPEAKER 12 :
Understand that they’re literally putting high school chapters of ours on a hate group next to the KKK and next to neo-Nazi groups. And I mean, we can laugh this off. There’s an element to this. Remember that there was a shooter that went to the Family Research Council years ago, inspired by the SPLC list. This is them trying to make us. basically surrender at Turning Point USA. We’re going to do the opposite, and our students are only going to lean in even more. But they can’t debate us on our ideas. They cannot have dialogue. They cannot actually go on to the merits of why they are right or why we might be wrong. Instead, they must smear us with the age-old one-liner that you are a racist or that you are a hater. And they’re finally realizing the power of Turning Point USA, which is why they put us on this list.
SPEAKER 13 :
perspective, you’re a threat, right? So they call me the high priestess of hate, right, Sam? Is that what they call me? Congratulations.
SPEAKER 1 :
2008.
SPEAKER 13 :
Oh, it’s old. It’s so old. But again, the Democrats, I think they appeal to a certain very whiny man.
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 13 :
It’s at the pajama boy, whatever they’re calling him.
SPEAKER 12 :
Do you remember that? That’ll Obamacare advertisement. I never forgot that guy. It was the archetype of the liberal man. What they think a man is. Yes, that’s right. Never standing up for yourself. Very feelings based. No assertion, no drive, no grit. Almost always pandering to the zeitgeist of the times where it turns out, especially in the heartland of this country. The American man is still alive, and he wants his country back. And they showed up in record numbers for President Trump, and they’re rejecting the Democrat Party. They’re the backbone class of this country. They make the country work. They’re largely forgotten. And the Democrats spending $20 million on video game advertisements.
SPEAKER 13 :
Let them burn that.
SPEAKER 12 :
By the way, if they think that’s what it’s actually going to take to win back young men, maybe you need a message and a messenger.
SPEAKER 09 :
Gosh, I miss that kid. We miss Charlie. And isn’t it chilling to hear him talk about a shooter? may be inspired by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Anybody connect the dots over the target the Southern Poverty Law Center put on Charlie’s back? And then an assassin climbed up on the roof of a building and shot him in the neck and killed him in front of a horrified crowd and the world? People better be going to jail. And it looks like the Justice Department is bound and determined to make that happen.
SPEAKER 02 :
Here’s something most people don’t know. When Warren Buffett was just 13 years old, he didn’t put his money into a savings account. While other kids were earning next to nothing at local banks, Buffett put $114 into a little-known investment. Today, that $114 would be worth over $15 million. And it wasn’t a risky trade. It wasn’t even insider knowledge. It was an account that’s been around since 1888, and over the last 25 years, it’s averaged 29% a year. That’s what happens when your money is allowed to compound. Compare that to today’s savings accounts, paying less than half a percent while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power. Buffett understood early. Banks are great businesses, just not for savers. If you’d like to see what some investors call the 29% account, go now to SecretAccount29.com. That’s SecretAccount29.com. SecretAccount29.com.
